A Study on WT-Algorithm for Effective Reduction of Association Rules (효율적인 연관규칙 감축을 위한 WT-알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • We are in overload status of information not just in a flood of information due to the data pouring from various kinds of mobile devices, online and Social Network Service(SNS) every day. While there are many existing information already created, lots of new information has been created from moment to moment. Linkage analysis has the shortcoming in that it is difficult to find the information we want since the number of rules increases geometrically as the number of item increases with the method of finding out frequent item set where the frequency of item is bigger than minimum support in this information. In this regard, this thesis proposes WT-algorithm that represents the transaction data set as Boolean variable item and grants weight to each item by making algorithm with Quine-McKluskey used to simplify the logical function. The proposed algorithm can improve efficiency of data mining by reducing the unnecessary rules due to the advantage of simplification regardless of number of items.

  • Although Intelligent Tutoring System(ITS) offers individualized learning environment that overcome limited function of existent CAI, and consider many learners' variable, there is little development to be using at the sites of schools because of inefficiency of investment and absence of pedagogical content knowledge representation techniques. To solve these problem, we should study a method, which represents knowledge for ITS, and which reuses knowledge base. On the pedagogical content knowledge, the knowledge in education differs from knowledge in a general sense. In this paper, we shall primarily address the multi-complex structure of knowledge and explanation of learning vein using multi-complex structure. Multi-Complex, which is organized into nodes, clusters and uses by knowledge base. In addition, it grows a adaptive knowledge base by self-learning. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the 'Extended Neural Logic Network(X-Neuronet)', which is based on Neural Logic Network with logical inference and topological inflexibility in cognition structure, and includes pedagogical content knowledge and object-oriented conception, verify validity. X-Neuronet defines that a knowledge is directive combination with inertia and weights, and offers basic conceptions for expression, logic operator for operation and processing, node value and connection weight, propagation rule, learning algorithm.

  • XML has become one of the most influential standard language for representing and exchanging data on internet. However, XML itself has a ability to represent a logical structure for storing and managing data, it is inadequate to use as a conceptual modeling tool because of its complexity for representing the document structures. In this paper, we propose the graphical form of conceptual modeling techniques for representing the structure of the XML schema documents using an extended entity relationship diagram. For this, extended entity relationship model is presented for representing the XML schema structure, transformation rules are presented for transforming extended entity relationship model into XML schema document to show the completeness of the proposed model.

  • Due to continuous change in traffic and increase in traffic volumes at the intersection, efficient traffic control system is required to manage road situations flexibly in accordance with the change occurring every hour. In this paper, we study the control systems which will help us to determine the interva ls of intersection following the autonomous analysis of complexity of the road. Fuzzy logic control concept was applied to the fuzzy logic controller(FLC) for controlling traffic signal. Furthermore the fuzzy signal systems were compare with the regular signal systems to prove higher performance of the FLC presente d in the paper. By means of simulation, the validity of FLC was proven. About 6% increase in the efficiency of traffic control based on the proposed algorithm in this paper was when we use the simulation.

  • An optimization problem of AND-EXOR PLA's with input decoders can be regarded as a minimization problem of Exclusive-Or Sum-Of-Products expressions (ESOP's) for multiple-valued input two-valued output functions. In this paper, We propose a minimization algorithm for ESOP's. The algorithm is based on an iterative improvement. Five rules are used to replace a pair of products with another one. We minimized many ESOP's for arithmetic circuits. In most cases, ESOP's required fewer products than SOP's to realized same functions.

A Study on the Constructing the Function using Extension Edge Valued Graph (모서리값 확장 그래프를 사용한 함수구성에 관한연구)

  • In recently years, many digital logic systems based on graph theory are analyzed and synthesized. This paper presented a method of constructing the function using edge valued extension graph which is based on graph theory. The graph is applied to a new data structure. from binary graph which is recently used in constructing the digital logic systems based on the graph theory. We discuss the mathematical background of literal and reed-muller expansion, and we discuss the edge valued extension graph which is the key of this paper. Also, we propose the algorithms which is the function derivation based on the proposed edge valued extension graph. That is the function minimization method of the n-variables m-valued functions and showed that the algorithm had the regularity with module by which the same blocks were made concerning about the schematic property of the proposed algorithm.

