Video Usage in Early Childhood Programs (유아교육기관에서의 비디오 매체 활용)

  • This study was carried out to analyze video usage in early childhood programs. Two-hundred-ninety-four teachers in half-day and all-day early childhood programs responded to a questionnaire developed by a researcher. Descriptive analysis and chi-square tests were used to answer research questions. The findings were as follows: ① 78% of the programs had at least one video equipment and half of the programs had a video equipment in each classroom. ② Video usage in early childhood programs were differed by leacher’s age, career level, educational level, and type of early childhood programs as well as type of class management.

  • Korean population patters has become so called aged society by this July through the aged composed over 7% in whole population. It is worldly concern how can increase elderly people’s life satisfaction by providing homelike elderly housing facilities. The purpose of this study was to investigate the meaning of home, how to express the homelike characteristics into physical design and identify their housing satisfaction. The results were discussed and design ideas were suggested.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore 6 preservice teachers's perceptions and practices on children and teaching while they implemented the Project Approach. Using qualitative research, data were collected from individual and group reflections, interviews, classroom observations, and videotaping. Results showed that preservice teachers recognized the importance of observing children in context and the meaning of learning through the Project Approach. Preservice teachers developed their identities through reflective thinking on their theories and practices.

  • The purpose of this study is to search 1) Favorite color preference for clothing 2) Concept development for respective color preference concerned with sex, and 3) concept development for clothing clolr and clothing design. The results are as follows. 1. Liked-color preference for clothing color; female children liked pink, and male children liked blue. 2. Disliked-color preference for colthing female children and male children disliked black color. 3. Boyish color; White, Green, Blue, Black. 4. Girlish color; Yellow red, Pink, Red, Pruple, Yellow. 5. Concept development for clothing color and clothing design; Children aknowledged more the colthing color than the colthing design.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the present conditions and the residents' satisfaction with the storage spaed and furniture in apartment smaller than 40 pyoun(132㎡). The following were investigated; 1. the rate of residents using beds and their future desire for using beds. 2. the rate of households that have built-in furniture, and residents' desire for having them. 3. types of storage furniture more needed. 4. residents' level of satisfactio with the present storage space. 5. the depths of wardrobes and the heights of racks inside wardrobes. 6. storing conditions of articles seasonal or seldom used.

  • French Revolution, while re-establishing the political and social structure, had also changed the cultural conditions of French life and manners. clothing, as with other features of daily life, had some characteristic changes, which this article tried to specify and related with the social conditions. Those specific changes pointed out as typical and discussed herewith are: 1. Clothing manipulated as a political identity kit. 2. Simplification of colors and forms of men's costume. 3. Tendency toward uniformity. 4. Clothing as the symbol of political utopia. 5. The attraction of military uniform. 6. Moral decadence.

Studies on the aroma components of commercial instant coffee (시판 Instant coffee 중의 향기성분에 관한 연구)

  • It these experiments, five kinds of Korean made coffee and three kind of foreign made coffee were analysed using gas chromatography after steam distillation. The results were as following: 1. In general the sample contained light aroma(carbohydrate derivatives), medium aroma(purin derivatives) and heavy aroma(furan dervatives). 2. More light aroma and medium aroma were found in freezing dried coffee than in spraying dried coffee. 3. Korean sample contained lignter aroma than that of foreign ones.

  • The content of sugar in human milk was almost twice as much as that in cow's milk. The content of ash in cow's milk was twice as much as that in human milk. Cow's milk had a greater proportion of sodium than human milk. the ratio of P/Ca in human milk was as much lower than that in cow's milk. Cow's milk had more Cu than human milk.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the importance of mental capacity and to see whether it can be a barometer to predict childrne's cognitive development. The instruments used were Pictoral Test of Intelligence to select homogeneous samples, Cucui Scale for their M-power and Conservation Test. The results showed that M-power develops as age increases, and it can be a strong variable to predict their cognitive development. It has been demonstrated that capacity increases developmentally but whether this reflects changes in capacity perse, or in the efficient use of that capacity is a debatable issue. More study needs to be repeated for this matter.

Comparative studies on the fatty acids in the green and roasted coffee beans (커피의 원두와 배전두의 지방산조성에 관한 비교연구)

  • To investigate differences in fatty acid composition in green coffee beans and roasted coffee beans, the extracts of two beans were subjected to analysis of fatty acid composition by GC and HPLC. The results showed that palmitic and liolneic acid were the main fatty acids of coffee oil and their contents were about 40%. Minor components, such as capric acid, lauric acid and myristic acid were detected in both samples by GC, but nut HPLC.
