The Study on the Optimized Earthwork Transfer Path Algorithm Considering the Precluded Area of Massive Cutting and Banking (대규모 절성토 지역의 제척지를 고려한 최적화된 토량이동 경로 알고리즘 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the optimized transfer algorithm of earthwork considering the precluded area such as the lake, bogs. The earthwork transfer plan in massive cutting and banking should be established because of affecting the construction cost highly. Until now, there was the study about the optimized earthwork transfer model considering the OR(Operating Research). but isn't the study about the model considering the precluded area such as the lake, bogs. In most cases, the engineer adjusts the earthwork transfer path considering the precluded area, manually. The presented model suggests to calculate various visibility paths with $A^*$algorithm after converting the precluded area to polygon topology. By using this paths, the minimum cost path to optimize the earthwork transfer can be obtained. In this study, the validity of the model was proved as implementing the system for the optimized earthwork transfer considering the precluded area.

LSTM-based Particulate Matter prediction for efficient road scattering dust removal path proposal (효율적인 도로 비산먼지 제거 경로 제안을 위한 LSTM 기반 미세먼지 예측)

  • 1급 발암물질인 미세먼지 중 44.3%를 차지하고 있는 도로 비산먼지는 효과적인 미세먼지 농도 저감 대책의 방안 중 하나이다. 도로 비산먼지 제거는 일반적으로 특수 차량을 이용, 정해진 경로와 주기에 따라 운행된다. 이러한 운행방식은 도로의 오염 현황에 따른 효과적 경로 선정 및 운영이 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 도로 비산먼지 제거의 효율적인 경로 제안을 위해 대구지역에 분포된 KISTI 이동형 도시센싱 테스트베드에서 수집되는 고해상도의 실시간 지역별 오염 현황 데이터를 활용하여 실시간 오염도를 분석하고, LSTM(LONG SHORT-TERM MEMORY) 알고리즘을 활용하여 미래의 미세먼지 농도를 예측하였다. 기존 연구와 달리 지역별 상황을 고려한 데이터를 사용하여 선형 회귀 분석을 수행하였다. 실험 결과, 시간 속성을 고려한 LSTM이 MLP 보다 평균 제곱근 오차 값이 경우에 따라 최대 30% 더 작음을 확인했다. 본 연구를 기반으로 고해상도 사물 데이터 기반 예측 연구의 가능성을 보였으며, 미세먼지 예측 결과를 활용 유연하고 효과적인 도로 청소차량의 운행 경로를 설정에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • In this paper, the critical strains for pavement design were calculated from both Layered Elastic Program (LEP) and Finite Element Method (FEM) and the case studies which give similar critical responses were compared. Although FEM has been realized as a superior model, LEP is more favorable to pavement design due to its simplicity and thus, the technique to calculate the correct critical responses using LEP is significant. This study showed that KENLAYER can possibly estimate the critical responses close to ones obtained from TTIPAVE, which considers nonlinear cross-anisotropic behavior of unbound base materials, by adjusting the stress point locations.

  • This study examines which models are more suitable for representing mechanical property of unbound materials to analyze behavior of asphalt pavement structure. Results from FWD (Falling Weight Deflectometer) test were used to apply to nonlinear elastic model. The new method which can deduct material constants of nonlinear elastic model is suggested from FWD test data rather than laboratory resilient modulus ($M_R$) test. It is confirmed that the material constants are within the common range in subbase. Test output from FWD and MDD (Multi-Depth Deflectometer) was used to verify reliability of the model. From the results of verification, this study shows that a non-linear elastic model agrees to MDD test data more than a linear elastic model does.

  • According to the present highway design criteria, there are minimum standards which re ade from special design speeds. If some highways are satisfied the standards, it regards he highway as safety. In reality, however, most drivers drive a car at different speed compared with design speed. It is very dangerous for drivers especially at transition sections between curve and horizontal curve sections. Hence, this study calculated the rate of changing and horizontal acceleration at each section. Moreover, this study evaluated thesafety of design at curve transition sections and then calculated lateral acceleration and curve radii. This study found the minimum standards which are using as basic safety standards are not appropriate for measuring driver's safety.

