A FPGA Implementation of Digital Protective Relays for Electrical Power Installation (전력설비를 위한 디지털보호계전기의 FPGA 구현)

  • Protective relays provide important features to electrical power systems for protecting against faults and consequent short circuits. This research presents a novel VLSI design of the digital protective relay, which overcomes today's uP/DSP-based relays. This design features good cancellation of DC/k-th harmonic components, noticeable not performance and flexible Protection behavior in the minimized core area The proposed design was successfully implemented by a FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) device and can concurrently process over 16KSPS at less $0.03[\%]$ error rate.

  • 한국상품문화디자인학회는 지난 달 25일 제16회 베스트패키지디자인 수상작들을 선정, 시상식을 열었다. 학회가 주최해 온 베스트패키지디자인어워드코리아는 1995년 기업의 경쟁력을 디자인에서 찾아야 한다는 기치 아래 태동했으며, 올해 16회를 맞은 행사로, 기업과 현직 디자이너들에게 경쟁력 있는 디자인 개발의 동기를 부여함은 물론 우리 상품이 세계화로 발돋움되어 국제 경쟁력을 갖추는데 기여하고 올바른 상품 문화를 진작 시키는 데 이바지하고 있다. 패키지디자인의 지속적인 연구와 학술활동을 통해서 후학양성과 상품문화 진작을 위해 창립된 한국상품 문화디자인학회는 베스트패키지디자인어워드코리아 제정으로 사회적 책무를 더하고자 노력하고 있으며 시상부문은 대상을 비롯하여 베스트패키지상에 그래픽부문, 유통부문, 용기부문, 구조부문 등이다. 특히 이번부터 브랜드부문을 확대 신설하여 시상하고 있다. 시상 기준은 최근 2년 동안 국내 시장에서 유통되고 있는 창의력이 우수한 상품, 환경친화성 상품, 자원절약과 재활용 상품, 미풍양속을 해치지 않는 건전한 실험상품 등으로 학회원의 추천과 심의에 의해 선정된다. 학회 회원 또는 공동 주최 측으로부터의 추천된 상품을 "어워드선정위원회"가 1차 심의를 통해 심의하여 총회에 상정하고, 상정된 후보 상품을 2차에 걸친 투표로 선정하는 방법이다. 제16회 베스트패키지디자인 시상식에서는 대상에 영농조합법인 이도의 '이도발효차'가 수상했으며 유통부문 베스트패키지상으로 보해양조(주)의 '매취순10', 그래픽부문 베스트패키지상에 청정제주녹차산학연협력단의 '예스그린'이 수상의 영예를 안았다. 이 외에 구조부문 베스트패키지상 부문에 (주)지비앤소울의 '나노소울플래티늄'이, 브랜드 마케팅부문 최우수상에 (주)스코리아의 '스코리아'가 차지했으며 브랜드아이덴티티부문 최우수상은 원주시 농업기술센터 '그야말로-원주(元酒)'가 수상했다.

Analyses of Scientific Inquiry in Science VII (중학교 1학년 과학 교과서의 탐구 영역 분석)

  • The primary purpose of the study was to determine the appropriateness of the inquiry processes described in Science VII's written based on the 7th National Science Curriculum. It was found that the basic processes were well reflected on the textbooks analyzed for the research. However, only a few integrated processes and the inquiry activities could be seen on the same textbooks. Furthermore, a larger majority of the inquiry processes and activities were not agreed with what the tasks and titles say. Especially, the none of as many as 71 experiments were not coincided with their titles' intentions. Also suggested in the paper were the implications of the results for the science education in the Korean middle schools.

  • 제7차 교육과정에 따른 중등 과학 교과서 중 화학 영역에 사용된 비유를 분석하였다. 전체 35권의 교과서에서 비유 사용 빈도는 325회로 13쪽마다 평균 1회 사용되었고, 단 한 번만 사용된 비유가 많았다. 유형별로는 기능적 비유, 언어와 그림을 모두 사용한 비유, 추상적 목표물을 구체적 비유물로 설명한 비유, 단순 비유와 부연 비유, 교사 중심 비유, 체계성이 낮은 비유가 많았고, 일상 비유와 작위적 비유가 비슷하게 사용되었다. 교과서 본문 중에 '비유‘라는 용어를 사용한 경우는 적었으며, 제한점에 대한 언급은 거의 없었다. 제6차 교육과정에 따른 과학 교과서에 비하여 쪽 당 비유의 수는 증가하였으나, 표현 방식, 작위성, 학습자 참여성을 제외한 모든 유형에서 비슷한 경향을 나타내었다. 이 결과들에 대한 교육적 시사점을 논의하였다.

