The average score of self-directed learning was 3.32±0.39, academic achievement 3.32±0.75, and learning satisfaction was 3.31±0.78. Factors affecting online learning satisfaction were found to be preferred learning methods and academic achievement. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to design instruction and operate classes to improve online learning satisfaction by evaluating the learner's learning method in advance when running nursing school subjects as online lectures for nursing students.

The data of this study was collected from 143 students at a nursing college in Seoul, through a Google online questionnaire from September 1, 2023 to September 25, 2023, and descriptive statistics, Student's t-test, analysis of variance, Pearson's Correlation, and linear multiple regression were conducted using SPSS Statistics 25.0. Following an analysis of the difference according to general characteristics, academic stress showed significant difference according to Motivation for applying to department(F=4.465, p=.005) and Major satisfaction(F=36.499, p=.000) of the subjects. The result of analyzing the correlation academic stress was negatively correlated with learning flow (r=-.464, p<.010), academic self-efficacy (r=-.522, p<.010), and academic achievement (r=-.379, p<.010), but learning satisfaction was not correlated with academic stress. Variables affecting academic stress were major satisfaction (𝛽=.367, p<.01), learning flow (𝛽=-.186, p<.05), and academic self-efficacy (𝛽=-.241, p<.05), and the explanatory power for academic stress was 40%. The results of this study can be used as basic data for intervention programs for relieving academic stress of nursing students.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of nursing process education based on flipped learning on self-directed learning ability and academic achievement of nursing students. A quasi-experimental study employing a nonequivalent control group and pre-post design was conducted. The study group was composed of 135 college students enrolled in the 2nd grade of C nursing college as an experimental group and 103 college students enrolled in the 2nd grade of the D university nursing department as a control group. The experimental group participated in flipped learning with the theme of nursing process once a week for 5 weeks, and the control group applied the traditional teaching method. Data were analyzed using χ2-test and Independent t-test with SPSS 26.0 program. There were significant differences in self-directed learning ability(t=-4.71, p<.001) and academic achievement(t=-4.93, p<.001) of participants between experimental group and control group after completion of 5 sessions flipped learning. The results indicate that flipped learning can be used to improve self-directed learning ability and academic achievement of nursing students. As a result of this study, the basis for using flipped learning will be prepared, and furthermore, it will have a positive effect on the clinical practice and problem solving ability of nursing students.
This study examines the learning styles of freshmen enrolled in a college of science and engineering, and analyses the relationship between learning styles and academic achievement in mathematics to provide basic data for the teaching-learning methods, which are more suitable to learning styles of students. For the purpose of this research, a reliability analysis of Kolb's LSI is applied to 282 freshmen enrolled in a college of science and engineering of the medium-sized university. The outcomes of this survey are followings. Firstly, students hold higher positions in the order of converger, assimilator, accommodator, diverger among 4 learning styles. Secondly, while there is a positive corelation between abstract conceptualization[AC] and academic achievement, there is a negative corelation between concrete experience[CE] and academic achievement. Thirdly, as for academic achievement in mathematics, converger is superior to assimilator and accommodator. Finally, the correlation between learning styles and academic achievement is different by demographic characteristics. Based on these results, this study suggests the necessity for various teaching-learning strategies, which are adjusted to both academic characteristics of mathematics and learning styles. Also, the need for teaching methods, which help students to develop effectively four learning cycles, is proposed.
Achievement at university is recognized in a comprehensive sense as the level of qualitative change and development that students have embodied as a result of their experience in university education. Therefore, the academic achievement of university students will be given meaning in cooperation with the historical and social demands for diverse human resources such as creativity, leadership, and global ability, but it is practically an indicator of the outcome of university education. Measurement of academic achievement by such credits involves many problems, but in particular, standardization of academic achievement by credits based on evaluation methods, contents, and university rankings is a very difficult problem. In this study, we present a model that uses machine learning techniques to predict whether or not academic achievement is excellent for D-University graduates. The variables used were analyzed using up to 96 personal information and bachelor's information such as graduation year, department number, department name, etc., but when establishing a future education course, only the data after enrollment works effectively. Therefore, the items to be analyzed are limited to the recommended ability to improve the academic achievement of the department/student. In this research, we implemented an academic achievement prediction model through analysis of core abilities that reflect the philosophy, goals, human resources image, and utilized machine learning to affect the impact of the introduction of the prediction model on academic achievement. We plan to apply the results of future research to the establishment of curriculum and student guidance conducted in the department to establish a basis for improving academic achievement.
