A Study of the Selection of the Valuation Items of the Environmental Illumination Design for a Bridge (교량의 경관조명연출디자인 평가항목 도출에 관한 연구)

  • It is an attempt to suggest the standard valuation method of the environmental illumination for the bridges across the Han-river from an aesthetic point of view, deviating from the technical and traditional viewpoint. In Korea the current evaluation criterion to verify the value of bridge design has a partiality for the technical and structural safety rather than the sentient beauty on the whole. However, the recently cultural reform of Korean mass society with the elevation of the standard of living forces the engineering designers for bridges to focus not only on competing physical structures but also on enhancing the formative beauty including the illumination effects for night view. Additionally, the new policy, which transforms the environments around the Han-river into the major tourist attractions has been executing strongly by the city authorities to revitalize the symbolic, historic, and cultural identity of the capital city with the introduction of the high-quality environmental illumination for the bridges. As a result, It becomes necessary to establish the manual and standardization of the environmental illumination planning for the city in terms of the formative beauty, and this study is to suggest the valuation model method of the environmental illumination for the bridges as the initial step of the standardization. In the study, the valuation items of the standard questionnaire are selected by the documentary records and the consultation of various experts in architecture, design, fine art, urban planning and even administration to verify the essential elements of the aesthetic beauty with the local amenity and the environmental harmony for the chosen bridges across the Han-river.

Heat Consumption Pattern Analysis by the Component Ratio of District Heating Users (지역난방 사용자 구성비에 따른 열소비 패턴 분석)

  • To run an optimal operation of Integrated energy supply facilities, we need to analyze heat consumption patterns of District heating users and derive optimum and maximum load ratio of heat production facilities unit. This study selects three District heat production facilities. It also classifies District heating users into residential apartment buildings and eight non-residential buildings and analyzes heat consumption results for an year. Finally it carries out the analysis of how the ratio change of each type affects maximum load ratio, facility utilization ratio, heat supply range. According to this study, three different District heat facilities of residential apartment building show similar daily and annual heat consumption patterns. Annual average load ratio, maximum load ratio and annual heat demand increase as outdoor temperatures decrease. Non-residential buildings in urban District focused on apartment buildings display similar by the daily and annual heat consumption patterns. Yet their daily and annual maximum load ratio differ according to outdoor temperature, District, building types and their composition ratio. In the case of urban District focused on apartment buildings reach optimum and maximum load ratio when apartment buildings reaches 60-70% of the total. At that point heat supply range becomes maximized and the most economic efficiency is obtained.

Comparative Study on Perceived Effectiveness of Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo - 2013 and 2023 with a Focus on Visitors - (순천만국제정원박람회 개최효과 인지 비교 연구 - 2013, 2023년 방문객을 중심으로 -)

  • By comparing and analyzing the effects of the 2013 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo and the 2023 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo, designated as Korea's first national garden, this study aims to present basic data for the future operation direction and sustainability strategy. First, in both fairs, satisfaction throughout the event was high, 4.0 or higher. In particular, the satisfaction level of the 2023 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo was higher than that of the 2013 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo. As the longest international event held since the COVID-19 pandemic, it reflected the citizens' demand for healing and recharging in natural spaces. Second, as a result of comparing the types of perceptions that affected satisfaction, it was found that economic, environmental, and ecological types commonly affected satisfaction at the 2013 and 2023 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo. The 2013 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo established the brand value as an "ecological city" by creating a garden in the city center along with an ecological resource called Suncheon Bay. In addition, the 2023 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo expanded the scope of the garden to the entire city center. It also attempted to create a city where humans and nature coexist by realizing values, such as responding to climate change and carbon neutrality. In other words, one of the ways to secure urban competitiveness is to attract corporate investment and tourists and build a differentiated brand in Suncheon by promoting the 2023 fair based on the potential ecological values of the region after the 2013 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo. Therefore, if the Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo continues to develop environmental and ecological content and programs in line with changes in society and tries to establish itself in citizens' perception through cooperation with local governments and residents, it will be able to establish its identity and brand power.

