  • On the advent of digital era, ECDIS has emerged as a new navigation aid that should result in significant benefits to safe navigation. More than simply a graphics display, ECDIS is a new concept navigation system capable of providing integrated information of geographical and texual data. As an official vector data for ECDIS, ENC consists of spatial and feature data to describe objects in form of points, lines and areas. IHO published International Standards for ENC, such as S-52(Specification for Chart Content and Display Aspects of ECDIS and S-57(IHO Transfer Standard for Digital Hydrographic Data). This paper deals with the implementation of an EUC representation system which meets S-52 presentation specification and S-57 transfer standards by analyzing S-57 data structures and converting then to an appropriate internal data structures and representing them onto screen adopting S-52 presentation specification.

  • As the era of big data, which is the foundation of the fourth industry, has come, most related industries are developing related solutions focusing on the technologies of data storage, statistical analysis and visualization. However, for the diffusion of bigdata technology, it is necessary to develop the prediction analysis technologies using artificial intelligence. But these advanced technologies are only possible by some experts now called data scientists. For big data-related industries to develop, a non-expert, called a citizen data scientist, should be able to easily access the big data analysis process at low cost because they have insight into their own data. In this paper, we propose a system for analyzing bigdata and building business models with the support of easy-to-use analysis system without knowledge of high-level data science. We also define the necessary components and environment for the prediction analysis system and present the overall service plan.

  • With the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution, AI utilization capabilities are being emphasized in various industries, but AI education design and curriculum research as universal education is currently lacking. This study offers a design for universal AI education to further cultivate its use in universities. For the AI basic education design, a questionnaire was conducted for experts three times, and the reliability of the derived design contents was verified by reflecting the results. As a result, the main competencies for cultivating AI literacy were data literacy, AI understanding and utilization, and the main detailed areas derived were data structure understanding and processing, visualization, word cloud, public data utilization, and machine learning concept understanding and utilization. The educational design content derived through this study is expected to increase the value of competency-centered AI universal education in the future.

  • Recent research on information and communication technology and Internet-of-Things indicates that convergence and integration facilitate the development of various technologies. Similarly, related academic theories and technologies have also gained attention. This paradigm shift facilitated the convergence and integration of academic disciplines. In particular, information systems have become initiators of change. However, only a limited number of studies have been conducted on information systems. To address this gap, this study explores the future direction of information systems based on the core concepts and results of the comparative analysis conducted on research trends. We considered 48,102 data obtained from international top journals from 1980 to 2015. We analyzed journal titles, authors, abstracts, and keywords. We conducted the network analysis on existing collaborative studies and performed comparative analysis to visualize the results. The results provide an in-depth understanding of information systems and provides directions for future research on this area.

  • The range of graphic design has expanded very widely as the digital era emerged, and many new areas of film design, including film, DVD, interactive TV, mobile and DMB, began to require the work of designers. This could be considered as an application as well as a case of digital film design as it has more developed new media environment as basis. The change in the expression techniques of film language is inevitable since major consumers of new media are the younger generation. The method of creating and distributing visual communication work is not standing still anymore. It has been diversified through dynamic movements and changes resulting from interaction. The major objective of this study is to find out and suggest the directions that film and digital media graduate school education of future by researching and analyzing how the nature of design, as an academic subject that keeps on changing and developing, is evolving in the new media environment. For this purpose, the methods of appropriate education system in higher design education, which are derived from case studies and previous studies on education system, are evaluated by examining the consumers. This study aims at finding the most effective training method in film and digital media design, and by integrating current design education with digital film design education establish a better fit education system that complies with the demands of today's society. It will suggest how an educational institute should see ahead of the time and provide what the society will demand in the future.

