The purpose of this research is to meta-analyze on a comparative basis interventions for preventing falls by the elderly in their 70's and 80's in the eight countries. Eleven studies conducted by RCT were found via Medline in Ovid, PsychInfo and Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews. Use of Review Manager shows that interventions in the 70's group are effective (OR=0.65, 95%) but that those in the 80's group are not (OR=1.57, 95%). Furthermore, the effectiveness of the 70's treatment group is not durable. This paper has three policy implications: First, new intervention programmes for preventing falls by the 70's group should be developed toward increasing durability. Second, existing programmes for the 80's group should be amended to enhance effectiveness. Lastly, new programmes that include cognitive-behavioural components should be designed for elderly individuals suffering from mental diseases.

The purpose of this study was to identify nurses' communication style and the extent of their health literacy and to discern the impact of nurses' communication and health literacy on self-care behaviors, as perceived by elderly diabetic patients in comprehensive nursing-care service wards. This study provides basic data for establishing an efficient nursing-care service-system environment through high-quality self-management. The measurement and improvement of an accurate health literacy level of elderly diabetic patients is an important intervention method to increase the self-care behavior of patients. Therefore, by developing a distinguished nursing intervention plan, early treatment of diabetic patients and quality of care may be possible.

The purpose of this study is to type the necessary support services related to the employment of the elderly and to identify in-depth the relationship between the type of support services related to the employment of the elderly and factors that determine employment plans. Data provided by 182 small and medium-sized owners in Seoul A area were analyzed using latent profile analysis and logistic regression. As a result of the analysis, first, it was confirmed that the number of workers and the employment of the elderly were the factors that increased the probability of the elderly employment plans. Second, it was found that the "high-level group of necessary support services" is more likely to have plans to hire the elderly compared to other groups. Based on the results of the study, we would like to provide basic data regarding the direction of government support needed by private businesses to hire the elderly.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors influencing poverty in the elderly under the income maintenance, focusing on labor. Accordingly, a Panel Logit Analysis was conducted based on the 7th to 16th data of the Korean Welfare Panel. The analysis results are as follows. First, even if demographic, economic, and health variables affecting elderly poverty are controlled, National Pension and Special Occupational Pension among the income maintenance are negatively related to elderly poverty. On the other hand, it was found that the amount of Basic Pension and National Basic Living Security were positively related to poverty for the elderly. Second, it was found that if the elderly receiving national basic living security work, there is a high possibility of poverty. This raises the need to restructuring the Basic Pension, and suggests that it is necessary to combine the National Basic Living Security with the elderly job policy. Finally, in order to alleviate overall elderly poverty, it is suggested to rebuild the multi-pillar old-age income security system, including Basic Pension and Retirement Pension.

Korea is currently an aging society with a population of about 15 percent over the age of 65. Accordingly, the government is currently working on a number of measures. However, the problem that is rapidly increasing rather than decreasing is the traffic accident of the elderly. It has increased so much that we can check it out in multiple media right away. An average of 110 elderly people die or are injured in traffic accidents a day, or about 40,000 a year. The National Police Agency reported a 25 percent increase in elderly traffic accidents from five years ago. This paper analyzes traffic accidents of senior citizens through the Big Data analysis and R programming language to present the main causes of traffic accidents of senior citizens and areas where measures are needed to prevent them.

The purpose of this study is to provide evidences throught integrative review of non-pharmacological intervention studies for constipation in the elderly in Korea. Through the domestic search engines RISS and KISS, eleven studies were selected by searching for theses and academic journals published in Korea from 2010 to January 2023. According to the study result, relevant studies were 11, and non-pharmacological interventions included abdominal massage, foot massage, acupressure, moxibustion, lifestyle intervention, carbonated water intake, and complex therapy. Constipation, sleep quality, and depression were confirmed as effects of the intervention. However, there is no study confirming the quality of life related to constipation in the elderly, so it is necessary to develop and apply a non-pharmacological intervention program for constipation considering the quality of life of the elderly.

This study is an explorer study to investigate the experience of long term care hospital workers on the sexual behaviors of the elderly. The data were collected from August to October in 2019. The depth interview was implemented with using the semi structured questionnaires. The interview data collected from the participants were analyzed with using qualitative thematic analysis methods. The experience of long term care hospital workers regarding the elderly's sexual behaviors consisted of ten sub-categorized themes from the significant statements and was categorized into following four themes; 'Negative feelings related with elderlys' sexual behaviors', 'Difficulty of maintaining caring roles', 'Recognizing the absence of care for elderlys' sexual behavior', 'Accepting the therapeutic roles for elderlys' sexual behavior'. The findings could be the basic data for developing educational programs that help the long term care hospital workers understand the sexual behavior of the elderly.

Fashion exhibitions in museums and galleries is a form of fashion communication media. This thesis examines the messages, objects, and space of fashion exhibitions as fashion communication media as well as analyzes the method of fashion communication. This thesis first provides a theoretical study on fashion exhibition and conducts a case study of the 2012 Nora Noh Retro Exhibition La Vie en Rose (2012/5/23-6/2, Horim GNB Gallery, Seoul), dedicated to the first Korean female fashion designer. The message of the exhibition was the fashion philosophy and the fashion style of the designer as well as the intention of the curator. The objects presented were the dresses kept by the loyal customers of the brand, and the homage items by designers of present generation. The space designs of the exhibition were the layout and total coordination of the opening event. The methods of fashion communication for the fashion exhibition, in the case of the La Vie en Rose exhibition, were communicated (1) from the past to the present, (2) from designers to celebrities and (3) from the designer to the celebrity and the viewers. From the past to the present, the designer's style throughout the 60 years of her fashion career is conveyed to the present generation fashion people, in the form of homage designs and collaboration works. From designers to celebrities, her fashion philosophy was delivered in the form of movie and stage costumes. Some present generation celebrities tried reinterpretations of the garment. From the designer to the celebrity and the viewers of the exhibition, the intention of the curator and the designer were individualized and internalized by the viewers.

본 연구는 대구 섬유산업의 재구조화를 지역 내.외적 요인들의 관계적 관점에서 분석하고, 이에 기초하여 지역경제 발전전략의 정책적 함의를 도출하기 위해 수행되었다. 1970년대 이후 대구 섬유산업은 정부의 중화학공업 정책과 수출지향적 경제발전 정책에 힘입어 화학섬유 중심의 대량생산과 수출체제를 수립하였다. 노동력 공급의 부족현상이 나타남에 따라 노동력을 안정적으로 확보하기 위해 산업체 특별학급.부설학교와 섬유기술진흥원을 설립하였고 또한 기혼여성 노동력을 활용하기 시작하였다. 그리고 생산시설은 대구시 외곽지역에 집중적으로 입지하였다. 1980년대 중반 이후 대구 섬유산업은 국내.외 환경변화에 따라 구조전환을 시도하고 있다. 지역노동시장에서 저임금 노동력 확보가 어렵게 됨에 따라 자동섬유기계의 도입을 증대시키고 기혼여성과 외국인 노동력을 적극적으로 활용하고 있으며, 자본과 생산시설을 경북이나 해외로 이동시키고 있다. 대구 섬유산업의 재구조화 정책은 섬유업체간에 협력체제의 구축, 노.사공생의 노동제도 확립, 섬유업과 연관된 생산자 서비스업의 육성 등을 중심으로 추진되어야 할 것이다.