  • In these days, frequency of constructions on e freeway are increasing according as growing of the importance of e road maintenance and the road management. Work zone on the freeway where vehicles pass with high speed needs control method of lane closure and construction equipment. Because there are seldom researches in domestic study about reflecting characteristics of domestic road, sometimes we have applied for foreign cases to our traffic circumstance but it is not proper to apply for standard of other countries in our cases. foreign nation has different country square, condition of road, and level of people mind. Therefore, this study shows traffic accident characteristics in freeway work zones in Korea. At first, this study collected traffic accident data which include for 3 years $2003{\sim}2005$ in the whole freeway in Korea and then divided the data to five parts - level of the accident, type of the construction work, type of the accident, reason of the accident, according to geometric. According to comparing with non-work zones accident, this study found traffic accident characteristics in freeway work zones in Korea and suggested some alternative ideas for safety of work zones.

  • In this research, to get over restrictions of a field expreiment, we modeled a planning road through the 3D Virtual Reality and achieved data about dynamic response related to sector fluctuation and about driver's visual behavior on testers' driving the Driving Simulator Car with Eye Camera. We made constant efforts to reduce the non-reality and side effect of Driving Simulator on maximizing the accord between motion reproduction and virtual reality based on data Driving Simulator's graphic module achieved by dynamic analysis module. Moreover, we achieved data of driver's natural visual behavior using Eye Camera(FaceLAB) that is able to make an expriment without such attaching equipments such as a helmet and lense. In this paper, to evaluate the level of road's safety, we grasp the meaning of the fluctuation of safety that drivers feel according to change of road geometric structure with methods of Driving Simulator and Eye Camera and investigate the relationship between road geometric structure and safety level. Through this process, we suggest the method to evaluate the road making drivers comfortable and pleasant from planning schemes.

Evaluating the Safety Effects of Dynamic Message in a Work Zone: A Case Study (도로 공사구간 동적표지판 안전효과 평가: 사례 연구)

  • Generally speeding appeared to be the most contributing factor of fatalities occurred in work zones, and highway agencies in South Korea have concerned of the safety of workers and drivers in the poor circumstances. In this study, a portable variable message signs (PVMS) system as an alternative of control speeding in work zones was implemented. This study evaluated the safety effectiveness of the PVMS based on speeds and the compliance with the speed limit. Linear regression and logistic regression models were adopted to quantify the safety effect of the PVMS between the 'before' and 'after'. The results showed that most of points had statistically significant speeds reduction experience after PVMS installation. Also, the percentage of vehicle exceeding the speed limit by 10 km/h or more was decreased significantly between 50 and 80% in the 'after' periods compared to the 'before' periods. Therefore, the PVMS would be contributed to benefit safety in work zones which there is a difference in design speed of the adjacent normal section.

  • 최근 웹 서비스 사용자와 웹상에 대용량 콘텐츠의 급증으로 웹 서버의 부하가 가중되고 서비스의 질이 떨어지는 문제가 발생하였다. 이러한 문제의 해결로 콘텐츠를 다수의 지역 서버에 복제하고 복제 서버로 하여금 클라이언트의 요청을 처리하도록 하여 웹 서버의 부하를 줄이고 트래픽을 분산하는 콘텐츠 분산 네트워크 기술이 사용되고 있다. 이러한 다수의 복제 서버 사용하는 환경에서는 복제 서버의 효용을 극대화 할 수 있는 배치 전략이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 복제 서버의 효율을 위하여 선형 구조상에서 지연과 트래픽이 기반 한 각 노드의 비용이 임계값을 초과하지 않도록 복제 서버를 배치할 수 있는 방안을 제시하여 O(N(N-1))의 시간복잡도로 문제를 해결하였다.

Study about the Standard of Anti-icing System Based on Geography and Geometric Designs (기하구조 및 지형적 요소를 고려한 융설시스템 설치 기준 정립에 관한 연구)

  • Anti-icing system can immediately respond when snowing is expected or the snow comes down on the road surface. It has been recognized that the system can reduce traffic accidents and congestion by quickly removing the frozen road surface area. However, it is very difficult to implement this system due to the expensive equipment installation and operation cost, Recently, there was a developed program for predicting the freezing area using three-dimensional model and tracking the sun path. But, there is no objective analysis method and all developed approaches are different so that the general standard of anti-icing system is needed. In this study, we proposed the decision criteria for determining application priorities of the anti-icing system based on weather and road conditions, i.e., geometric and topographic conditions. Regional climate survey, topographical analysis, and dynamic vehicle simulation considered road geometry and skid resistance was conducted to standardize the installation method of anti-icing system.
