A Study on Fire Resistance Using The Scale Experiments (축소실험을 통한 내화시험에 관한 연구)

  • 국내에서는 방화구획을 설정하여 화재 확산 방지 및 재실자의 대피 시간을 확보하고 있다. 방화구획에 설치되는 방화문은 방화문의 내화시험방법(KS F 2268-1)에 따라 시험을 거쳐 성적서를 발급 받은 제품에 대해 설치하도록 의무화 하고 있다. 그러나 본 시험방법은 시험체 제작, 설치 및 의뢰시험비용 등 상당한 비용이 소요될 뿐 아니라 제작, 설치, 시험에 소요되는 시간 또한 길다. 축소실험장치는 목재방화문 개발 중 재료의 내화성능을 평가할 장치로 개발되었으며, 표준시간-가열 온도곡선을 상회하는 가열실험을 통해 재료의 내화성능 결과를 얻을 수 있다. 본 실험에서는 난연 또는 불연성능이 뛰어난 재료를 대상으로 실험하였으며, 그 결과 난연목재는 5분, 마그네슘보드와 내화 직물원단은 60분의 내화성능을 갖춘 것으로 확인되었다. 이 결과를 토대로 방화문의 내화시험방법과 상관성을 도출하여 목재방화문 개발의 지표로 활용 가능하게 되었다.

The Evaluation of Fire-Resistant Performance of the Non-bearing Steel Wall Using Fire Resistant Glass (내화유리를 적용한 강재 유리벽의 내화성능 평가)

  • Fireproof structures using concrete, built-up panels and dry walls are usually used in walls inside fire compartments. However, demand for glass walls is emerging due to increase in interest in visibility and external appearance. In this study on steel fire resistance walls using insulation glass, fire resistance tests and performance evaluations were conducted on 60 minute fire resistance walls and exterior walls which could be applied to interior fire compartments and 90 minute fire resistance walls which could be applied to curtain walls. According to the tests, the specimens satisfied the required fire resistance performance. The finite element analysis was conducted after the tests to evaluate the fire resistance performance of the glass walls. The analysis results showed that the preliminary evaluation of fire resistance performance would be feasible.

  • 국내에서 최초로 장스팬 프리플렉스 합성보에 대한 내화성능을 평가하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 내화성능평가는 재하시험과 비재하시험을 대상으로 하였으며, 콘크리트 폭렬의 영향성과 뿜칠피복재의 단열효과에 의한 성능확보 요인을 분석하였다. 본 논문은 국내 최장 합성보의 내화구조 인정신청에 따른 성능확인 결과이며, 향후 다양한 합성보 개발에 참고가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

A Study on the Refractory Performance Verification of the Thermal Insulators for AES Ducts and Piping (AES 계열 덕트·배관 단열재의 내화성능 검증에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: To enhance the non-combustibility of fire protection piping insulation and improve the heat resistance of smoke extraction duct insulation, I plan to verify the suitability of AES insulation materials for these applications through performance testing. Method: The non-combustibility, heat resistance, and thermal insulation performance of AES insulation materials will be verified through various tests. Result: According to the 'Standards for Flame Retardancy and Fire Spread Prevention of Building Finishing Materials,' the results of non-combustibility and gas toxicity tests confirmed the non-combustible properties. The standard fire resistance tests verified the fire resistance performance. Additionally, the thermal insulation performance was confirmed through building insulation tests. Conclusion: As the performance tests on AES inorganic insulation materials have proven their noncombustibility, fire resistance, and thermal insulation performance, these materials are considered a viable alternative for improving fire spread prevention in buildings.

An Experimental Study on the Ensuring the Fire Resistance Performance of Non-Refractory Coating CFT (무내화피복 CFT 공법의 내화성능 확보를 위한 실험적 연구)

  • In this study, tests were carried out to find out a method to ensure the fire resistance performance of high-performance non-refractory coating CFT columns. For the high performance concrete fabrication with 100MPa, blast furnace slag(BS) and steel and nylon fibers were used. It was found that the partial replacement with BS improved the fire resistance performance of the concrete. Based on the results of lab tests, the large fire test was conducted. For this test, the CFTs with the size of ${\phi}500{\times}4,200mm$ and the reinforcement of SS 400 steel were prepared and they were subjected to a loading condition. It was found that as the level of load increased, the level of fire resistance decreased. For example, In with the loading condition of 2000kN the CFT could resist the fire for over 240 minutes, whereas, with the loading condition of 3,000kN and 4000kN applying to equivalent CFTs, the resisting time against fire were 184 minutes, and 120 minutes, respectively.

