Media-Aesthetical approach to the Computer-based Layer (컴퓨터 기반의 레이어(layer)에 대한 매체미학적 분석)

  • The recent aesthetical argument has been focusing on the interrelation between art and media. Now media is a kind of creative activity and dynamic factor which comprises aesthetic perception in itself compared to that of the past linear thingking era that was just a means of proving presence. Norbert Bolz, a leading media-aesthetician, puts the emphasis on the transformation of image, not the its dupe. He urges that this artistic form does not deliver the image of object, but means the objectless image itself. Therefore creativity is caused by an effect of a optional technic in the stage of technological environment where is under the control of the non-linear thingking system. In this context, this essay investigates to confirm the above mentioned aestheical views by analyzing the computer based layer as an detailed example, and to illuminate the designers creative activity where is deemed to be under its radical influence. Therefore it can be dedicated to the extension of the theoretical background in design, bridging between two practices accor ding to the Bolz's notion that the new aesthetical concept should be accompanied by ' the Design Science ', that is centered on the new media.

  • 청각장애인이 PC환경에서 영화, 방송, 애니메이션 등의 동영상 콘텐츠를 이용할 때 장애의 정도에 따라 콘텐츠의 접근성에 있어서 시각적 수용 이외의 부분적 장애가 발생한다. 이러한 장애의 극복을 위해 수화 애니메이션이나 독화 교육과 같은 청각장애인의 정보 접근성 향상을 위한 콘텐츠와 기술이 개발된 사례가 있었으나 다소 한계점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 현대 뉴미디어 예술 작품의 예술적 표현 방법을 구성요소로서 추출하여, 기술과 감성의 조화가 어우러진 독창적인 콘텐츠를 생산할 수 있는 기술을 개발함으로써 PC환경에서 청각장애인의 동영상 콘텐츠에 대한 접근성 향상 방법을 추출하고, 실질적으로 청각적 효과의 시각적 변환 인터페이스 개발 및 이미지 캡션 생성 소프트웨어 개발을 통해 청각장애인의 동영상 콘텐츠 사용성을 극대화시킬 수 있는 방법론을 제시하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 첫째, 청각장애인의 동영상 콘텐츠 접근성 분석, 둘째, 미디어아트 작품의 선별적 분석 및 유동요소 추출, 셋째, 인터페이스 및 콘텐츠 제작의 순서로 단계별 방법론을 제시하고 있다. 이 세번 째 단계에서 이미지 캡션 생성 소프트웨어가 개발되고, 비트맵 아이콘 형태의 이미지 캡션 콘텐츠가 생성된다. 개발한 이미지 캡션 생성 소프트웨어는 사용성에 입각한 일상의 언어적 요소와 예술 작품으로부터 추출한 청각 요소의 시각적요소로의 전환을 위한 인터페이스인 것이다. 이러한 기술의 개발은 기술적 측면으로는 청각장애인의 다양한 웹콘텐츠 접근 장애를 개선하는 독창적인 인터페이스 추출 환경을 확립하여 응용영역을 확대하고, 공학적으로 단언된 기술 영역을 콘텐츠 개발 기술이라는 새로운 영역으로 확장함으로써 간학제적 시도를 통한 기술영역을 유기적으로 확대하며, 문자와 오디오를 이미지와 시각적 효과로 전환하여 다각적인 미디어의 교차 활용 방안을 제시하여 콘텐츠를 형상화시키는 기술을 활성화 시키는 효과를 거둘 수 있다. 또한 청각장애인의 접근성 개선이라는 한정된 영역을 뛰어넘어 국가간 언어적인 장벽을 초월할 수 있는 다각적인 부가 동영상 콘텐츠에 대한 시도, 접근, 생산을 통해 글로벌 시대에 부응하는 새로운 방법론으로 발전 할 수 있다.

  • Today, Numbers of "0" and "1" which are represented as a digital code have a role of communicating with various media, result in the development of IT technology. With the changes of the times, new media is created and various contents and media are formed. There is convergence between exiting contents and media at the same time and also is in the rapid progress of unification and collapse between the boundary of the data. Under these digital circumstance, the amount of many data which are created and disappeared is rapidly changed as much as the remarkable growth of the digital technology. The purpose of this thesis is to make a classified method of a effective data component related to data management, data recycling and data copyright in 3D animation.

  • It is the emergence of multimedia based on information revolution that foretells and develops the largest change in the transfiguration of a modern design. In this paper, the basic principle and characteristics of a new design model is compared and analyzed, and the change of communication based on information form in order to examine the concept and characteristics of digital as today's new media in detail is considered in an changed environment. And also a new theoretical ground is derived about ‘virtual reality’ and ‘interaction’ which is the important characteristics of a digital media so as to compare the property of digital with that of analogue, analyze them and specify the concept and characteristics of digital. Thus the validity of this study is proved by a new interpretation methode of ‘spatiotemporal structure’ on the digital design on the basis of the above mentioned things

  • The Internet has had a significant impact on the operations of record companies and has transformed the role of music consumers. Active music consumers are regarded as not just consumers but also co-creators and innovators who create value; therefore, firms need to create environments in which they can learn from consumers. Prior studies exist on the effects of the Internet on the music business, including its structure and culture. However, these studies did not focus on exploring how the relationship between record labels and consumers changed, how networked music consumers influence value creation and how record labels are responding, and the difficulties from using and the drawbacks of interactive media and new business models in the music market. This study investigates these issues through interviews.