A Study on Rainfall-Pattern Analysis for determination of Design flow in small watershed (소유역의 설계유량 산정을 위한 강우현상 분석에 관한 연구)

  • The rainfall pattern analysis on time distribution characteristics of rainfall rates in important in determination of design flow for hydraulic structures, particularly in urban area drainage network system design. The historical data from about 400 storm samples during 31 years in Seoul have been used to investigate the time distribution of 5-minute rainfall in the warm season. Time distribution relations have been deveolped for heavy stroms over 20mm in total rainfall and represented by relation percentage of total storm rainfall to percentage of total storm time and grouping the data according to the quartile in which rainfall was heaviest. And also time distribution presented in probability terms to provide quantitative information on inter-strom variability. The resulted time distribution relations are applicable to construction of rainfall hyetograph of design storm for determination of design flow hydrograph and identification of rainfall pattern at given watershed area. They can be used in conjuction with informations on spatstorm models for hydrologic applications. It was found that second-quartile storms occurred most frequently and fourth-quartile storms most infrequently. The time distribution characteristics resulted in this study have been presented in graphic forms such as time distribution curves with probability in cumulative percent of storm-time and precipitation, and selected histograms for first, second, third, and fourth quartile stroms.

  • As urbanization progresses, the demand for parks and green space is increasing. Park green spaces in the city are important spaces in the city because they are recognized as spaces where people can freely engage in outdoor activities. The park service area is a measure that shows the extent to which services are provided based on distance. In this process, the concept of accessibility plays an important role, and walking, in particular, as the most basic means of transportation for people and has a great influence on the use of parks. However, the current park service area analysis focuses on discovering underprivileged areas, so detailed evaluation of beneficiary areas is insufficient. This study seeks to evaluate park service areas based on the pedestrian accessibility and the pedestrian network. Park services are services that occur when users directly visit the park, and accessibility is expected to be reflected in terms of usability. To quantify the pedestrian network, this study used space syntax to analyze pedestrian accessibility based on integration values. The integration values are an indicators that quantify the level of accessibility of the pedestrian network, and in this study, the higher the integration value, the higher the possibility of park use. The results of the study are as follows. First, Bundang-gu's park service area accounts for 43%, and includes most sections with high pedestrian accessibility, but some sections with good pedestrian accessibility are excluded. This can be seen as a phenomenon that occurs when residential areas and commercial and business areas are given priority during the urban planning process, and then park and green areas are selected. Second, based on Bundang-gu, the park service area and pedestrian accessibility within the park service area were classified by neighborhood unit. Differences appear for each individual neighborhood unit, and it is expected that the availability of the park will vary accordingly. In addition, even in areas created during the same urban planning process, there were differences in the evaluation of park service areas according to pedestrian accessibility. Using this, it is possible to evaluate individual neighborhood units that can be reflected in living area plans, and it can be used as a useful indicator in park and green space policies that reflect this in the future.

  • Recently, in contemporary society, because of the international economic crisis and the increase of unemployment, there are dangerous crime elements that threaten the safety of citizen. The Safety from the crime is important as much as existence of need. Therefore, in order to make the safety of community, the government needs to make the best effort. In everyday life, crime is the fear of the target. Therefore, if the government can not solve the crime problem, the quality of citizen's life can not improve. In order to safety of community, this study is the one of the crime prevention diagnosis about shopping district and shopping mall. Also, this study can apply to the policy. If this study can apply to the policy, the safety of citizen's life will be protecting. The content of this study consist of introduction in chapter 1, theoretical consideration in chapter 2, foreign crime prevention diagnosis evaluation in chapter 3, crime prevention diagnosis in chapter 4 and conclusion in chapter 5.