  • 내화구조는 건축물의 주요 구조부재에 대한 화재안전성을 평가하는 것으로, 국제적으로 내화시험 방법은 실제 건축물과 동일하게 부재에 하중을 가한 상태에서 내화시험을 하도록 ISO 등 국제규격에서는 제시하고 있다. 하지만 국내에서는 건축물의 기둥 및 보에 대하여는 대부분 비재하 시험으로 내화구조를 평가하고 있다. 이는 국제적인 성능평가 방법과도 차이가 있을 뿐만 아니라 실제 건축물 구조부재의 조건과도 차이가 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 내화구조 재하성능평가 기준 개선을 위하여, 국내외 내화성능평가기준에 대하여 고찰하고 이를 통하여 내화구조 인정제도 개선을 위한 기초연구자료를 제시하고자 한다.

Fire Resistance of U-shape Hybrid Composite Beam (신형상 U형 하이브리드 합성보의 내화성능에 관한 연구)

  • This paper aims to experimentally investigate the fire resistance of U-shaped hybrid composite beams protected by spay and paint insulations. Subjected to two and three hours of the Standard ISO fire, the flexural performance of 4.4m beams with/without imposed loadings was examined with respect to failure criteria such as deflection and deflection rate of the mid-span and temperatures measured in the steel section. The results demonstrated that the proposed configuration of the composite beam is able to achieve a very competitive 3-hour fire resistance rating in economical aspects.

  • 방화댐퍼는 방화구획을 관통하는 덕트에 설치되어 화염의 전파 및 연소확대를 방지하도록 하는 방화설비로서 '건축물의 피난 방화구조 등의 기준에 관한 규칙'에서 구조 및 시험기준에 대해서 규정하고 있으나, 정해진 성능기준이 없으며 방화설비에 있어 가장 중요한 내화성능에 대해서 언급이 없는 등 개정이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 방화댐퍼의 'KS F2840(방화댐퍼의 내화시험방법)'시험에 대해서 소개하고, 방화댐퍼의 내화시험 사례를 통해 성능 평가방법으로서의 적용 타당성을 검토하였다.

  • Tunnel structures are constructed even longer and more extensive these days than they were in the past. Because of this reason, breaking out a large scale of fire in tunnel structures is frequently. Recently, a noticeable event is reported that the temperature of inside of tunnel rises significantly when an oil car detonated in the tunnel and it reached 1,350$^{\circ}$C. It did damage to people who used the tunnel at that time and caused many demaged parts of tunnel to recover. To improve a fire resistance of tunnel, many methods are studied focused refractory concrete and mortar. This study deals with refractory mortar and is a part of initial basic step. In this study mechanical properties are considered before fire resistance test. As result of test for examination of mechanical properties, it is considered that a consistency and strength of refractory mortar in this study are suitable to construct.

Development of Vermiculite Board to Secure the Fire Resistance Performance of Light-Frame Wood Structural Wall (경골목구조 벽체의 내화성능확보를 위한 질석보드 개발)

  • It is considered that vermiculite as an inorganic material is highly effective when it is used as a building finishing material because it is eco-friendly. Vermiculite has excellent properties such as fire resistance, heat insulation, sound absorption as well as prevention of condensation, deodorization and aesthetics. In this study, we developed a finishing board with vermiculite as its main material and mixed with mineral loose wool (VB-L) or mineral powder (VB-P), and conducted fireproof test and insulation test. In addition, fire resistance tests were carried out by applying the two developed vermiculite boards as finishing materials for the standard wall details of light frame wood structures (KS F 1611-1). As a result of the fire resistance test, the VB-L specimen showed better fire resistance than the VB-P specimen. Both vermiculite boards showed sufficient fire resistance performance of 2 hours for a thickness of 30 mm.
