함정에 수직자화를 부여하기 위한 탈자 (Demagnetization to Induce Vertical Magnetization in a Military Vessel)

  • 소자장치가 없는 함정의 경우 탈자 시에 지구자계와 반대방향으로 수직자화를 부여하여 수중에서 수직방향의 자계가 발생하지 않도록 한다. 탈자 시에 수직자화를 부여하는 탈자방법으로는 Flash D가 있어나 수직자화의 예측이 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 Flash D와는 달리 바이어스 자계를 인가하여 수직방향으로 자화를 형성하는 것에 대해 검토하였다. 이용된 시편은 두께 0.15mm의 아연도금 강판을 이용하여 함정의 선수에서 선미까지의 형상을 고려하여 원형, 삼각, 사각형의 형태를 가진다. FEM해석을 통해 시편형상에 따른 자계신호의 차이를 구하였고 인가자계에 의한 잔류자화특성곡선을 실험을 통해 구하였다. 바이어스자계를 수평 및 수직으로 각각 인가하여 잔류자화에 의한 자계신호를 측정하였다. 시편에 인가하는 자계는 파형발생기를 이용하여 솔레노이드 코일에 전류를 흘려 발생시켰으며 수직바이어스자계는 솔레노이드 코일 아래에 사각 코일을 설치하여 발생시켰다. 신호측정은 자계센서를 이용하였다. 이 실험을 통해 수직 및 수평 바이어스 자계는 시편에 수직 및 수평자화를 각각 형성시켰으며 수직자화는 수직바이어스 자계와 선형적인 관계를 가져 함정에 형성되는 수직자화를 예측할 수 있음을 알았다.

  • 에코 데크 플레이트 시스템은 철선일체형 거더와 아연도금 강판을 볼트에 의해 일체화시키기 때문에 기존에 용접에 의해 제작된 철선일체형 데크 플레이트에 비해 친환경 및 우수한 공법으로 인정받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 에코 데크 플레이트의 구조적 거동을 평가하기 위해 12가지 형태의 시험체를 동일한 조건으로 2개씩 총 24개의 시험체를 실물크기로 제작하여 실험적 연구를 수행한다. 실험결과 시공하중 작용에 대한 허용 처짐은 설계값 이내의 값을 나타내 만족하는 것으로 나타났으며, 래티스 철선의 가공은 아래로 향하게 절단해 제작하는 것이 구조적으로 유리한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 하부철선으로 D13을 사용한 시험체의 경우에는 하부철선과 래티스 철선의 용접부위에서 파괴가 발생해 공장 제작 시 용접에 대한 개선안의 마련이 필요하다.

두께 180mm 슬래브에 적용 가능한 철선일체형 데크 플레이트 개발 (Development of Steel Wire-Integrated Deck Plate Applicable to Slab with 180mm Thickness)

  • 일체형 삼각 트러스 형태의 철선을 아연도금 강판에 용접한 철선일체형 데크 플레이트는 슬래브 시공 시 현장시공 최소 및 동바리와 지보공 등 거푸집 공사비 절감을 목적으로 개발되어 이미 많은 현장에 적용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 180mm 두께 슬래브에 적용 가능한 철선일체형 데크 플레이트 시스템을 개발하기 위해 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 상부철선, 하부철선, 래티스 철선, 경간, 단부가공방법을 변수로 채택하여 총 14개의 시험체를 실물크기로 제작하여 실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과 시험체의 최종 파괴형태 변화 및 단부가공방법이 시험체의 구조 성능에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났으며, 하부철선의 영향보다는 래티스 철선이 시험체의 거동에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Formation of the weld defect, such as a blowhole and a pit in lap-jointed fillet arc welds has been a serious problem in arc welding of Zn-coated steel sheet. In this study, the relationship among welding conditions, welding materials and defect formation was investigated in order to minimize these defects in the CO₂ welds. In addition, the arc stability of the commercial welding wires was evaluated for revealing their effects on defect formation. Main conclusions obtained are as follows:1) There was no difference between shear tensile strength of the sound welds and that of the welds with blowholes whose diameters are less than 0.5mm. However, the welds with blowholes whose diameters are equal or larger than 0.5mm and pits exhibited tensile strength 10~20% and 30~40% lower than that of the sound welds respectively.2) The optimum welding condition to effectively prevent or reduce the weld defects formation are as follows:- The welding variables of 220A-23V-100cm/min and 120A-190V-30cm/min were recommended for minimizing the weld defects.- The gap between the two sheets at the lap-joint should be controlled to more than 0.2mm- Solid wire was less susceptible to the formation of the weld defects than the flux-cored wire.- The low welding current condition produced less weld defects than the hihg welding current condition.3) One of the reason why the amount of the defect was reduced at the low welding current was the gas discharging by the active agitation of the molten pool, due to an increasing in the number of the short circuit. 저항 점 용접을 이용한 AISI 316 스테인레스강과 용융아연도금 강판의 이종접합 (Resistance Spot Welding of Dissimilar Materials of Austenitic Stainless Steels and IF (Interstitial Free) Steels)

  • The spot weldability of dissimilar metal joints between stainless steels (AISI316) and interstitial free (IF) steels were investigated. This study was aimed to determine the spot welding parameters for a dissimilar metal joint and to evaluate the dissimilar metal joint's weldability, including its welding nugget shape, tensileshear strength, hardness, and microstructure. The fracture surface was investigated by using a Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The experimental results showed that the shape of nugget was asymmetric, in which the fusion zone of the STS316 sheet was larger due to the higher bulk-resistance. The microstructure of the fusion zone was fully martensite. In order to evaluate the microstructure further, dilution of stainless steels were calculated and imposed onto the Schaeffler diagram. The predicted microstructure from the Schaeffler diagram was martensite. In order to confirm the predicted microstructure, XRD measurements were carried out. The results showed that that initial weld nugget was composed of austenite and martensite.

