Many kinds of teaching methods have been used to instruct ethical issues that arise in the field of science and technology. However, few teaching methods of bioethics have been validated by ethical theories, or justified based on practical utility in bioethics teaching. The aim of this article is to suggest teaching methods of bioethics that are appropriate for ethical theories and socio-scientific issues related to biological sciences in secondary schools. In the article, the teaching methods are classified into three types of ethical theories and into three types of socio-scientific issues in biological sciences. The characteristics of nine teaching/learning methods are then described in terms of appropriate bioethical issues or contexts, and ethical theories or principles.

This paper looks critically, in the light of the Capital Controversies of the 1950s and the 1960s, at the Neoclassical claim that the Funded-Pension system is economically superior to the Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) pension system. This claim rests crucially upon the inverse relation between the rate of interest and the volume of investment (the investment demand function) and the positive relation between the capital intensity and labour productivity (the 'intensive- form' production function), The Capital Controversies proved that the two relations do not always hold; then, the claim in question loses much of its ground. Further, the absensce of the relations makes plenty room for effective demand in determining the level of income and the volome of employment even in the long period. This positive role of effective demand in the long period highlights the problems of the Funded-Pension system and, at the same time, supports the competitiveness of the PAYG pension system.

올해 말부터 우리나라에도 유전자변형 농산물(GMO)에 대한 표시제도가 도입된다. 유전자도입(GM) 식품의 안전성을 둘러싼 소비자단체의 캠페인은 유럽 천지를 뒤흔든 뒤 GMO의 주요생산지인 미국에서도 일기 시작했다. 그런데 최근에는 안전성을 둘러싼 논쟁이 과학계로 번지기 시작했다.

80년대 문단이 문학의 사회성과 예술성을 둘러싼 리얼리즘과 모더니즘의 선명한 대립선상에서 파악될 수 있다면, 이념의 깃발이 내려진 90년대 문단을 지배한 것은 문학(비평)의 위기와 상업주의의 악마적 질주에 대한 문학적 대응이라고 할 수 있다. 선명한 진영은 해체되고 위기의 담론이 넘쳤으며 문단 상업주의는 더욱 노골화됐다. 따라서 90년대는 '중심'을 상실해간 시대에 진정성의 문학이 놓일 자리를 찾는 잡음과 소음의 연대로 기록될 것이다.

This study aims at examining the discussions of Chilgeojiak, meaning seven vices that can be valid causes of divorce, and the discourse on a married couple shown in the deposal of Empress Kwak in Okhwangibong. The study first analyzes the relationship between the incidents of expelling wives from homes in the Joseon Dynasty Era and the seven vices. The divorce of Yi Mi and Shin Taeyeong and the deposal of Queen Yun by King Seongjong show that the standards of judgement in most of the seven vices are unclear or controversial. In Okhwangibong, the arguments about Chilgeojiak are examined through the form of a novel with the expulsion of Empress Kwak. Empress Kwak was deposed by her husband, Emperor Kwangmu, due to jealousy and evil deeds. However, she was devoted to her parents-in-law, bore sons, and above all, she was the emperor's first wife and had gone through hard times and supported her husband. Considering these circumstances, her deposal is not quite agreeable. Readers have the same question, and this has become a cause of the creation of a series. The reasons for Empress Kwak's jealousy lie in Okhwan-a jade ring, the existence of Empress Eum, and the partial love of Emperor Kwangmu. That is, it is not Empress Kwak's fault. Additionally, unrealistic elements involved in Empress Kwak's evil deeds and the story structure focused on her work as factors that make readers support Empress Kwak. Therefore, Okhwangibong displays the realities regarding the discourse of husbands and wives of the era rather than the love in Okhwan, the jade ring, between Emperor Kwangmu and Empress Eum. Such understanding continues to exist in the following series and is a valid problem in the present time.

