실험에는 60 Hz, 35 kW(700 V, 50 A)의 power supply가 사용되었다.
Separation of oily wastewater, which is a byproduct of various industries such as petroleum refineries, is essential to not exceed the tolerance limit of wastewater streams. Ceramic membranes show potential in oily wastewater separation, due to their excellent oil removal efficiency, good chemical, thermal, and mechanical stability, and simple operation. However, widespread application of ceramic membranes is limited due to high material cost of alumina, silica, and other ceramic based materials used to fabricate them. Recent efforts to reduce material cost have been made, using fly ash and clay. This review examines the fabrication and efficiency of ceramic membranes in oily wastewater separation according to material: silica, alumina, and waste ash.
Graphene oxide (GO) has been considered as a promising membrane material, because of its easy processability and distinct properties, including controllable pore size distribution and diffusion channels. Particularly, the feasibility has been proposed a number of simulation results and proof-of-concept experimental approaches towards GO membranes. That is, GO already shows many outstanding intrinsic properties suitable for promising membrane platforms, such as the minimum membrane thickness and the ability to generate nanopores in the two-dimensional lattices or to create slit-like nanochannels between adjacent sheets. This review will be addressed the important experimental development in GO-based membranes for gas and ion separations, emphasizing on intrinsic transport phenomena, and critical issues for practical applications.
In this review, surface modification methods of hydrophobic poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE) membrane are introduced and their improved hydrophilicity results are discussed. Fluoropolymer based membranes, represented by PTFE membranes have been used in various membrane separation processes, including membrane distillation, oil separation and gas separation. However, despite excellent physical properties such as chemical resistance, heat resistance and high mechanical strength, the strong hydrophobicity of PTFE membrane surface has become a challenging factor in expanding its membrane separation application. To improve the separation performance of PTFE membranes, wet chemical, hydrophilic coating, plasma, irradiation and atomic layer deposition are applied, modifying the surface property of PTFE membranes while maintaining their inherent properties.

The surge in FRP(Fiber Reinforced Plastic) research signifies the industry's pursuit to counteract the longstanding issue of rebar corrosion. Notably, Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic(CFRP) emerges as a commendable alternative, given its superior resistance to both corrosion and chemical interactions, thus positing itself as a potential replacement for traditional steel rebars. However, the layered composition of fibers and resin in CFRP flags a notable susceptibility to elevated temperatures. Despite its promise, comprehensive studies elucidating the full spectrum of CFRP properties remain ongoing. In this investigative study, we meticulously assessed the bond strength of CFRP post-exposure to high thermal conditions. Our findings underscored a parity in bond strength amongst silica sand-coated CFRP, rib-type CFRP, and Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic(GFRP).

On the basis of our previous research results concerning a batch Teflon coating process on the surface of basalt fiber which has superior fire-resistance and chemical resistance, we have tried to set up suitable operating conditions for continuous polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) coating process. The basalt fiber was continuously pre-treated with 7.5 wt%(6.5% of DPU) of triethoxytrifluoropropylsilane(TMTFPS) and then coated with 20 wt% of PTFE dispersions containing 0.25 wt% of penetrating agent sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)sulfo succinate (DOS-Na) to get the highest tensile and loop strengths. After dipping process, the PTFE coated basalt fiber was dried under 2 m drying chamber at $120^{\circ}C$ with 12 m/min of winding speed and consequently sintered under 2 m sintering chamber at $380^{\circ}C$ for 40 s. Conclusively, PTFE coated basalt fiber whose tensile and loop strengths were to $3.4g_f/D$ and $2.3g_f/D$, respectively, applicable to high temperature sewing thread could be continuously prepared with our pilot scale process under optimum conditions.

Structures requiring chemical resistance are usually coated with surface protecting agents, but the cost for maintenance and re-construction is incurred due to the low durability. Therefore, in this study, sulfur was polymerized and the performance was examined so that it could be used as the concrete surface protecting agents for structures requiring chemical resistance. The evaluation results indicated that for the spray of the sulfur polymer surface coating agents, the application of the gravity type was appropriate; and for the number of coating times, about 3 cycle spray gave the best results. For the surface condition of the concrete to be coated with the surface protecting agents, outstanding quality was obtained above room temperature ($20{\sim}30^{\circ}C$), and the bond strength increased as the temperature increased. The evaluation results of the strength characteristics depending on the filler content of the surface protecting agents indicated that about 20~40% filler mixing contributed to the strength improvement as it reduced the shrinkage of the sulfur polymer. Also, the mixing of silica showed larger increase in the bond strength than the mixing of fly ash, and the most outstanding bond strength characteristics could be obtained by the mixing of both silica and fly ash. In the case of the chemical resistance, the strength reduction was minimized and outstanding chemical resistance was obtained when the fly ash and silica were substituted by 20%, respectively. The performance evaluation of the chloride ion penetration indicated that for the specimens coated with the sulfur polymer surface protecting agents, the chloride ion penetration resistance increased by 29~48% compared to the specimen without the coating of the surface protecting agent. The examination of the coating condition of the surface protecting agents, compressive strength, bond strength, chemical resistance, and salt damage resistance indicated that in the range of this study, the optimal level was when the silica and fly ash were substituted by 20%, respectively, as the filler for the sulfur polymer.

Waterborne polyurethane dispersions (PUD) were synthesized from isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI), polycarbonate diol (PCD) and dimethylol propionic acid (DMPA) as starting materials. Subsequently, waterborne polyurethane-acrylic hybrid solutions were prepared by reacting the PUD with different amounts of the mixture of acrylate monomers, HEMA (2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) and MMA (methyl methacrylate). As a result, the average particle size of waterborne polyurethane-acrylic hybrid solutions was increased with increasing the addition amounts of acrylate monomers. Also, the prepared coating films from waterborne polyurethane-acrylic hybrid solutions showed better abrasion resistance and chemical resistance than those of pure PUD.

This study ascertained the possibility of use of sulfur abstracted from waste sulfur as a construction material through modification process and manufacturing high efficiency modification sulfur with superior quality on dispersibility and hydrophilic in normal temperature. Mechanic, behavior and chemical durability of mortar with added modification sulfur. The results of the study are as follows. The fluidity of mortar mixed with modification sulfur and compressive strength decreased as ratio of mixing of them increases. Flexural, tensile and bond strength of the mortar are also improved and shrinkage of it increases. Especially chemical durability of the mortar showed excellent resistance with the increase of ratio of mixing. Therefore this research has confirmed the modification sulfur can be used as a addmixture for cement.
In this study, the long-term performance tests, which have extensibility, creep deformation, installation resistance and durability characteristic, is conducted to apply geosynthetic strip in field. The strength reduction factors using the test results are evaluated in order to calculate long-term design tensile strength. First, the creep deformation was evaluated by both the stepped isothermal method(SIM) and the time-temperature superposition(TTS) method. The creep reduction factor is reasonable to apply 1.6. Second, the result of installation damage test had little damage of yarn, which affected strength of reinforcement. Therefore, it can be analyzed that the installation damage of geosynthetic strip has little effect of long-term design tensile strength. Finally, the durability reduction factor considering chemical, biological and outdoor exposure resistance is reasonable to apply 1.1, which is considered the stability and economic efficiency of reinforced earth wall using geosynthetic strip.