Effective Decision of the Route Alignment with Digital Terrain (수치지형모형을 이용한 효율적인 노선결정)

  • The 3-D analysis of terrain for route design and selection is being used as important basic data for effective judgement of political draft. This study is to decide efficient alignment of the entry route and design bridge by modeling, analyzing and displaying surface with digital terrain data. In this study we analyze slope, aspect, shaded-relief, line of sight and watershed on the base of DTM such as contour, TIN and grid. And we can not only esti mate end-area volume for road construction by calculating cut and fill and displaying mass-curve but also recognize the scene after execution with simulation of road and terrain. The result of this study reveals that visual effects of the 3-D terrain data are very effective for designer and decisionmaker to select and review alternative route with regard to terrain characteristics.

  • 기후변화로 인해 예측하기 어려운 강우패턴의 변화와 도시화로 인한 불투수면의 증가로 도심지는 매년 침수위험에 노출되어 있다. 배수시설의 개선은 인구밀도가 높고 유동인구가 많은 도심지에서 이루어지기 쉽지 않은 상황이며, 강우패턴의 변화는 예측과 대처가 어려운 상황이다. 이러한 이유로, 침투증진을 통해 직접유출수를 줄이는 연구 중 LID(Low Impact Development)에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. LID기법은 도시화로 증가된 불투수면을 투수면으로 대체하여 저류, 침투, 여과, 증발산을 유도하여 물 순환 회복에 기여할 수 있는 방법으로 옥상녹화, 투수성포장, 침투 트렌치 등의 기술요소가 있다. LID 기술요소에 대해 국외의 경우 설치방안과 평균적인 저감효과를 메뉴얼로 제시하고 있지만, 강우 및 토지의 지역적 편차가 큰 국내에 적용하기에는 어려운 상황이다. 또한, LID 모델링의 경우 유역 내 적용 면적에 따른 유출저감효과를 제시하는 연구결과는 다수 제시되고 있지만, 적용 면적과 지점에 따라 효율성을 제시하는 점에서는 다소 미흡한 상황이다. 따라서 LID 기술요소 별 설계 사례와 GIS를 바탕으로 유역 내 적용 지점과 면적을 산출하고, 적용 지점 및 면적에 따른 저감 효율을 분석하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구는 SWMM모형을 이용하여 LID 기술요소 중 옥상녹화를 적용하여, 강우 강도와 적용지점 및 면적에 따른 유출저감 효율을 분석하고자 한다. 연구지역은 청계천 유역으로 총 면적의 75% 이상이 주거지, 상업지, 교통시설 등을 포함한 불투수면으로 이루어져있는 도시 지역이다. 강우자료는 10년, 30년, 80년 빈도 확률강우량을 적용하였으며, 옥상녹화를 적용하기 위한 지점과 면적은 GIS를 기반으로 산정하였다.

