Rigid-Plastic Finite Element Analysis of Axi-Symmetric Hydroforming with Controlled Pressure (유체압력이 제어되는 축대칭 하이드로포밍에 대한 강소성 유한요소 해석)

  • The study is concerned with the analysis of axisymmetric hydroforming with controlled pressure by the rigid-plastic finite element method. The finite element method is employed to obtain the detailed information including the distribution of stresses and strains and geometry changes. Experiments are carried out for hydroforming of cold-rolled steel sheets with the developed CNC hydroforming press which is pressure-controlled according to the fluid pressure vs.-stroke relationship given by the upper bound. Four types of punches are used for the experiments. The computed results are in good agreements with the experimental observation in geometric change and thickness variation. The present analysis permits the prediction of stresses, strains, geometric changes. The effects of Lankford value and workhardening exponent on thickness strains in hydroforming are also discussed. It is thus shown that the present method can be applied to the effective design of axisymmetric hydrooforming processes.

Effect of Cold Rolling on Fatigue Crack Propagation of TiNi/A16061 Shape Memory Composite (TiNi/A16061 형상기억복합재료의 피로균열진전에 대한 냉간압연효과)

  • TiNi alloy fiber was used to recover the original shape of materials using its shape memory effect. The shape memory alloy plays an important role within the metal matrix composite. The shape memory alloy can control the crack propagation in metal matrix composite, and improve the tensile strength of the composite. In this study, TiNi/A16061 shape memory alloy(SMA) composite was fabricated by hot press method, and pressed by a roller for its strength improvement. The four kinds of specimens were fabricated with $0\%,\;3.2\%,\;5.2\%\;and\;7\%$ and volume fraction of TiNi alloy fiber, respectively. A fatigue test has performed to evaluate the crack initiation and propagation for the TiNi/A16061 SMA composite fabricated by かis method. In order to study the shape memory effect of the TiNi alloy fiber, the test has also done under both conditions of the room temperature and high temperature. The relationship between the crack growth rate and the stress intensity factor was clarified for the composite, and the cold rolling effect was also studied.

  • In this paper, we design a H^\infty servo controller for gauge control of tandem cold mill. To improve the performance of the AGC(Aotomatic Gauge Control) system based on the Taylor linearized model of tandem cold mill, the H^\infty servo controller is designed to satisfy robust stability, disturbance attenuation and robust tracking properties. The H^\infty servo controller problem is modified as an usual H^\infty control problem, and the solvability condition of the H^\infty servo problem depends on the solvability of the modified H^\infty control problem. Since this modified problem does not satisfied standard assumptions for the H^\infty control problem, it is solved by an LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality) technique. Consequently, the comparison between the H^\infty servo controller and the existing PID/FF(FeedForward) controller shows the usefulness of this study.

  • 환경문제에 대한 관심으로 자동차에 대한 경량화가 요구되는 동시에 안전규제가 강화 되고 있어, 높은 인장강도를 가지는 고강도 강의 차체 적용 비율이 점차 증가하고 있다. 또한, 자동차 1대를 조립하기 위한 저항 점용접 횟수를 줄이고, 용접부에 충격안정성을 확보하기 위한 관심이 고조되고 있다. 따라서, 국내 자동차 산업에서 용접부의 신뢰성을 보장하기 다양한 비파괴 검사를 적용하고 있으며, 생산 공정에 적용하고 있다. 그중에서 용접 전극 사이에서 동저항(Dynamic resistance, 용접 공정중모재의 저항값의 변화)을 계측하여 용접성을 평가하는 방법이 제시되고, 차체 조립공정 중에 적용하려는 시도가 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 자동차 차체용 냉간 압연강판(590MPa dual-phase steel)을 인버터 DC 저항 점 용접하여, 용접전극 사이에서 동저항을 측정 하였다. 용접성은 인장전단 강도로 평가하였고, 용접 공정 변수는 용접 전류, 용접 시간, 가압력을 선정하였다. 동저항 그래프의 ${\alpha}$-peak와 ${\beta}$-peak값을 인장전단 강도에 따라 회귀 분석하여, 동저항에 따른 인장전단 강도를 예측하였다. 추가적으로, 용접부의 외관 형상 중에 압흔 깊이와 압흔자국 지름에 대한 회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 용접부 형상에 대한 신뢰성을 부여하였다.

강재의 압연유

  • 압정가공은 열간압정과 냉간압정으로 크게 나눌 수 있으며, 압정기와 피압정재의 종류에 따라 서도 분류한다. 열간압정에서는 알루미늄과 알루미늄합금을 제외하고는 종래에 오직 물만이 냉각겸 윤활제로 사용되어 왔다. 그러나 근년에 와서 열간압정에서도 윤활유를 사용하게 됨으 로서 롤(roll)의 수명연장, 전력소비량의 저감 및 사상(finishing) 강판의 표면품질향상등에 극히 유효하다는 것을 인식하게 되었다. 한편 냉각압정에서는 압정유를 사용해 온 것이 100년 가까이 되는 역사가 있고, 특히 과거 십 수년간에는 상당히 광범위하게 연구가 이루어져서, 많은 실적을 갖게 되었다. 예컨대, 석도원판으로 대표되는 박판압정에 있어서는 고속고압하에서 판의 형상 및 표면정쟁성 향상은 물론이고 저온(에너지 절감, 작업성 개선) 저농도사용(원단위감소)이 이루어 지고, 나아가 장수명(액의 오염이 적은 것)의 압정유가 개발되었다. 또한 마대강 압정에 있어 서는 고윤활이면서도 ECL(electric cleaning line)의 성략도 가능한 압정유 즉 밀크린시트(mill clean sheet) 압정유의 연구도 활발히 진행되고 있다. 압정유의 역할을 살펴보면 열간 또는 냉 간을 불문하고, 롤과 재료간의 감마작용이 주가 되지만 기타 실용적으로는 (1)냉각성 (2)판의 끝맺음(finishing)성 (3)선정선 (4)방장성,비부식성 (5) 내노화성 (6) 오일.스테인(oil stain) (7) 급 유성 (8)액관리성 (9)비수처리성 10) 안전위생 (11)경제성 등을 열거할 수 있다.