모바일 컨텐츠 공급파트너와 서비스 제공업체의 관계에 대한 연구 -전략적 성과에 영향을 미치는 관계특성을 중심으로-

  • 소비자의 욕구변화와 정보기술의 발전으로 정보경제시대, 신경제시대가 도래함에 따라 가치사슬이 변화하고, 새로운 가치를 창출하는 신산업이 등장하고 있다. 인터넷의 확산과 더불어 선으로부터의 자유, 개인성, 즉시성이 가능한 모바일 비즈니스가 우리나라에서도 태동하고 있다. 모바일 비즈니스는 금융업체, 정보제공업체, 통신망 운용업체, 최종이용자간의 새로운 가치의 결합이 특징이며, 막 흐름이 만들어지고 발전되고 있는 상황이다. 이와 같이 다양한 이해관계자가개입하고 있어 협력이 특히 강조되고 또 요구되고 있다. 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고 이들간의 관계에 대한 연구가 미흡한 편이다. 따라서 본 연구는 모바일 비즈니스를 주도하고 있는 통신망 제공업체와 모바일 컨텐츠 공급 파트너간의 조직간 협력관계에 대한 실증 연구를 수행하였다. 관계마케팅, 거래비용, 자원기반관점, 네트워크 이론 등 기업간 관계를 기술, 설명, 예측하는 주요이론에서 논의되고 있는 개념을 바탕으로 본 연구는 컨텐츠 공급파트너의 전략적 성과에 영향을 주는 연구 모형을 제시한다. 최근 중요성이 더 강조되고 있는 항목은 신뢰와 결속임을 감안하여, 매개변수로써 전략적 성과에 영향을 주는 주요한 요소로 신뢰와 결속을 제시하고 있다. 컨텐츠 제공업체의 전략적 성과는 서비스제공업체에 대한 신뢰와 결속에 큰 영향을 받고있다는 점을 반영하고 있다. 한편 신뢰에 영향을 주는 독립변수로는 서비스 제공업체에 대한 평판, 서비스제공업체와 컨텐츠 제공 파트너간의 상호의사소통, 그리고 업무처리의 절차에 대한 공정성을 제시하고 있다 결속에 영향을 미치는 독립변수로는 동의된 목표, 업무정보교류, 거래특유자산의 3개의 변수를 선정하였다. 독립, 매개, 종속변수간의 9개의 연구 가설을 수립하였다. 국내의 주도적인 이동통신망소유업체에 모바일 컨텐츠를 공급하고 있는 170여개의 파트너를 대상으로 실증연구를 수행했다. 공변량 구조분석을 위주로 분석한 연구의 결과에 의하면 본 연구의 모델은 충분한 적합성을 보여주고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 가설의 상당수가 채택이 되었다. 그러나 모바일 비즈니스의 기업간관계의 실제측면을 나타내는 업무정보교류와 결속자의 관계의 유의하지 않게 나와 기각되었다. 기각에 대한 여러 가지의 해석이 가능하지만 측정의 신뢰성을 확보해야 하고 개념의 타당성을 더 엄격하게 준수할 필요성이 제기되었다. 본 연구는 조직이론에 근거한 변수를 채택하고 있으나 모바일 비즈니스의 생명주기특성상 태동기이기 때문에 기업간 관계를 연구하는 측면에서는 탐험적 연구성격이 강하다. 더 나아가 본 산업의 주된 연구가 질적이고 기업내부만을 연구했던 것에 비교하면 시초적이라고 할 수 있다. 또한 관계마케팅, CRM 등의 이론적 배경이 되고 있는 신뢰와 결속의 중요성이 재확인하는 결과도 의의라고 할 수 있다. 그리고 신뢰는 양사 간의 상호관계에서 조성될 수 있는 특성을 가진 반면, 결속은 계약관계 초기단계에서 성문화하고 규정화 할 수 있는 변수의 성격이 강하다고 할 수가 있다. 본 연구는 복잡한 기업간 관계를 지나치게 협력적 측면에서만 규명했기 때문에 많은 측면을 간과할 가능성이 있다. 또한 방법론적으로 일방향의 시각만을 고려했고, 횡단적 조사를 통하고 국내의 한 서비스제공업체와 관련이 있는 컨텐츠 공급파트너만의 시각을 검증했기 때문에 해석에서 유의할 필요가 있다. 또한 타당성확보 노력을 기하였지만 측정도구 면에서 엄격한 개발과정을 준수하지는 못했다. 향후에는 모바일 컨텐츠 파트너의 기업의 특성을 조사하여 관계성 변수와의 상호관련연구를 진행할 필요가 있다. 관계기간, 의존성, 거래처의 단/복수여부, 서비스 범주 등의 제반 변수를 고려하여 이러한 변수가 양사와의 관계성 변수에 어떤 영향이 있는가를 검증할 필요가 있다. 또한 신뢰, 결속 등 다차원의 개념에 대한 심도 깊은 연구와 최근 제기되고 있는 이론의 확대도 필요하다. 마지막으로 신뢰와 결속에 영향을 미치는 요소간의 개념적 분류, 차이의 검증, 영향력 등을 광범위하게 진행시킬 필요가 있다.

