대구시 주거지역의 오존농도 평가

  • 본 연구에서는 2001년부터 2005년까지의 최근 5년간의 대구시 보건환경연구원의 대기질 자동측정망 자료와 대구기상대의 기상자료를 이용하여 통계적 방법을 이용하여 대구시 주거지역의 오존농도를 평가하였다. 분석기간은 2001년부터 2005년까지 고농도 오존일이 가장 많이 발생한 5, 6월을 대상으로 하여, 오존농도와 대기오염물질 및 기상요소와의 상관관계분석과 교차상관관계 분석을 실시하였다. 대구지역의 오존농도는 측정지점별로 약간의 차이는 있지만, 기온 및 일사량이 증가하는 하절기에 증가하고, 동절기에 감소하는 전형적인 패턴을 보여주었다. 분석기간 중 오존최고농도는 상관관계분석 결과 고농도 오존에 영향을 주는 인자로 대기오염물질로는 $NO_2$, NO 그리고 기상요소로는 온도, 상대습도, 일사량으로 나타났다. 교차상관관계분석 결과 NO2, NO, 온도와 상대습도는 0시간 차이에서 가장 높은 상관계수를 나타내었으며, 일사량의 경우 오존농도가 최고치를 나타낼 때보다 -2시간 차이에서 가장 높은 상관계수를 나타내었다.

Effect of Theaflavin and Thearubigin from Microbial Fermented Teas on Urushiol Allergic Contact Dermatitis (미생물 발효차의 Theaflavin.Thearubigin에 의한 옻 알레르기성 접촉피부염에 미치는 영향)

  • 본 연구는 옻(Rhus verniciflua)에 대한 국산 미생물 발효차 폴리 페놀물질 인 theaflavin(TF)과 thearubigin(TR)의 항알레르기 효과를 조사하였다. HPLC, column chromatography 및 TLC로 이용하여, 한국 원주산, 일본산 및 중국산 락커(lacquer)로부터 아주 강한 알레르기를 유발하는 long chain alkylphenol을 함유하는 crude urushiol 성분을 분리하였다. 고분자 이중 및 삼중불포화물질의 함량은 중국산 라커의 crude urushiol에 가장 많이 포함되어 있었다. 중국산 라커의 crude urushiol에서 유발되는 접촉성 알레르기 피부염 발생은 5%농도에서 한국산이나 일본산 라커의 시료보다 높았으며, TF 및 TR를 처리한 모든 농도에서 접촉성 알레르기 피부염의 유의적인 감소를 나타내었다. 이들 결과로부터 발효차의 폴리페놀성 TF와 TR은 옻의 접촉성 피부염에 대한 유의적인 항알레르기 효과를 나타내었다.

The influence on cultivation characteristics of winter mushroom by carbon dioxide concentration (탄산가스 농도 변화가 팽이 버섯 재배에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was performed to determine the optimal concentration of carbon dioxide, which effects mushroom growth and yield. It was shown that the periods for fruiting initiation, growth and harvest of Flammulina velutipes were increased when the $CO_2$ concentration was raised. In general, those characteristics were less affected in brown strains than in white ones. Especially brown strain ASI4103 was susceptible to changes in $CO_2$ concentration. Yields per bottle and individual mushroom weight also decreased in most strains when $CO_2$ levels increased. We were unable to designate any tendency in the number of fruiting bodies due to the large variation within each respective strain. Finally, water contents in the fruiting bodies were found to decline under high $CO_2$ concentrations.

Effects of Dietary Yellow Clay on Growth Performance and Body Composition in Broiler Chicks (육계에서 사료내 황토 첨가가 성장 및 체조성에 미치는 영향)

  • This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary Hwangto on growth performance and body composition in broiler chicks. A total of 216 one-day old 'Ross' broilers were assigned to 6 treatments in a completely randomized design. The six dietary treaoents were control no Hwangto added and diets containing 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0 and 8.0% of Hwangto supplementation. The weight gain of broilers tended to reduce with increasing level of Hwangto. However, there were no significant differences in feed intake and feed conversion ratio of broilers fed control and diets containing different level of Hwangto supplementation (P>0.05). There were no significant differences in TBA value of meat from broilers fed control and Hwangto supplemented diets (P>0.05). The meat cholesterol content was significantly lower in Hwangto treatment than of the control (P>.0.05). $NH_3$ concentration in feces was reduced in all Hwangto treatments (P<0.05). The Mg and Mn concentrations of meat we.e significantly higher in 8.0% Hwangto treatment than that of the control (P<0.05). The large intestine weight was significantly reduced in 2.0, 4.0 and 8.0% treatments (P<0.05).

  • Agrobacterium sp. ATCC 31750( formerly Alcaligenes faecalis subsp myxogenes) was used to produce curdlan. Since the curdlan is secondary metabolite, it is important for curdlan production to increase cell concentration. The fedbatch operation was used to increase cell concentration with addition of carbon and nitrogen sources. When the initial sucrose concentration was 20g/L, it was consumed in 24 hrs and the cell concentration was 6g/L in a batch culture. The sucrose solution(200g/L) was fed to control the sucrose concentration above 10g/L.