  • 최근 국지성 호우 등 홍수방어 시설의 설계빈도를 초과하는 강우 발생으로 홍수피해가 증가하고 있다. 그 중 도시지역의 내수침수 피해는 전체 피해액의 50%를 넘는다. 그러나 우수관거의 노후화 및 통수능 부족으로 우수의 즉각적인 배출이 이루어지지 않아 침수피해가 증가하고 있다. 침수피해의 주요 원인 중 저지대 지역 및 우수관거의 통수능력 부족이 침수피해의 가장 큰 원인을 차지한다. 따라서 도심지의 경우 내수침수로 인한 피해가 증가하고 있는 점을 감안하면 배수관거와 연계한 저류시스템 구축으로 침수 빈발 지역의 치수 능력 향상을 통하여 경제적 피해를 저감시킬 수 있다. 저류시스템은 현장 노면수 저류를 위한 측구 저류조와 저류조 운영 시스템을 의미하며, 저류조 운영 시스템 모델에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 측구 저류조 운영 시스템 구축을 위해서 현장 센싱(Sensing)데이터와 연계할 수 있는 정보체계 및 운영 시스템 모델이 필요하다. 이에 센서를 활용한 도심지 측구 저류조 운영 시스템 모델을 제시한다. 먼저 센서의 구성은 측구 저류조 내의 협소한 공간과 전원공급, 방진·방수 문제를 해결할 수 있도록 구성되어야 하며, 무전원 근거리 이동통신기술(RFID)을 적용하여 측구 저류조 운영 시스템 수집서버와 통신하여 센싱 데이터를 저장한다. 데이터는 근거리 RFID 리더기가 측구 저류조로부터 센싱 정보를 수신하여 통신모듈에 수신한 저류조 개폐도어 열림과 닫힘 시그널(signal), RFID의 고유 ID 등을 전달 받아 운영 시스템 내의 RFID 이력 DB(Database)에 기록한다. 기록된 정보는 각각 RFID 일련번호, 기록 시간, 동적센서 시그널 값 등이 저장되어 각각의 측구 저류조의 상태를 확인할 수 있어야 한다. 저류량 산정을 위해서 GIS기반의 하수도 시설물 속성 데이터를 포함하는 운영 시스템을 구성해야 한다. 운영 시스템은 수집된 센서정보를 시계열 단위로 분석하고 위치정보 기준으로 측구 저류조 내의 총 저류량 산출에 필요한 기초정보를 제공하며 결과를 표출한다. 따라서 하수도 시설물의 속성정보를 포함하여 측구 저류조 및 센서의 속성정보 정의가 필요하며, 공간정보 파일(Shape File)을 적용하여 GIS 운영 시스템을 구축하여야 한다. 운영 시스템은 저류조 만관상태와 총 저류량을 산출하여 침수위험 알림을 제공할 수 있으며, 예상 강우에 따른 도심지 피해를 역으로 예측하여 강우사상 빈도에 따른 측구 저류조 체적을 결정할 수 있다.

  • 강우의 유출은 하늘에서 발생한 강우가 다양한 유역을 거쳐 하천 및 해안 등으로 방류되는 일련의 과정을 의미한다. 강우의 유출과정에서 좀 더 효율적인 유량처리를 위하여 대부분의 도시 유역에는 우수관망이 설치되어 있다. 우수관망은 일정 빈도 이하의 강우량 방재를 목적으로 설계하며, 해당 강우량을 초과하는 경우 침수피해가 발생한다. 우수관망의 목표 강우를 초과하는 경우를 위하여 우수 저류지, 펌프장 및 LID(Low Impact Development) 시설물 설치 등 다양한 노력이 지속되어 왔으며, 이를 더욱 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 연구가 지속되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 강우 발생유역을 격자로 분할하여 우수의 흐름을 파악하여 효율적인 저류지 및 LID 시설물의 설치 위치를 지정하고자 한다. 분석지역은 경상남도 창원시 마산합포구 인근이며, ArcGIS 10.8을 이용하여 해당 지역의 지형을 3D로 구현하였으며 EPA-SWMM 5.1을 이용하여 침수분석을 진행하였다. 또한, 구성된 TIN(Triangulated Irregular Network)를 10m × 10m 크기의 격자로 분할하여 지표고에 따른 유량의 흐름 및 중첩을 판단하였다. 분할된 격자들 중 유량의 중첩 정도가 가장 높으며 침수피해 정도가 높은 지역을 대상으로 종류 및 크기를 고려한 최적의 비용과 효율을 갖는 저류지 및 LID 시설물 설치 위치를 결정하였다. 우수관망 시스템, LID 시설물, 우수 저류지 각각의 시선에서 접근한 기존의 연구와 달리 다양하고 포괄적인 방재시설물 설치를 통해 더욱 효율적이고 경제적인 우수 방재 시스템 구현에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다. 우수관망 시스템, LID 시설물, 우수 저류지 각각의 시선에서 접근한 기존의 연구와 달리 다양하고 포괄적인 방재시설물 설치를 통해 더욱 효율적이고 경제적인 우수 방재 시스템 구현에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