  • The mechanical hehavior of relIlforced concrete beams with steel fibers is investigated 111 the present study. An expenmental program was set up and several series of rem forced concrete beams have been tested, including two senes of singly-reinforced concrete beams and one senes of doubly-reinforced concrete beams. It was found from th, :se measurements that the crack widths lIlcrease almost llIlearly With the lIlcrease of steel stress and that the crack Widths at the same loadlJ1g stages are greatly reduced as the contents of steel fibers increase. The present study also IJ1chcates that the ductiiIty and the ultJmate resistance are remarkably enhanced due to the addition of steel fibers. A theoretical mex1e1 for the flexural analysis of fiber-reinforced concrete beam which takes into account the effects of fibers JS also proposed.

  • We have experienced a case of coronary artery bypass surgery without extracorporeal circulation through limited anterior thoracotomy. The lesion was a single vessel disease involving the take off of the left anterior descending artery(LAD) which showed tubular lesion with irregular contour and eccentric stenosis of more than 95% luminal narrowing. Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty(PTCA) seemed to have moderate success rate and moderate complication rate. A segment of left internal mammary artery(LIMA) from the second rib down to the sixth rib was harvested through the bed of resected fourth costal cartilage. Anastomosis between LIMA and LAD was performed under beating condition. The patient was extubated in the operation room and showed excellent postoperative course without complications. The coronary angiography on the postoperative 7th day revealed good patency at the anastomosis site.

  • Seokgojeon(石鼓殿) is a protective pavilion that protects stone drums made in 1902 during the Korean Empire in connection with Emperor Gojong's Mangyuksun (51'st birthday) and the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of his reign. During the Japanese colonial period, Seokgojeon was dismantled and transformed into the bell pavilion of Bakmunsa Temple, which was a memorial temple for Ito Hirobumi in 1935. In November 1945, just after liberation, Bakmunsa Temple was burned down, and the Seokgojeon Hall, which was transformed into Jonggak(鐘閣), was relocated to the Changgyeongwon(昌慶苑). Outdoor Stage in 1966, and was dismantled in 1984 due to the Changgyeonggung(昌慶宮) Palace restoration project, and only the members are currently stored. Therefore, this paper intends to use it as a basic research data to examine the style of monumental buildings during the Korean Empire through literature surveys, absence surveys, and case studies of similar buildings during the same period.

  • This study is about high strength self-leveling mortar according to the mixing ratio of polymer. The self-leveling mortar currently released in Korea maintains a compressive strength of 40 Mpa as of 28 days. In addition, the level of bonding strength and flexural strength are kept the same. However, through this study, it is confirmed how the self-leveling mortar with a compressive strength of 60Mpa as of the 28th is shown according to the amount of polymer mixed. Experimental factors were configured according to the amount of polymer mixed, and the types of experiments were to confirm compressive strength, flexural strength, adhesion strength and flow. In addition, by confirming the early strength, a study was conducted to improve the quick workability compared to the self-horizontal mortar in the market.

  • The market size of Korea's seafood industry is estimated to be about 62 trillion won ('19), of which the seafood processing industry is about 10 trillion won ('19), accounting for approximately 16% of the total market size. However, the current level of processing technology required for the development of seafood products is mainly simple primary processing, such as freezing and drying raw materials (in Jeollanam-do, which ranks first in the country in terms of seafood production, primary processors account for 86% of all seafood processors).In the future, trends in the development of processing technology for seafood will become more advanced in response to changes in domestic and international food consumption patterns. Blue food tech linked to ESG, convergence and digitalization linked to the 4th industry revolution will be further advanced in line with the national seafood industry policy direction. Through this, it is expected to establish itself as an axis of future technology management in the fisheries sector based on the large and small success stories of accumulated seafood R&D commercialization.

Immunological Synergistic Effects of Combined Treatment with Herbal Preparation (HemoHIM) and Red Ginseng Extracts (마우스세포를 이용한 홍삼추출물과 생약복합추출물의 병용 처리에 따른 면역활성 효과)

  • This present study demonstrates the immunological synergistic effects of herbal preparation (HemoHIM) and red ginseng powder granule in various immune cell models (bone marrow-derived macrophages, dendritic cells, and mouse splenocytes) from mice. Both herbal preparation and red ginseng extracts were treated to bone-marrow derived macrophages, dendritic cells, and mouse splenocytes, and there was no cytotoxicity at a dose below $200{\mu}g/mL$. Cell proliferation and cytokine [tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-${\alpha}$, interleukin (IL)-6, and IL-12] production tested in bone marrow-derived macrophages and dendritic cells significantly increased upon combined treatment. Cell surface marker (CD 80/86, MHC class I/II)-mediated immune cell activation was highly elevated by combined treatment. For cytokine production in splenocytes, combined treatment significantly increased production of Th 1 type cytokines [IL-2 and interferon (IFN)-${\gamma}$] but not Th 2 type cytokines (IL-4 and IL-10). Therefore, combined treatment with HemoHIM and red ginseng extracts is an effective method to establish powerful immunological synergy in immune cells.