Influence of Foraging Behaviors of Shorebirds on Habitat use in Rice Fields During Spring Migration (봄철 논습지에 도래하는 도요물떼새류의 취식 행동에 따른 서식지 이용 특성 연구)

  • BACKGROUND: The coexisting shorebirds often use various foraging strategies, including feeding methods and habitat use, which are the likely mechanisms to explain the variation of morphological and behavior traits. We studied the foraging behaviors of four shorebirds to define how species separate according to habitat structures in rice fields of western-central Korea during their northward migration. METHODS AND RESULTS: The studied species were Long-toed Stints (Calidris subminuta), Wood Sandpipers (Tringa glareola), Common Greenshanks (Tringa nebularia), and Black-tailed Godwits (Limosa limosa), which were commonly observed in rice fields and represented by a wide range of morphological traits. Habitats were categorized into three types ("plowed with water", "shallow water level after harrowing", and "deep water level after harrowing") according to the irrigation intensity and soil manipulation of the farming practices. Long-toed Stints mainly foraged in the "plowed with water", where they used both visual and tactile searching methods. Wood Sandpipers and Common Greenshanks were frequently observed in "shallow water level after harrowing" They spent a considerable amount of time using a visual searching method. Black-tailed Godwits were selectively attracted to "deep water level after harrowing" and used tactile cues as their predominant feeding technique. CONCLUSION: This study demonstrates that the water levels related in soil manipulation and irrigation intensity influence the accessibility to foraging sites and the detectability of prey for shorebirds species.

A Research Analysis of QR code based on big data in Korea

  • Recently, Information and Communication Technology and SMART Phone Technology have been rapidly developed. According to the increase of data use, the era of big data has come. With the approach of non-contact society, QR Codes are becoming inseparable in our lives. In this paper, we are trying to figure out the implications of QR Code research based on Big Data in Korea. The purpose of this study is to first examine the previous studies on "QR Code" and conduct an analysis on keywords by field using Big Data. Second, for data visualization WordCloud analysis and network analysis are performed on "QR Code" frequent keyword. Third, we would like to present the research direction to future researchers regarding "QR Code". In the results, First of all, research trends showed that research is on the rise and that various fields are being utilized. Second, the results of the analysis of frequent keyword resulted in similar results overall, with some differences depending on the field and year. Third, we found that the visualization results according to the frequent keyword were also analyzed in the same way as the frequent keyword analysis results. The practical implications of the theoretical findings are as follows. First, 'QR Code' needs to be studied as a means of information delivery, not as a technical aspect. Second, it can be seen that "QR Code" is developing reflecting social trends or issues. With both theoretical and practical implications, we are trying to provide the strategic ways of QR-code in future.

  • In the face of revolutionary changes in industry, the relationship between labor and income needs to be reconceptualized in the period of social revolution. The absolute decrease in labor due to the absence of labor is caused by automation, smartization, AI, robot labor, etc., which we must accept whether we want to or not. However, while gross social product and capital of the state or society increase, individual income is likely to decrease. During this transformation period, the state or politics must prepare for the problems caused by the decline in individual income. Until now, there have been various levels of discussion on social welfare or social security from the perspective of welfare or assistance. Attempts or studies at the experimental level have been conducted at the level of many countries or local governments and have found positive and negative effects. There is no basic income system that is widely implemented at the national level, and various discussions are taking place from a future-oriented perspective. Therefore, I propose to look at it from a new perspective based on the perspective so far. We explored that it is part of a positive approach to examine the importance and necessity of basic income in terms of working hours, quality of labor, income, quality of life, value of spare time, and work-life balance. The goal is to actively accept the absolute lack of working hours, replacement of mechanical labor, and polarization due to changes in the industry paradigm, and to look at the problems that come from a positive perspective. If we are going to accept it anyway, we should not look at these issues as short-sighted, but prepare them preemptively and establish a primitive plan from a long-term and overall perspective. Smartphones have changed the world over the past decade and have been lost, but wouldn't there be a lot of new discoveries? Shouldn't we think of it as a great opportunity to improve the quality of life through technological changes?

The Intercommunication Process of Interactive Media Art and Merleau-Ponty's corporeity phenomenology (인터랙티브 미디어 아트의 상호작용 과정과 메를로 퐁티의 몸 현상학)

  • Interactive Media Art has been developed a lot in digital age. Especially, the audience try to make interactions by accessing the world of art as one of main interacting figures, while they used to be totally separated from the art in traditional art. Also, it is one of exclusive features distinguished from the other art genres. In this thesis, the intercommunication process of interactive media art is classified and compared with Merleau-Ponty's corporeity phenomenology theories. Merleau-Ponty's corporeity phenomenology insists integrated perception through body against the western intelligence philosophy focusing on binomial reasons. Merleau-Ponty's corporeity phenomenology, which suggested the new perception way towards the art, is analyzed in this thesis by comparing it with detailed factors of Intercommunication process of Interactive Media Art. The Intercommunication process of Media Art is classified into , , , , . Additionally, they are studied and compared with the concept of , , , , out of Ponty's corporeity phenomenology theories. Therefore, it is concluded clearly that corporeity, synesthesia, poly sensation and spaciality drawn from Intercommunication process of Media Art have something in common with Ponty's corporeity phenomenology theories rather than the other art genre or minimalism art styles. Furthermore, a new direction of study upon modern Interactive Media Art is suggested.
