Comparison of curriculum between various countries is a major research method for studying a course and content quoted on Korea's national curriculum. Therefore this research focuses on comparing and analyzing a new curriculum which Australia has announced on 2012 and conducting since 2015. From this research result, we found that Australia's curriculum achievement shows some unique characteristics. Such examples can be dealing a concept with real life context and proposing a mathematical content specifically. Also they introduce the definite integral by defining to the sum of series. There are other characteristics such as modelling motion, and numerical integration which Korea's highschool curriculum achievement doesn't deal with, and the content of vector calculus is handled more deeply. As a result of analyzing Australia's textbook, it fully deals with the supplementary notion to help understand mathematical definition. Hence further research will be needed later on to relieve the aspect of cognitive burden on Korean learners.
The contents of fraction division in textbooks are important because there were changes in situations and problem solving methods in textbooks according to the revision of the curriculum and the contents of textbooks affect students' learning directly. So, this study analyzed the achievement standards of the curriculum and formula types and situations, and the introduction process of non-standard and standard algorithms presented in Korean mathematics textbooks. The results are follows: there was little difference in the achievement standards of the curriculum, but there was a difference in the arrangement of contents by grades in textbooks. There was a difference in the types of formula according to textbooks. And the situation became more diverse; recent textbooks have changed to the direction of using the non-standard and the standard algorithm in parallel. In conclusion, I proposed categorizing rather than splitting the types of fraction division, the connection of non-standard and standard algorithm, and the need to prepare methods to pursue generalization and justification according to the common characteristics in the process of introducing standard algorithm.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the chemistry curriculum between Korea and New Zealand. Both countries state that they want to cultivate their key competencies through the curriculum, and Korea' key competencies are similar to New Zealand'. Also, we find a strong correlation between key competencies of Korea science and achievement aims of the nature of science in New Zealand. Specially, the achievement standards that cultivate the key competencies are presented separately in New Zealand curriculum and NCEA, and confirms the achievement level through internal evaluation. By comparison, the curriculum content for chemistry is a good fit because of the overlap in the content. The Chemistry I is in the 7th level of New Zealand curriculum and the Chemistry II is in the 7th and 8th levels of New Zealand. However, there are some differences in hydrocarbon, ideal gas equation, colligative property and understanding of spectroscopic data.
In Korea where there is the national curriculum and teachers depend highly on textbooks, the school mathematics is based on curriculum and textbooks. Especially considering responsibility that textbooks should reflect the curriculum properly, it is necessary to analyze the connection of mathematics curriculum and textbooks in order to review and improve the quality of our mathematics education. This research analyzes the connection of curriculum and textbooks for 5~6 grades and aims to have some implications for revision of the textbooks when application of elementary mathematics textbooks based on the 2009 revised national curriculum is completed to all grades. Following the preceding research for 1~2 and 3~4 grades, this research sets 5~6 grades as a subject of analysis and has four contents of analysis; analysis of textbooks based on restructured achievement criteria, analysis of connections between unit objectives of textbooks and the reconstructed achievement criteria, analysis of textbooks related to mathematical terms and symbols, and analysis of textbooks related to mathematical process. The result of analysis has some implications to develop textbooks based on the 2015 revised national curriculum.

Energy as a powerful and unifying concept to understand natural world has been regarded as one of the key concepts of the science curricula in many countries. However, concerning learning and teaching of energy, various difficulties have been reported widely. This study aimed at analyzing and comparing science curricula of Korea, the U.S., England, and Singapore regarding energy to identify the potential issues for energy curriculum in the future. 2015 revised Korean science curriculum, Next Generation Science Standards of the U.S., Science programmes of study of England, and the Science syllabus of Singapore were compared based on six basic elements of the concept of energy: energy form, energy resource, energy transfer, energy transformation, energy conservation, and energy dissipation. Achievement criteria that include energy were extracted from all curricula and categorized into the six elements. The frequency and distribution of the six elements in the four curricula were compared in terms of school levels and disciplinary areas. Contents of six energy elements were also compared. Though all curricula emphasized energy as a key science concept, we found many differences in the degree of emphasis of basic ideas and specific contents and approaches. Korean curriculum is characterized by 1) high frequency concerning energy form among the elements of the concept of energy, 2) introducing energy forms of unclear meaning, which are not linked with other physical quantities, 3) emphasis on energy conversion in comparison of energy transfer, 4) focusing on mechanical energy conservation instead of more general energy conservation, and 5) absence of the concept of 'system' concerning energy. Issues for energy curriculum development were discussed.

