The purpose of this study is to analyze how the elements of activating happiness education suggested by Noddings is reflected in the Home Economics part of Middle School Technology-Home Economics Textbook Volume 2 of 2009 Curriculum Revision. The introduction style of unit, sub-unit, and small chapter, the objectives, the body contents, the activity resources, the tables/diagrams/pictures, the supplementry and advancedl materials, and the wrap-up and evaluation of sub-unit and units of Home Economics part of Technology Home Economics textbook volume 2 were analyzed. Noddings suggested the elements for activating happiness education in five areas of personal life sector including 'home making', 'place and nature', 'parenting', 'chracter and spiriual experiences', and 'growth of interpersonal relationships' and two areas of public one including 'preperation for work' and 'community, democracy and voluntary activities'. The specific elements in seven sectors of activating happiness education were extracted using the content analysis. How the elements of those suggested by Noddings were reflected in the various parts of the textbook were analyzed in terms of the closeness of approaches, contents, and procedures between Noddings's and textbook. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1. The degree to which the elements of activating happiness education were reflected in the textbook differed by each unit. The elements of activating happiness education were reflected the most frequently in the unit of 'Unit of Practice of Eco-friendly Family Life' and the least frequently in the unit of 'Unit of Career and Life Planning'. 2. The Home Economics units of Technology Home Economics textbooks 1&2 reflects the factors of personal life and public life that Noddings suggested for activating happiness. However, personal life-related factors are relatively more reflected in the units than the public life-related factors. 3. Although the elements of activating happiness education were generally reflected in all the elements of a textbook, these elements were relatively more reflected in the Unit Introduction, Sub-unit Introduction, Chapter and Introduction, Objectives, body contents and tables/diagrams/pictures.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the types of present situation data related to school facilities through existing literature and related systems and to develop indicators related to improvement of educational environment that can have an important influence on students' education and life in general. In this study, we conducted a second Delphy Survey to establish the educational environment improvement index. As a result, a total of 88 education environment improvement indicators were set, including 43 indicators on the quantitative aspects of the area, adequacy of general classrooms, and appropriateness of multi-purpose steel sugar, 34 indicators on the qualitative aspects such as the level of seismic performance, age of fire facilities, aging of toilets, and aging of finishing materials, and 11 indicators on operational aspects such as energy usage and user satisfaction.

The downsizing of schools is accelerating due to a rapid decline in the school-age population, and as the crisis over regional and school disappearance increases, the need for smaller schools to respond to future educational needs is increasing. Through flexible curricula and digital/artificial intelligence-based classroom teaching improvements, students' satisfaction with school life, student creativity and character development, improved academic achievement, and strengthened cooperative communication capabilities will be observed, and teachers' teaching and learning methods will change. Educational effects such as these are important, and transforming school facilities into future-oriented spaces, including school space innovation, is required to accomplish them. This study examined the future of education systems in small schools, focusing on analyzing the educational effects and awareness of the sustainability of spatial innovation, in terms of school space changes, school education correlation, and smart environment, to develop innovation projects in small schools. A desirable direction for implementation is presented.

The world has been demanding a green growing world in order to solve serious environmental pollution and resource depletion. This study aims to identify life style factors that drive eco-friendly clothing practices and efficacy in middle school students. Data was collected from 215 middle school students in Daegu, using a self-administered questionnaire in December 2013. Statistical analyses to determine frequency, average, ANOVA, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis were performed using SPSS 21 program. The results of factor analysis indicated that eco-friendly clothing practices were classified into purchasing and management, reuse, washing, and recycle, and eco-friendly clothing practices efficacy was sub-grouped into practice confidence, purchasing and management efficacy, and washing and sharing efficacy, and life style consisted of fashion pursuit, environment pursuit, planned purchasing, and economy. Eco-friendly clothing practices and efficacy were significant differences in sex and grade (p<0.05). Eco-friendly clothing practices were significantly affected by the factors of environment pursuit, planned purchasing, economy of life style, and the factors of practice confidence, purchasing and management efficacy, and washing and sharing efficacy of eco-friendly clothing practices efficacy (p<0.05). The planned purchasing factor of life style significantly affected all the factors of eco-friendly clothing practices efficacy. This study suggests that eco-friendly clothing practices education program could account for the life style factors such as fashion pursuit, environment pursuit, planned purchasing, and economy with gender and grade to be effective for middle school students.

Since the introduction and operation of BF certification, a total of 6,432 certificates has been issued until February 2020, of which educational research facilities make 1,091 cases (754 preliminary certification, 337 main certification) out of 6,237 buildings, acquiring BF certification of about 20%. Qualitative evaluation is conducted with focus on the three items of BF-certified building evaluation index, which are medium facilities, internal facilities, and sanitary facilities, and major keywords are the deducted through the Text Mining analysis of the derived results. As a result, problems with access paths occurred in the case of the facilities, and assessment indicators for users were found to be necessary among the assessment of the steps of the internal facilities. Finally, we could see that sanitation facilities needed to improve toilets installed in residential development facilities. Based on the results obtained, the study seeks to suggest directions for improving the evaluation index required for BF-certified school facilities.

