  • Living culture emphasizes cultural activities in daily life based on local characteristics, and aims to integrate art with daily life to communicate with others through activities of local residents. In this process, the values that individuals and society should have, are evoked and restored. In order to understand the context and processes in which the values of the living culture are expressed as local culture, we analyzed the case of 'Gosaek Nongak(community band music, dance and rituals in Korea) conservation association' in Suwon area and tried to diagnose how art and daily life are integrated and restoring community life in the actual field. For this purpose, phenomenological research was conducted through literature review participatory observation, and in-depth interviews to categorize the social impacts of living culture activities and public support due to individual, community, and local influences. We found that public support for living culture led to increased artistic development and human interaction in the community, and that individuals who are thus empowered to seek artistic experience and actively interact with other people, emerge as vital subjects and practitioners of culture and arts in their local community. Furthermore, we found that the activities of living culture facilitated the formation of local identity for members and local residents. Through living culture activities, members and local residents became more aware of being members of the community and found value and meaning in participating in daily life and cultural activities.

  • The objective of this study is to verify the moderated mediating effects according to the severity level of a disability as well as the mediating effects of job security in the relationship between difficulties in the workplace of the disabled wage workers caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and their life satisfaction. As a result of analysis using SPSS ver. 25 and PROCESS macro, the difficulties within the workplace caused by the COVID-19 pandemic had a negative influence on life satisfaction through the job security of the disabled wage worker. In other words, it was revealed that the level of difficulties being faced by the disabled wage workers, which were caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, hinders their life satisfaction through job security. In addition, no moderating effect according to the severity level of disability was identified in the relationship between these variables. This is translated that difficulties in the workplace caused by the COVID-19 pandemic reduce job security and life satisfaction of the disabled wage workers regardless of the severity level of the disability. Based on the results thus far, this study further discussed the institutional implications for promoting the job security and life satisfaction of the disabled wage workers under the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the necessity of providing new perspectives by conveying the various psychological changes and realities experienced by victims of incest sexual violence after the incident, And it is meaningful to understand and record it through. The results of the analysis through the phenomenological methodology are as follows: First, participants were disturbed by the emotional neglect of their parents and forced violence, threats, and silence by their family members, resulting in disbelief in interpersonal relationships and low self-esteem and suffered constant difficulties in daily life. Second, the suffering and aftereffects of sexual violence experienced the conflict of roles by repeating the real maladjustment and social activity avoidance as the fear of being informed about the event, the negative thought about oneself, and the difficulty of interpersonal relationship. Third, the aftereffects of incest sexual violence in childhood·adolescence were found to be extreme with regard to PTSD. The PTSD experience has become a factor that forces participants to rely on substances, such as psychiatric medications and alcohol, and further avoids external activities with hallucinations and delusions. Fourth, the change through the adaptation process is a new perspective on life, facing and separating the events. During the adaptation program, they tried to express their words and feelings that they could not express because of the past hurts, to set goals for living their life, and to move forward. The experience of overcoming reality has enhanced participants' confidence in self-esteem, self-efficacy, and healthy self-control ability. In this study, it is meaningful to suggest a model in which the incest sexual violence trauma is reexperienced through the new daily crisis and the new adaptation process is repeated for each process.

The corona pandemic not only caused physical damages but also psychological one which is a collective social stress phenomenon often termed as 'corona blue'. The purpose of this study is to examine how empathy affects anxiety and depression through risk perception and indirect trauma, which are psychological variables related to the corona pandemic as a disaster. The survey data from 214 people were analyzed with a structural equation modelling. The results shows that 53.3 % of the participants experienced anxiety and 35.7% suffered from depression, which were about 6 times higher than ones from the 2019 government data. Affective empathy had a significant effect on risk perception, and cognitive empathy had a significant effect on indirect trauma. Risk perception and indirect trauma both had a significant effect on anxiety, and anxiety had a significant impact on depression. Only cognitive empathy had a significant indirect effect on anxiety and depression. This study provides an important insight into understanding a social phenomenon of 'corona blue' from a empathic perspective.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the experience and meaning of discrimination among Korean-Chinese part-time job international students. To this end, after in-depth interviews with nine Korean-Chinese part-time job international students from May to June 2022, the data were analyzed using Colaizzi's phenomenological research method. The findings were as follows: New challenges for living expenses and efficient adaptation, this road full of thorns, efforts to adapt beyond discrimination, growth and relationships through part-time jobs turned out to be opportunities. This experience became a process for Korean-Chinese part-time international students to grow further as well as solve economic problems. However, they are subject to multiple discrimination due to their dual status as international students and ethnic Korean-Chinese. Their Korean identity gives a more directed differential experience in the process of working part-time. But in the process, they are still overcoming difficulties. Korean-Chinese international students are growing up by accepting discrimination experiences and adapting to their international life. As a result of the above research, we need education and help to guarantee working human rights for Korean-Chinese part-time students with the development of a multicultural society in the future.

China and Korea are very similar in terms of cultural background, living habits, and population structure. Therefore, the successful experience of Korean long-term care insurance has great implications for Qingdao even China to build a long-term care insurance system. Through the literature review, this article compares the long-term care insurance policy implemented by Qingdao City and Korea in Gilbert & Terrell's social welfare policy analysis framework. • The purpose of the current study was to examine the effect of psychological factors on caregiver burden and depression among Korean spousal caregivers. 142 spousal caregivers (89 wives, 52 husbands) in Seoul and Incheon City were surveyed to determine the influence of objective factors of the care recipient, demographic of the caregiver, personality dimensions of extroversion and neuroticism of caregiver, social support, and pre-caregiving marital satisfaction on caregiver burden and depression of spousal caregivers. Hierarchical regression was used to determine the influence of the various factors on caregiver burden and depression. Finding suggest that care recipient's activities of daily living(ADL) and caregiver neuroticism predicted caregiver burden, whereas pre-caregiving martial satisfaction and caregiver neuroticism predicted depression. In particular, psychological factors were better predictors of caregiver burden and depression compared with objective factors. Based on the results, the implications, interventions, limitations and future directions for research were discussed about the psychological factors on spousal caregiving.