In order to cultivate human resources to live in the 4th industrial revolution era, software (SW) education became mandatory in the 2015 revised curriculum. Furthermore the science mathematics informatics education promotion law was enacted to emphasize the importance of software convergence education. Therefore, it is necessary to study how to converge and educate mathematics and science with software education to solve problems in real life and various disciplines. This study is to find the directions and effectiveness of software convergence education through content analysis of the software mathematics science convergence teaching and learning materials, which are recently developed and distributed by the Ministry of Education et al. The results of this research are expected to suggest implications to future researches about software, mathematics and science convergence education.

This study compared the perceptions of novice teachers and expert teachers on software education in the 2015 revised curriculum. Awareness comparisons were assessed by questionnaire for priorities for field support, activities for professional development, organizational hours, achievement criteria statements, and appropriateness for textbooks introduced only in 6th grade. In all questions, there was a difference in recognition between the two groups. In particular, novice teachers were '' appropriate '' in terms of organizational hours, achievement criteria, and textbooks introduced only in 6th grade. Expert teachers, on the other hand, were inadequate. In addition, as a result of analyzing the key keywords of free-response opinions about the introduction of educational robots in the curriculum and textbooks, positive keywords were obtained for both groups. However, novice teachers showed passive and passive keywords such as 'support', 'difficulty', and 'problems', and expert teachers showed differences in their educational utilization after introducing 'utilization' and 'education'.
This study aimed to analyze the changes in the physics curriculum of elementary schools over the past years and to discuss the issues faced by the science curriculum for elementary education prior to the next curriculum revision. We analyzed changes in the elements of the contents from the 7th curriculum to the 2015 revised curriculum and reviewed studies conducted after the revision in 2015. Additionally, three professors majoring in physics education discussed the results of the curriculum analysis. The result indicates that content of the physics curriculum for elementary education was generally reduced after the 7th curriculum. Specifically, difficult concepts were omitted or designated to a higher school level. Concerns related to the science curriculum pertain to the content adequacy and difficulty of the current curriculum, its relationship with mathematics, connection between the Nuri curriculum and the integrated curriculum for the 1st and 2nd grades, and the achievement standard predicate problem.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the share of global citizenship education in the 2009 Revised Social Studies (geography area) School Curriculum of the Republic of Korea. I selected the achievement standards of the geography domain in the fifth and sixth grades as the subjects of analysis. The chosen subjects were examined using content analysis: I used KrKwic, a Korean language content analysis tool, to analyze the content and drew a semantic network of the analysis results using UciNet/NetDraw. I found that the geography domain of the 2009 Revised Primary School Curriculum included the concepts of and factors of global citizenship education. However, global citizenship education did not account for a major portion of the curriculum, and the curriculum achievement standards were noticeably nation-state centered. Global citizenship education factors were not closely associated with to other related factors in fact, they even revealed a isolated pattern. These findings suggest that the inclusion of global citizenship education in primary geography education is limited, because the connections between global citizenship education and related contents, such as the environment, sustainable development, conflict, and cooperation, are probably impeded. Globalization accompanies the transformation of territories, identities, and the relations between nation-states and the world, although nation-states continue to play a significant role in the globalized worlds. Therefore global citizenship education, a educational trend focusing on the global community, is particularly important and is required in the geography curriculum of the global era. I expect that the examination undertaken in this study to contribute to future curriculum revisions regarding globalizatin and global citizenship.