The attitude of Eco-friendly clothing is based on environmental awareness and Low-carbon green growth awareness. It can be developed through our education. I studied and analyzed the survey which targeted on highschool students whether the recognition of low-carbon green growth can be effected to the eco-friendly clothing attitude or not, and school education effect. The research shows the green growth recognition affects significantly to the eco-friendly clothing attitude. Also the study proves the education of green growth awareness and the eco-friendly clothing attitude informs the realizations of environmental and green growth concepts. The education of clothing habits affects our eco-friendly clothing attitude. Therefore this education is necessary for school curriculum and it must be expanded in any areas both in 'environment and green growth' course and 'home economics' courses in secondary education. The education of Eco-friendly clothing habit should be keep researched specifically and develop further and further.

The purpose of this study is to examine the previous literature in home economics and contents and achievement standards of 2009 revised curruculum in relation to character education. To achieve this purpose 1) the literature review in human development and family, self-management and consumption life, food, clothing, and housing life area is critically discussed in relation to character education, and 2) curriculum contents and achievement standards are analysed in relation to the six pillars(trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship) of character education proposed by Josephson Institute. The results of analysis are verified by five experts in home economics content areas. Specific results of relation between home economics contents/achievement standards and six elements of character education are as follows. Human development and family area is most closely related with all elements of character education among other content areas. In Self-management and consumption life areas, self-management sub-area is very closely related with responsibility element; and consumption life sub-area is very closely related with citizenship element. In food area, health diet and eating sub-area is very closely related with trustworthiness, respect, and responsibility elements; and eco-frendly diet and food sub-area is very closely related with all six elements. In clothing area, clothing and self-expression sub-area is very closely related with trustworthiness, caring, and citizenship elements; and eco-friendly clothing and clothing reform sub-area is very closely related with responsibility, caring, and citizenship elements. In hosing area, housing and living environment sub-area is very closely related with responsibility and caring elements; and sustainable living and decorating living space sub-area is very closed related with trustworthiness, fairness, and citizenship elements.

Various efforts are being made to live a Green life began to recognize an importance of eco-friendly living. In this paper, we have designed and implemented a mobile-based environmental keeping education service, which is offered well-defined category searching and environmental outreach related designed categories, for the purpose of supporting distribution of educational application. The implemented prototype system not only plays a function of environmental pollution report, related to simple environmental stewardship schemes, but also provides environmental monitoring service and integrated educational system supporting certified online volunteer activity. This study provides an one of famous methods to the youth for environmental monitoring education system based on mobile environments, and suggests an improvement to the environmental education for schools students.

This study was conducted to extract the student-centered experiential safety education activities in order to establish safety-experience-education-facilities based on "School safety education 7 standards" announced by the Ministry of Education in 2015. For this purpose, we established the concept of safety-experience-education-facilities, and conducted surveys twice targeting experts of each 7 fields based on the learned results of 758 sessions through "School safety education 7 standards". First, through the surveys, it was organized by 150 sessions out of 758 education class that extracted from safety-education-program sessions on experts, conducted a second expert survey for the validation of selected educational programs in Delphi format, the result of 5 sessions of the program is deleted, and 145 sessions was surveyed to be maintained. It was ascertained that 145 sessions of education program, 21 sessions of life safety area, 22 sessions of traffic safety area, 18 sessions of violence and personal safety area, 5 sessions of drugs and cyber addiction area, 36 sessions of disaster safety area, 10 sessions of occupation safety area, 33 sessions of first-aid area, is the experiential safety education activities that have to be applied to the safety-experience-education-facilities.

The purpose of this study is to identify trends and potential themes of research on consumption of children and adolescents for 20 years by analyzing keywords. The keywords of 869 studies on consumption of children and adolescents published in journals listed in Korean Citation Index were analyzed using text mining techniques. The most frequent keywords were found in the order of youth, youth consumers, consumer education, conspicuous consumption, consumption behavior, and character. As a result of analyzing the frequency of keywords by dividing into five-year periods, it was confirmed that the frequency of consumer education was significantly higher betwn 2006 and 2010. Research on ethical consumption has been active since 2011, and research has been conducted on various topics instead of without a prominent keyword during the most recent 5-year period. Looking at the keywords based on the TF-IDF, the keywords related to the environment and the Internet were the main keywords between 2001 and 2005. From 2006 to 2010, the TF-IDF values of media use, advertisement education, and Internet items were high. From 2011 to 2015, fair trade, green growth, green consumption, North Korean defector youths, social media, and from 2016 to 2020, text mining, sustainable development education, maker education, and the 2015 revised curriculum appeared as important themes. As a result of topic modeling, eight topics were derived: consumer education, mass media/peer culture, rational consumption, Hallyu/cultural industry, consumer competency, economic education, teaching and learning method, and eco-friendly/ethical consumption. As a result of network analysis, it was found that conspicuous consumption and consumer education are important topics in consumption research of children and adolescents.
