Information Literacy Program is a new important theme in librarianship, especially in university library. The purpose of this study is to give an overview of information literacy program, its meaning, and its importance to information society. This study also provides a brief description of the program being developed at university libraries in America and Korea.

This study suggested following specialized strategies to be operated in additionally constructing a library, based on a variety of cultural properties and contents, which exist in Dong-gu, Incheon, and the Dong-gu development zone proposed by 'Dong-gu Master Plan 2022'. First, it attempted to select specialized themes based on local characteristics such as cultural properties and contents by each region, by dividing Dong-gu in Incheon into four areas: culture tourism/theme tourism, historical culture, central commercial and infrastructure industry area. Second, it proposed a specialized theme and strategy for children's library to be completed in 2022 by considering the local characteristics. Third, it also suggested the specialized strategy which the representative library should pursue, by considering the social characteristics of Dong-gu.

Recently, interest in Public Lending Right has increased in Korea. This study aims to collect valuable data necessary for the discussion of the introduction of Public Lending Right by analyzing the loan statistics of 820 public libraries nationwide for five years from 2014 to 2018. In order to analyze the loan statistics of Korean public libraries, 1,178,300,000 big data provided by 'Data for Library' operated by the National Library of Korea were used. Through the analysis of loan statistics, 125 books were identified, which have been lent the most in the last five years. The study examined the 125 books to find out who are authors and Japanese authors and authors' nationality. The study also analyzed publishers and number of lending of cartoons.

공공도서관의 미래는 전자화된 정보의 통신 체계 확립과 확산된 컴퓨터의 보급으로 인하여 급격한 변화를 마지하게 될 것이다. 변화의 핵심에는 "텍스트성의 종언"과 "가상세계의 공유된 환각"의 가능성이 역동적인 작용력으로 잠복되어 있다. 공공도서관은 이들 두 가지의 변인이 초래하는 시대에 어떻게 존재하여야 하는지를 고찰하여 보려한다. 먼저 탈 구조주의이론이 제기하는 "텍스트성의 종언"이라는 명제를 살펴보고자 한다. 다음으로 사이버 스페이스의 무한 가능성에 대한 이해를 설명한다. 이를 통하여 공공도서관이 있어야 할 존재양식을 제시하고자 한다. 이러한 시도는 무모한 모험이 될 것이다. 그러나 장래에 대비하기 위한 방향을 설정하는 데에는 유용한 관찰이 될 수 있을것이다.향을 설정하는 데에는 유용한 관찰이 될 수 있을것이다.

In this paper, I studied on reading instruction in the school library. Reading instruction is a very important role of school library. And it is an essential element of school education. In this paper, I tried an application of constructivism for reading instruction. Information literacy instruction of school library includes reading instruction. So the pattern of information literacy instruction of school library was accepted as reading instruction pattern of school library in this paper. And then constructivism for learning principle and reading strategies as reading instruction was analyzed in this paper. Gerard J. Westhoff categorized reading strategies into 4 parts. I applied this categorization of reading strategies to the reading instruction pattern. And I analyzed and synthesized these relative constructivism elements and reading strategies for the reading instruction pattern in this paper.

This study was conducted to identify the operation status of Dobong-gu public libraries in order to establish a mid- to long-term development plan for Dobong-gu libraries, and to analyze local residents' perceptions of libraries by factors through user surveys to suggest specific development plans for Dobong-gu libraries. Overall, the satisfaction level of Dobong-gu residents with library services was found to be high, and all libraries were analyzed to be providing high-quality services. From this, the following operational strategies for the mid- to long-term development plan of Dobong-gu public libraries can be derived. First, libraries need to continue to collect and provide books that meet the quantitative and qualitative levels to satisfy the needs of the community and users. Electronic and online materials, including e-books and audiobooks, as well as subject-specific materials should be expanded to provide relevant programs. Second, although Dobong-gu is an aging city, a wide range of age live there, so there is a need to promote communication and understanding between generations and promote integration of the community through a generational empathy program. Third, it is necessary to remodel and improve the space of aging libraries by organizing library facilities and environments into open spaces and creating makerspaces and multicultural spaces for direct experience and practice, reflecting the latest trends in library space organization.