Media audiences are defined in a complex relationship with a comprehensive media environment, and are structured and reconstructed according to changes in the media environment. Today, with the changes in the media environment represented by convergence and transmedia, discussions on audiences are actively developing, and debates between positive and negative views on the cultural and political characteristics continue. This paper aims to systematically examine the complexity and ambivalence of new audiences beyond the binomial confrontational debate, and to understand the conditions and mechanisms under which the progressive possibility can be actualized. First, it looks at the changes in today's media environment and contents, and examines the changing patterns of audiences in connection with them based on related research. In addition, it examines the debate on the cultural and political characteristics of new audiences, and explores ways to construct /reconstruct alternative audiences based on Jacques Ranciere's discussion. In conclusion, the characteristics and contents of the utopian and dystopian moments of the transmedia audience were examined, and the necessary works for realizing the former were identified.

이 글은 영국 홈리스에 대한 기존의 연구들을 검토하면서 홈리스의 세 가지 측면을 고찰한다. 첫째, 홈리스의 현황을 파악하기 위하여, 홈리스에 대한 서로 다른 정의와 홈리스 규모에 대한 여러 추정치를 비교 검토한다. 이 글은 또한 거리노숙자 규모를 측정하는 방법을 둘어싼 논쟁을 정리한다. 둘째, 홈리스의 원인을 분석한다. 홈리스의 원인을 규명하는데 다섯 가지 접근이 있다. 이 글은 이런 다섯 가지 접근들의 등장 배경, 내용, 그들 사이의 논쟁을 정리한다. 셋째, 영국 홈리스 정책을 고찰한다. 영국 홈리스 정책의 가장 중요한 특징은 홈리스에게 임시주택 혹은 안정적인 주택을 제공하는 것이다. 이 글은 1960년대 이후 영국 홈리스 정책의 변화 과정을 정리한다. 1997년 집권한 노동당 정부는 거리노숙자 정책을 정부의 최우선 정책과제들 가운데 하나로 설정하면서 거리노숙 문제의 해결에 적극적으로 개업했다. 그 결과 2000년 이후 거리노숙자가 대폭 줄어들었다. 현재 시행되고 있는 거리노숙자 정책은 주거지원 뿐만 아니라 다양한 차원의 지원을 포함한다. 홈리스 예방도 중요한 정책으로 다루어지고, 정보와 인간단체가 협력해서 거리노숙 문제를 해결하고자 한다. 거리노숙자를 줄이는데 성공한 영국의 거리노숙자 정책은 우리에게 많은 시사점을 줄 것이다.

In this Paper the change of trends over historical research of mathematics, that has been developed since 1970, is inquired. Most of all it deals with the controversy concerning so-called 'geometrical algebra'. It covers the contents of Euclid' work II. And the relation of the controversy with the change of direction over historical research of mathematics is examined.

We investigate both the design-based and model-based inferences, which are usual inferential methods in survey sampling. While the design-based inference is on the basis of randomization principle, The motel-based inference is based on likelihood principle as well as conditionality principle. There have been some disputes between two inferences for a long time and those have not yet been determined. In this paper we reviewed some issues on two inferences and compared their advantages and disadvantages in some viewpoints.

In spite of dramatic change of environmental condition since Cambrian big-bang (explosion occurred ca.540 mya, the phylum Arthropoda retains a great diversity, and it is estimated approximately that 1-10 million arthropod species are extant on the earth. Except for an extinct arthopod subphylum Trilobita, extant arthropods could be divided into five subphyla: Hexapoda, Crustacea, Myriapoda, Chelicerata, and Pycnosonida. During the last century, systematists have disputed about interrealtionships among Arthropoda and its relatives (Onychophora, Tardigrada, and Pentastomida), arthropod phylogenetic position within protostome animals, monophyly or polyphyly of the phylum Arthropods, and interrelationships among five arthropod subgroups (subphyla) etc. Recently, new animal phylogeny was reported that protostomes could be clustered into two groups, Lophotrochozoa and Ecdysozoa, and molting animals such as Nematoda and Arthropoda were included within the Ecdysozoa. On the basis of the new animal phylogeny, first of all, I would mention phylogenetic positions and relationships of Arthropods and its relatives to introduce controversies of arthropod phylogeny in phylum level of animals. After that, I focused mainly on the controveries related to arthropod monophyly and phylogenetic relationships among four major arthropod groups except Pycnogonida. In this work, Pycnogonida which is a relatively small group and one of the five arthropod subphyla was not handled significantly although there are some controversies if it is a sister taxon of chelicerates or the most primitive arthropod group (namely, a sister of four remains arthropod groups).
