Contents and Organization of Geographic Education in Social Studies Curriculum-A Comparative Case Study of U.S. and Korea (한.미 지리교육의 내용과 조직 비교)

  • 본 연구는 지리교육의 내용 선정과 조직에 대한 기초 연구로써, 우리나라 제 7차 사회과 규과정에서 명시하고 있는 지리교육의 방향, 내용 및 조직을 분석하고 뉴욕주의 2000년 에 제시된 그것과 비교하였다. 우리나라와 미국의 지리교육의 내용과 조직에 대한 연구는 양국의 교육과정 개발 관점에 대한 분석과 더불어 현대 사회에서 교과로써 경쟁력을 갖춘 지리교육의 방향 및 지리적 지식의 성격에 대한 논의를 바탕으로 한다. 뉴욕주의 지리교육은 <기본으로의 복귀> 분위기 속에서 지리교육에서 학습해야 할 6가지 핵심 요소를 추출하고 그에 따라 내용을 체계화한 반면 우리 나라의 경우 한국과 세계의 지역지리, 계통 지리의 내용을 나열적으로 학습하도록 하였다. 그러나 백과사전식 내용 구성은 정보화 사회에서 지리교육의 역할을 스스로 축소시키고 지리교육에 대한 학생의 관심과 흥미를 감소시키는 결과를 초래한다. 미국 뉴욕주의 지리 내용과 조직은 우리나라 지리교육과정의 내용 구성 방향에 많은 시사점을 줄 수 있다. 지리교육의 생장력을 키우기 위한 지리 내용은 현대 사회 및 학습자의 요구와 지리학의 경향과 쟁점에 근거하여 그 핵심 요소가 선정되어야 하고, 지역적 방법과 계통적 방법을 적절하게 결함시켜 역동적이고 흥미있게 조직되어야 한다.되어야 한다.

A Study of Computational Literature Analysis based Classification for a Pairwise Comparison by Contents Similarity in a section of Tokkijeon, 'Fish Tribe Conference' (컴퓨터 문헌 분석 기반의 토끼전 '어족회의' 대목 내용 유사도에 따른 이본 계통 분류 연구)

  • This study aims to identify the family and lineage of a part of a "Fish Tribe Conference" in the section Tokkijeon by utilizing computer literature analysis techniques. First of all, we encode the classification for a pairwise comparison's type of each paragraph to build a corpus, and based on this, we use the Hamming distance to calculate the distance matrix between each classification for a pairwise comparison's. We visualized classification for a pairwise comparison's clustering pattern by applying multidimensional scale method, and hierarchical clustering to explore the characteristics of the 'fish family' line and lineage compared to the existing cluster analysis study on entire paragraphs of "Tokkijeon". As a result, unlike the cluster analysis of the entire paragraph of "Tokkijeon", which consists of six categories, the "Fish Tribe Conference" section has five categories and some classification for a pairwise comparison's accesses. The results of this study are that the relative distance between Yibon was measured and systematic classification was performed in an objective and empirical way by calculation, and the characteristics of the line of the fish family were revealed compared to the analysis of the entire rabbit exhibition.

High School Students in Natural Science Track and Engineering Major University Students'Perceptions on Writing and Composition Education (자연계 고등학생과 공학 전공 대학생의 글쓰기 교육에 대한 인식)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate high school students in natural science track and engineering major university students' perceptions about the writing and composition education. A total of 318 high school students in natural science track from two high schools in a metropolitan area and 447 university students majoring in engineering from three universities participated in the survey and asked to response their perceived status and needs of writing education for science-engineering track. The survey instrument, developed by Lee et al.(2009), was used for this study. The data was analyzed through the SPSS 18.0 program for Windows for Multiple Response Frequency Analysis, Descriptive Statistics, Independent Samples t-test, and One-way Analysis of Variance. The results indicated that high school students relatively perceived that writing education was less necessary compared to university students. In addition, high school students found writing less difficult than university students do. In related to studying their experience with writing and composition education, almost no high school students have taken writing classes and university students have taken an average of one class. Most university students who took writing classes took basic writing classes that were not programmed for students in Science and Engineering. In the basic survey to revitalize writing and composition education for Science and Engineering students in different majors, the level of writing and composition education required by students in each major was different. Writing was considered most necessary for students majoring in Chemical Engineering, followed by students majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Engineering. The study of writing and composition education for high school and college should extend to studies on teachers or professors who teach writing, studies on contents and methods of writing education, and studies on the development of writing programs for different majors in university.