  • 코로나19 팬데믹은 삶의 많은 부분을 변화시켰다. 국가 간 통제 및 사회적 거리두기로 인한 직접적인 만남이 제한되고, 우리 생활의 많은 영역이 비대면으로 전환되었다. 이런 상황에서 의사소통 및 사회적, 경제적 교류를 위한 대안으로 레거시 미디어콘텐츠의 퇴조와 함께 소셜미디어 등의 뉴미디어 콘텐츠를 활용한 경제활동이 이루어지고 있다. 미디어콘텐츠를 기반한 경제 생태계는 복잡해지고 있으며, 플랫폼 간 경쟁 또한 매우 치열해지는 상황이다. 급속하게 변하고 있는 디지털 환경의 사회 구조는 경제 전반에 큰 영향을 주고 있으며, 경제활동을 지속하려는 개인과 정책지원을 하는 국가에도 중요한 현안이 되어 있다. 고령화 사회로의 빠른 진입으로 인적 자본의 활용 문제가 대두되고, 코로나19로 인한 경제불황이 대면 경제활동을 크게 위축시키면서 고용 감소와 불안정성이 대두되었다. 그에 따라 비대면 산업이 활성화되고, 플랫폼 산업 등 미디어콘텐츠 기반의 새로운 경제활동이 주목받고 일상화되었다. 또한 미디어콘텐츠 기반 비즈니스에 실효성 있는 인적 자본 활용이 국가의 주요 정책이 되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 미디어콘텐츠 활용과 신 정보화 도구를 활용한 디지털 역량이 경제활동 지속 의도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지에 대하여 실증적으로 분석하고 검증하여 실무적 시사점을 제시하고자 한다.

Roles and Discourse of Cryptocurrency's Online Community and YouTube : Using Focus Group Interviews (암호화폐 온라인 커뮤니티와 유튜브의 역할 및 담론분석 연구 : FGI 인터뷰를 중심으로)

  • Conducting Focus Group Interview (FGI), this study examined the roles and discourses of cryptocurrency's online communities and media (legacy media and YouTube), and based on this, the study proposed the direction of cryptocurrency policy. By reviewing previous literature, this study analyzed the characteristics of investors, the online community, and YouTube, which is an investment environment factor. The study figured out the purpose of use and role of the community via interviews with cryptocurrency professional investors and online community members and analyzed main discussion themes of the five top-ranked YouTube channels related to cryptocurrency with the highest number of subscribers. The results suggested that cryptocurrency's investment was led by those who are in their 20s and 30s, the investors preferred and trusted information on new media than legacy media. The online community played the role of emotional homogeneity and empathy, and YouTube mainly performed the informational role. As a result of discourse analysis and interviews, this study argued that the legal stability of cryptocurrency's policy and protection of individual investors are needed. This study's significance indicates that it used various research methods such as literature research, interviews, content analysis of community/YouTube to analyze the informational role and emotional aspects of new media and suggested policy direction of the digital new deal blockchain technology and the fairness of financial industry.

  • In circumstances that case studies of management strategy for the domestic media company were rare, this study was performed case analysis of CJ E&M, representative new media/contents company in Korea. An evolutionary perspective is applied to diversification of the business and the external environmental analysis/resource based view are applied to capability evaluation since the inauguration as analysis frameworks. Unlike other media companies, CJ E&M have increased synergies of scale through horizontal, vertical diversification and superior contents strategies. furthermore, there are many advantages of enthusiasm of the leadership, expertise, high human configuration, creative corporate culture, effective contents portfolio. However, it is necessary to note that too much emphasis on competition and the performance of the organization may make organizational atmosphere rigid and weaken the global competitiveness.

The Effect and Its Potential Determinants of Cross-Media Advertising between Online and Offline Media (온-오프라인 교차광고의 효과와 영향요인에 관한 연구)

  • As the media environment surrounding us has changed rapidly, the influences of traditional media decrease whereas promotions using new media have been developing remarkably, Under this circumstance, cross-media advertising, which strategically integrates advertisements on multiple media, is getting attention as an effective marketing communication approach. This study investigated consumer responses to cross-media advertising using both online and offline media, focusing on the effects of product involvement, attributes of media connection, and gender. The experiment was conducted towards adult consumers aged 20 to 39. Results confirmed that the interaction effect between product involvement and attributes of media connection on brand attitude and behavioral intention was significant by a moderating role of gender. Based on the results from this study, both theoretical and practical implications were discussed, as were directions for future research.