계장화 압입시험법을 이용한 점용접부의 경도평가 (Hardness Evaluation of Spot Welding Using Instrumented Indentation Technique)

  • 본 논문에서는 품질 검사 방법론이 적용된 계장화 압입시험을 수행하여 점용접부의 경도를 평가하였다. 먼저 정상 및 불량 용접조건하에서 제작된 점용접 샘플에 대해 로크웰 경도 및 계장화 압입시험을 실시하였다. 계장화 압입시험을 통해 구한 압입하중-변위선도를 이용하여 계산된 경도를, 동일한 조건의 동일위치에 대한 압입경도시험을 통하여 측정된 로크웰 경도와 확률론적 방법론을 이용하여 비교평가 하였다. 또한 계장화 압입시험을 통하여 추정한 경도 및 이에 대한 확률론적 해석을 수행하여 점용접부의 신뢰성 기반 품질 관리 기준 설정 가능성을 평가하였다.

용융알루미늄 도금 강판 상에 스퍼터링법으로 형성된 마그네슘 코팅막에 의한 내식성 향상 (Improvement of Corrosion Resistance by Mg Films Deposited on Hot Dip Aluminized Steel using a Sputtering Method)

  • In this study, Mg films were prepared on hot dip aluminized steel (HDA) by using a sputtering method as a high corrosion resistance coating. The corrosion resistance of the Mg films was improved by controlling the morphology and the crystal structure of films by adjusting the Ar gas pressure during the coating process. Anodic polarization measurement results confirm that the corrosion resistance of the Mg films was affected by surface morphology and crystal structure. The corrosion resistance of the Mg coated HDA specimen increased with decreasing crystal size of the Mg coating and it was also improved by forming a film with denser morphology. The crystal structure oriented at Mg(101) plane showed the best corrosion resistance among crystal planes of the Mg metals, which is attributed to its relatively low surface energy. Neutral salt spray test confirmed that corrosion resistance of HDA can be greatly improved by Mg coating, which is superior to that of HDG (hot dip galvanized steel). The reason for the improvement of the corrosion resistance of Mg films on hot dip aluminized steel was due to the barrier effect by the Mg corrosion products formed by the corrosion of the Mg coating layer.

알루미늄 합금과 아연도금강판의 이종 겹치기 마찰교반접합에서 기계적성질에 미치는 Tool Geometry의 영향 (The Effect of Tool Geometry on the Mechanical Properties in a Friction Stir Welded Lap Joint between an Al Alloy and Zn-coated Steel)

  • The specific motivation for joining an Al alloy and Zn-coated steel arises from the need to save fuel consumption by weight reduction and to enhance the durability of vehicle structures in the automobile industry. In this study, the lap joining A6K31 Al alloy (top) and SGARC340 Zn-coated steel (bottom) sheets with a thickness of 1.0 mm and 0.8 mm, respectively, was carried out using the friction stir weld (FSW) technique. The probe of a tool did not contact the surface of the lower Zn-coated steel sheet. The friction stir welding was carried out at rotation speeds of 1500 rpm and travel speeds of 80~200 mm/min. The effects of tool geometry and welding speed on the mechanical properties and the structure of a joint were investigated. The tensile properties for the joints welded with a larger tool were better than those for the joints done with a smaller tool. A good correlation between the tensile load and area of the welded region were observed. The bond strength using a larger tool (M4 and M3) decreased with an increase in welding speed. Most fractures occurred along the interface between the Zn-coated steel and the Al alloy. However, in certain conditions with a lower welding speed, fractures occurred at the A6K31 Al alloy.

IF 고강도 합금화 용융아연도금강판의 표면품질에 미치는 합금원소의 영향 (Effect of Alloy Elements on Galvannealed Coating Quality in IF High Strength Steels)

  • The effect of the alloy elements(Si/Mn) ratio on the coating quality including wettabilty with molten zinc, galvannealing kinetics and crater has been investigated in interstitial-free high strength steel(IFHSS) containing Si and Mn. When the Si/Mn ratio was below 0.75, IF-HSS exhibited a good wettability leading to a good galvannealed coating quality after annealing at $800^{\circ}C$ for 40s in $15%H_2-N_2$ mixed gas with dew point $-60^{\circ}C$. In contrast, the wettability and galvannealed coating quality were deteriorated in the Si/ Mn ratio above 0.75. It is shown that they have relevance to oxides forms by selective oxidation on the steel surface. The oxide particles dispersed on the steel surface with a surface coverage of below 40% resulted in good wettability and galvannealed coating quality. The oxide particle is mainly consisted of $Mn_2SiO_4$ with low contact angle in molten zinc. On the other hand, the continuous oxide layer on the steel surface, such as network- and film-type,caused to poor wettability and galvannealed coating quality. The coverage of oxide layer was above 80%, and its chemical species was $SiO_2$ with high contact angle in molten zinc. Consequently, the Si/Mn alloy ratio played an importance role in galvannealed coating quality of IF-HSS.
