This study was designed to look into whether there is any mediated effect of psychological well-being and empowerment on the path of the negative emotions of mothers from multi-cultural families turning into the life satisfaction and tried to demonstrate empirically factors to mitigate the decline in the life satisfaction due to negative emotions of mothers from multi-cultural families. In addition, we verified the differences of psychological factors according to the characteristics of the sociology of population of mothers from multi-cultural families. For this, the survey was conducted with 400 mothers from multi-cultural families across the nation. The results are as follows. First, in case of negative emotions, there were differences among groups depending on ages, years of marriage and educational background. In case of psychological well-being and empowerment, there were differences among groups with different age, years of marriage, their own or their spouse's educational background. Second, as a result of looking into the path through which negative emotions turned into life satisfaction, there were the path effects between negative emotions and empowerment, between negative emotions and life satisfaction, and between psychological well-being and life satisfaction. This means that dealing properly with negative emotions can have positive impacts on the three dimensions of psychological well-being, empowerment, and eventually the life satisfaction. This study is meaningful in that it took psychological factors of mothers from multi-cultural families into consideration and the results can be used as useful data to come up with political measures for mothers from multi-cultural families in the future.

This study aims to identify research trends in adaptation of young children from multicultural families in order to provide insights for researchers around research topics and cultural adaptation orientation of young children from multicultural families. Subjects of this study were 41 literatures with key words of'young children from multicultural families', 'adaptation', and'life'through paper search system. This study was analysed the research themes, methods, subjects, and perspectives of cultural adaptation in adaptation researches of young children from multicultural families, 2006-2017 from peer reviewed journals with analysis frameworks. The results showed that : (a) the most common research topic continues to be about adaptation conditions of young children from multicultural families; (b) among research methods, quantitative research has most frequently used in, followed by qualitative methods, mixed methods, and literature review; (c) cultural adaptation was focused on the perspective of social-cultural adaptation, developmental importance of adaptation in early childhood and problems-based research. It implicated that further researches are need to focused on psychological adaptation and formation of classroom community beyond personal and structural adaptation in preschools.

The study was aimed to find out whether there are differences in perception toward multicultural youth's career problems according to the four stages of life cycle(adolescence, pre-marriage, family formation child rearing), and multicultural families and non-multicultural respondents. Also is was aimed to find out if there is an interactive effect on problem recognition. A nationwide survey was conducted using questionnaire on the perception of multicultural youth careers and a total of 1,338 responses were used for the final analysis. For the research purpose, a two-way MANOVA was performed. First it was found that multicultural family members had higher negative perceptions of multicultural appearances than non-multicultural family members had and the adolescents had relatively low negative perceptions of personal relationships and social life adaptation of multicultural youth. Also, as a result of examining whether there is an interaction effect on perception of career problems of multicultural adolescents between multicultural families and their life cycle stages, interaction effects existed in all aspects of family environment, career activities, education, and institutions. It has been shown that there are differences in the perception of career issues among members of multicultural families or among non-cultural families.

최근 한국사회는 급속히 다문화 사회로 변화 되면서 다문화 가정 학생을 위한 교육에 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이러한 시대 변화 흐름에 맞추어 다문화 가정 학생의 기초학습 능력과 관련된 연구가 진행되고 있으며 또한 국어, 사회, 음악, 미술, 통합교육 등에서 다문화 교육과정에 대한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 지식정보화 사회에서 필요로 하는 정보의 생성, 처리, 분석, 검색, 활용 등의 기본적인 정보 소양능력을 기르고, 이를 학습 활동과 일상생활에 적극적으로 활용하는 데 필요한 컴퓨터 교육에 관한 연구는 찾아보기 힘든 실정이다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 다문화 가정 학생을 위해 필요한 컴퓨터 교육내용을 제안하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to examine distress and difficulties experienced by multi-cultural elementary students in our society and to identify replaceable resources related to their school adjustment. For this, semi-structured interview consisting of questions related to these issues was conducted to 14 multi-cultural elementary students of 3^rd to 6^th grade who were living in a metropolitan area. Qualitative data were analyzed based on Giorgi's(1985) method of phenomenological analysis, which led to three dimensions in relation to elementary school adjustment: individual, relationship, and societal dimensions. Also, for school adjustment, education was found to be needed at the level of individuals, family, and multi-cultural cognition. Lastly, as for multi-cultural elementary students to adjust well not only at the school but also in Korean society overall, they must have positive national identity and multi-cultural recognition. Finally, their school adjustment were discussed in relation to these findings.

The purpose of this study was to examine what was the child's character education recognized by mothers of multicultural families and what was the actual conditions and needs of the child's character education at home through the in-depth interviews, and to suggest the efficient direction of the child's character education for mothers of multicultural families. The research participants were 6 mothers with children in multicultural families who lived in E city of Gangwon-do. The results of this study were as follows. First, as for the child's character education recognized by mothers of multicultural families, it was said to doing character education at home such as becoming a good person, becoming a child to listen to the parent's words and to reconcile with family, and becoming a child who was in harmony with friends. Second, as for the actual conditions of child's character education, they often used a control language such as "Do not, no", when children did not behave properly. In particular, there were some cases of using threatening words such as "taking you to the police station". Third, they hoped that various interests and support would be provided, such as not listening to "You are ill-behaved because you are in a multicultural family," receiving husband's educational support, receiving grandparents' support, and interests from the educational institution, etc.

This investigation analyzed differences in sexual experiences between general and multi-cultural adolescents using the 7th data of youth health behavior online survey and examined effects of fathers' education and sex education on these differences. Specifically, sexual experiences were assigned as dependent variable, multi-cultural background as independent variable, and fathers' education and sex education as moderating variable. Effects of independent and moderating variables were examined using SPSS 20.0 to perform GLM (General Linear Model). As a result, a main effect of multi-cultural background was verified along with the regulation effects of fathers' education and sex education. Specifically, multi-cultural adolescents had more sexual experiences than general adolescents and the effects of fathers' education and sex education were more significant with multi-cultural adolescents than those with general adolescents. While fathers' education and sex education of general adolescents did not make a big difference in sexual experiences, multi-cultural adolescents whose fathers' education levels were low and those who were not taught sex education had more sexual experiences.

This study selected the objects and the content factors of multicultural education in home economics, and analyzed multicultural contents reflected on high school technology & home economics textbooks. Based on these results, this study suggests the direction for improving technology & home economics textbook. We set up the object of multicultural education in home economics as creating the new culture through developing multicultural ability by critical thinking. The distribution analysis of multicultural contents of six kinds of technology & home economics textbook resulted that most of contents are assigned to 'knowledge section'. And 'personal relationship and group function' holds the highest ratio among the sub-sections of 'function section'. The 'value section' shows even distribution in its sub-sections. Most of textbooks contain characteristics of Korean traditional culture and necessary value in multicultural society. But, there are lack of contents about the way of communication with other cultures and coexist with diverse cultures. When we develops new textbook hereafter, it is necessary to contain the contents about which can help to understand and respect diverse culture through the egalitarian perspective and, by extension, which can make students think critically about the attitude, values, environment and way of live together with multicultural members in society. From now on Home Economics education will help the students who live in multicultural society to be understand about the differences in diverse culture and to create a desirable culture through the critical thinking as well.