  • The main purpose of the present study has been placed on investigating the effects of controlled rolling and cooling on the microstructures and mechanical properties of C-Si-Mn-V steels for cold forming. The steels were manufactured in vacuum induction melting(VIM) furnace and casted to 1.1ton Ingots and the ingots were forged to $\Box150$ billet. The forged billets were reheated in walking beam furnace and rolled to coil, the stocks were rolled by Controlled Rolling and Cooling Technology (CRCT), so rolled at low temperature by water spraying applied in rolling stage and acceleratly cooled before coiling. Rolled coils were cold drawed to the degree of $27\%$ of area reduction without heat treatment. Microstructual observation, tensile test, compression test and charpy impact tests were conducted. The mechanical properties of the steels were changed by area reduction of cold drawing and it is founded that there are optimum level of cold drawing to minimize compression stress for these steels. From the result of this study, it is conformed that mechanical properties and microstructure of C-Si-Mn-V steels for cold forming were enhanced by accelerated cooling and founded optimum level of cold drawing.

A Study on Width Spread in 2-High Rolling of Rectangular Bars (각재의 냉간 2단 압연에 있어서의 폭 증가율에 관한 연구)

  • It was found that the effect of the friction between the roll and the workpiece on the spread ratio in flat rolling processes varies with the width-to-height ratio and the reduction in height by Tozawa, Oh and kobayashi numerically. In the present study, the barrelling profile accompanying the width spread was predicted by using the energy method proposed by Kato, which is known to be one of the most advanced method for the three dimensional analysis of the rolling process. The modified velocity field was applied to compute the width spread and the result was verified by experiments. the analysis by the energy method gave the result that the spread ratio increases with the friction factor when the width-to-height ratio is 1 and decreases when the ratio is larger then 2, being consistent with the results of Tozawa and Oh. Nevertheless the cold rolling experiment for pure aluminium showed that the spread ratio decreases with the increasing friction factor irrespective of the width-to-hight ratio.

  • 진공증착 및 이온플레이팅 방법을 이용하여 냉간 압연된 강판상에 알루미늄 피막을 형성시킨 후, 증발율 및 증기분포 변화를 측정하고 각 증착방법에서의 증발율에 따른 증기분포 변화를 비교 및 검토하였다. 본 실험에서의 이온플레이팅은 증발원 근처에 이온화전극을 설치하는 방법으로 고전류 아크 방전을 유도하여 $10^{-4}$ Torr 이하에서도 기존의 이온플레이팅에 비해 높은 이온화율을 얻을 수 있는 아크방전 유도형 이온플레이팅 (Arc-induced Ion Plating; AIIP) 방법을 이용하였다. 전자빔을 이용하면서 알루미나 크루시블을 사용하여 알루미늄을 증발시킬 경우 분당 $2.0{\mu}m$ 이상의 높은 증발율을 얻을 수 있었으며, 이온플레이팅의 경우 이온화된 증기의 상호작용에 따른 산란 효과로 증발율이 다소 낮아짐을 알 수 있었다. $cos^n\phi$로 이루어지는 증기분포의 결정인자(n)의 값이 진공증착의 경우는 1에 근접하는 것으로 나타났고 AIIP의 경우는 2 또는 그보다 더 큰 값으로 이루어지는 것을 확인하였다. 이로부터 이온플레이팅의 경우 불활성 가스의 존재 여부와 이온화율 또는 기판 바이어스 전압의 효과가 다른 조건에 비해 증기분포에 더 크게 영향을 미치는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

Residual Stress Variation by Isothermal and Isochronal Annealing in Cold Rolled Alloy 600 (냉간 압연된 Alloy 600에서 등온 및 등시 소둔에 의한 잔류응력의 변화)

  • In order to understand why annealing at $480^{\circ}C$ for several hour prevents the initiation of PWSCC, the residual stress variation with isothermal annealing at $480^{\circ}C$ and isochronal annealing between 480 and $800^{\circ}C$ in cold rolled Alloy 600 was investigated by the XRD method. The isothermal annealing decreased residual stress slightly in the rolling direction but not in the transverse direction, whereas the isochronal annealing for two hours increased residual stress. It seemed that the decrease in residual stress by isothermal annealing was due to lattice contraction by an ordering reaction because the isothermal annealing increased hardness. The effects of the isochronal annealing could be interpreted as the influence of thermal expansion and a disordering reaction.

A Study on the Electro Discharge Texturing Characteristics of the work Roll for Cold Rolling and Surface Roughgness of Steel Strip (냉간압연용 작업롤의 방전 조도가공 특성과 판 조도에 관한 연구)

  • This paper describes characteristics of EDT(Electro Discharge Texturing) and that the strip surface has influence on the paintability. The pulse mode and the capacitor mode of recently developed EDT method were investigated about the peak shape and the roughness of strip surface. And EDT method compared the above-mentioned contents with the SBT(Shot Blast Texturing) method. The peak count of the pulse mode is more than that of the capacitor mode. But the lower roughness below the Ra 3.2 .mu. m of the strip surface, the texturing time of the pulse mode is longer than the capacitor mode. In SBT method, the peak shape is similar to capacitor mode. But the EDT roll has more uniformity than the SBT roll and has more peak count than that of SBT roll. Therefore, in the painted steel sheet, EDT roll gives better surface of clarity image than the SBT roll.