Effects of NaCl Concentrations on Production and Yields of Fruiting Body of Oyster Mushrooms, Pleurotus spp. (NaCl의 농도가 느타리버섯 자실체 발생 및 수량에 미치는 영향)

  • This studies investigated the effect of concentrations of sodium chloride (NaCl) on occurrence and growth of fruitbody in oyster mushrooms, Pleurotus spp. Our experiments divided into two parts. When the water contents in substrate were added with sodium chloride solution in cotton waste box cultivation as a first experiment, the growth of mushroom was damaged as the concentration was increased, even though there was a little difference according to the strains. The yield in 1.0% NaCl solution was decreased to 72% compared to non-treated plot while that in 3.0% solution was only 2% of the non-treated plot. Morphological characteristics of mushrooms cultivated in substrate with the different concentration of the solution showed different results. For example, the size and thickness of pilei were not influenced by NaCl concentration, but the length of stipes and individual weight were much influenced. In plastic box cultivation filled with cotton waste, watering treatment with the different concentrations of sodium chloride solution, the second experiment, did not show any difference according to the concentration until 1.0% solution but there was a little difference according to the strains. The productivity of fruitbody started to decrease at 2.0% of the solution and the yield and quality of mushroom in 3.0% solution treatment were generally low. After the second flush, days for mushroom sprouting were generally prolonged in proportion to the solution concentration. Taken altogether, the second experiment did not show a clear effect as the case of the first experiment.

  • Seawater intrusion phenomenons of coastal area happen by natural or artificial factor. For example, density difference of seawater and fresh water, surface of the water change by tidal current, pumping, aggregate picking from mouth of a river, large scale reclamation in water area business etc. This research analyzed effect that groundwater TDS changed by pumping.As a result, it was expose that TDS density increases by sudden inflow of seawater when do pumping up more than $200m^3/day$. Finally, We are expected to prevent calamity by seawater intrusion in coastal area through this study and propose optimum pumping amount to use groundwater safety.

  • This experimental study deals with on Nitric Oxide Formation & Reduction in Industrial Bunner. In this study, Laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) techniques have been used for quantitative measurements of Nitric Oxide. The NO A-X (0, 0) Vibrational band around 226 nm was excited using a XeCl excimer-pumped dye laser. And on-line excitation used $P_{21}+Q_1(14.5)/R_{12}+Q_2(20.5)/P_1(23.5)$ transition, for minimizing the other interferential effect. The measurements were taken NO concentration distribution in double swirling diffusion flame. In this swirl burner, NO concentration in downstream fo the flame decrease as primary/secondary air ratio increases.

Effect of Korean Traditional Teas on Plasma and Hepatic Lipid Levels in Lead-Administered Rats (한국전통차가 납투여된 흰쥐의 혈장과 간조직 중 지질농도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was designed to test the effect of Korean traditional teas on lipid levels in lead (Pb)-administered rats. Male rats were divided into normal, Pb-control (rb-Con) and Pb-water extract of traditional teas (green tea: GWE, persimmon leaf: PWE, safflower seed: SWE, Solomon's seal: SSWE) groups. Pb intoxication was induced by administration lead acetate (25 mg/kg. BW, oral) weekly. The extract was administered based on 1.26 g of raw traditional tea/g BWday for 4 weeks. Net weight gain and feed intake were significantly lower in the Pb-Con group than in the normal group, whereas they were tended to increase by traditional teas supplements. Both Plasma and hepatic total cholesterol and triglyceride concentration were lower in the traditional teas supplemented groups compared to the Pb-Con group. Plasma VLDL-cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol levels were significantly increased by Pb ad-ministration, whereas HDL-cholesterol concentration was significantly lower in the Pb-Con group than in the normal group. However, water extracts of green tea, persimmon leaf, safflower seed and solomon's seal supplementation improved changes of the plasma lipoprotein-cholesterol levels in Pb administered rats.

Preparation of Alginate Microspheres Using Membrane Emulsification Method (막유화법에 의한 알지네이트 Microsphere의 제조)

  • We prepared monodispersed calcium alginate microspheres by controlling various conditions of emulsification procedure using a lab-scale batch type membrane emulsification system equipped with SPG (Shirasu porous glass) tubular membranes. We determined the effects of process parameters of membrane emulsification (ratio of dispersed phase to continuous phase, alginate concentration, emulsifier concentration, type and concentration of stabilizer, transmembrane pressure, concentration of crosslinking agent, stirring speed and membrane pore size) on the mean size and size distribution of alginate microspheres. The increase of the ratio of dispersed phase to continuous phase, transmembrane pressure and alginate concentration led to the increase in the mean size of alginate microspheres. On the contrary, the increase in emulsifier concentration, stirring speed of the continuous phase and concentration of the crosslinking agent caused the reduction of the mean size of microspheres. Through controlling these parameters, monodisperse alginate microspheres with about $6{\mu}{\textrm{m}}$ of the mean size and 1.1 of the size distribution value were finally prepared in case of the using SPC membrane with the pore size of $2.9{\mu}{\textrm{m}}$.