  • 지식표현은 일반적으로 논리, 규칙, 프레임 또는 의미망 형태로 표현되며, 최근에는 의미망을 이용한 온톨로지 형태로 표현되고 있다. 이러한 지식표현 방법은 개념을 설명하는 문맥적인 정보나 개념들 간의 구조적인 정보를 이용하여 개념에 대한 지식을 논리적으로 표현하는데 중점을 두었다. 하지만, 지식표현에 사용되는 의미정보는 사람에 의해 수집되고 정제되기 때문에 많은 시간, 비용 및 인력이 필요하다는 한계가 있고, 새로운 의미를 추가하거나 기존의 의미를 수정하는 것이 매우 어렵다는 한계가 있다. 색채는 특정 대상이나 개념에 대한 의미, 연상, 상징 등 객관적인 특징 뿐 아니라 시대, 나라, 문화와 같은 사회적 배경을 반영하기 때문에, 정보를 제공하고 감성을 전달하는 효과적인 수단으로 사용되고 있다. 이에 본 논문은, 색채를 이용한 의미정보모델 구축을 위해, 색채정보를 수집하고 정량적으로 분석하는 방법을 제안한다. 긍정/부정/불안/중립으로 구성된 감성어휘 273개를 이용하여 이미지를 수집한 결과 총 130,944개의 이미지를 수집하였다. 이미지에는 여러 가지 사물, 행동, 배경, 색채 등 다양한 정보가 혼재되어 있어 감성어휘와 연관된 색채를 구별하기 어렵기 때문에 이미지를 직관적으로 설명할 수 있는 사용자 태그를 별도로 수집하였다. 태그는 총 2,836,395개를 수집하였고 각 이미지와 그룹에서의 가중치를 구하였다. 태그의 가중치를 통해 이미지가 그룹 내에서 갖는 중요도를 판별하였고, 각 그룹 별로 상위 30%의 이미지를 추출하여 대표 색채를 분석하였다.

Can anomalous monism be interpreted as a counter theory against the consequence argument? (무법칙적 일원론은 결과논변에 대응할 수 있는가?)

  • As is well known, the consequence argument(shortly, CA) is intended as showing the incompatibility of free will and determinism. Recently, professor Choi Hoon tries to show there is a way in which Davidson's anomalous monism(shortly, AM) can be interpreted to counter CA. But I do not agree with his interpretation. So, in this paper, I will try to show why in the following way. In order to counter CA, it must be possible for AM to deny at least one of the premises of CA or to deny ${\beta}$ rule which guarantees the validity of CA or to show that free will is compatible with determinism in spite of the soundness of CA. In this paper, I will show that AM can do neither.

On a Supposed Counterexample to Modus Ponens (긍정논법 반례에 대한 선행연구와 확률)

  • Vann Mcgee produced "counterexamples" to Modus Ponens in "A Counterexample to Modus Ponens". Discussions about the examples tended to focus on a probabilistic reading of conditional statements. This article attempts to establish both (1) Modus Ponens is a deductively valid rule of inference, and (2) the counterexample-like appearance of Mcgee's example can be (and should be) explained without making a reference to the notion of conditional probability. The reason why his examples seem to counter Modus Ponens is found rather within the ambiguity a conditional statement exhibits. That is, Mcgee's examples are cases of equivocation on the conditional statements involved.

Learning Method of the ADALINE Using the Fuzzy System (퍼지 시스템을 이용한 ADALINE의 학습 방식)

  • In this paper, we proposed a learning algorithm for the ADALINE network. The proposed algorithm exploits fuzzy system for automatic tuning of the weight parameters of the ADALINE network. The inputs of the fuzzy system are error and change of error, and the output is the weight variation. We used different scaling factor for each weights. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, we peformed the simulation and experimentation for the cases of the noise cancellation and the inverted pendulum control. The results show that the proposed algorithm does not need the learning rate and improves 4he performance compared to the Widrow-Hoff delta rule for ADALINE.