A Study on the Development and Application of Cryptography Teaching Program for Vocational High School Mathematics (상업 정보 계열 고등학교 암호 교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a contents when we are going to introduce cryptography and information security for vocational high school students. For this we do a survey of the students' level for understanding of information security and the 7th curriculum for school mathematics, 2007 revised curriculum for school mathematics, the curriculum for vocational high school, and we search for the material that connects between mathematics subjects and vocational subjects. We develop a text book that introduces information security and cryptography. After we teach vocational high school students by using this developed book, we get the result that learning cryptography with computer programming makes a good motivation of learning mathematics and roles a parameter between mathematics curriculum and vocational curriculum. As a result we propose that the developed contents can be used in 'Practical Mathematics' in the 7th curriculum for school mathematics or 'Application of Mathematics' in 2007 revised curriculum for school mathematics.

A Study on the Difficulties of Pre-service Mathematics Teachers in the Discrete Mathematics Learning (예비 수학교사들이 이산수학 학습에서 겪는 어려움 분석)

  • This study aims to improve teacher education by analyzing the causes and backgrounds of which pre-service mathematics teachers experience learning difficulties on the topic of discrete mathematics. To this end, we conducted a questionnaire and an evaluation on the topic of discrete mathematics, and the obtained data were analyzed. The results show that (1) pre-service mathematics teachers need to share their perceptions of the need for discrete mathematics education; (2) a review of the adequacy of the discrete mathematical content and its credits are required; (3) the causes of their learning difficulties need to be looked at from a different perspective than the learning factors. And two implications were obtained. First, it is necessary to study the systematicity and sequence of content elements of discrete mathematics in the aspect of its continuity of curriculum of secondary school and university. Second, it is required consideration for adjusting the ratio of discrete mathematics to secondary teachers' employment examination.

  • 본 연구논문의 내용은 현재 국내 자동차 업계에서 자동차 배기부품으로 전량 수입되고 있는 STS 409L 스테인레스강을 국산화하기 위한 개발연구에 대한 내용으로서 배기관용 스테인레스강 409L의 제조기술과 관련된 국내외 기술개발 동향과 포항제철 스테인레스 제조설비에 맞는 적정합금성분계와 조업조건을 도출하기 위하여 실험적으로 시험조사하여 품질 제특성을 평가한 연구결과이다. 주요 내용으로서 합금원소가 열연 및 냉연 소둔조업조건에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여, C, N과 Ti 또는 Ti+Nb 원소 첨가를 변화시킨 409L 계열강에 있어서 소둔조업조건에 따른 재결정과 상변태 거동을 조사하엿으며, TIG용접에 의한 용접부의 기계적 특성과 가공성 그리고 고온부식 및 응축수 부식 시험을 통한 내식성 등의 품질 특성 평가를 조사 서술하였다.

  • This thesis investigated basic thinking of Pansori reading text appearance. Among Pansori reading texts, it is versions include unfamiliar contents and scenes in text. They was created by writers of Pansori reading text. Why created a writers of Pansori reading text them? First, writers of Pansori reading text created new contents and scenes in order to show their knowledge. Reading texts of this feature are 28pages version Chunhyangjun belonged to Kim Kwang-sun, 87pages version Chunhyangjun belonged to Sa Jae-dong, 154pages version Chunhyangjun belonged to Hong Yun-pyo etc. This reading texts was effected on knowledge culture of Chosun later period. Second, writers of Pansori reading text created new contents and scenes in order to reenact festivities field. Reading texts of this feature are 75pages version Chunhyangjun belonged to Kyungsang university, 52pages version Chunhyangjun belonged to Keimyung university etc. the former shows story field and Pansori field, the latter shows play field of Walja. Third, writers of Pansori reading text created new contents and scenes in order to lampoon yangban authority. Reading texts of this feature are 72pages version Chunhyangjun belonged to Chungnam university and it's affiliation, 59pages version Chunhyangjun belonged to Park Sun-ho and it's affiliation etc.

  • Traditionally, the university mathematics has consisted of contents without consideration of the students' major and state of students' academic achievement. Even though this kind of policy seems to be good overall, there are some drawbacks because it does not give much consideration to the current system of entrance examinations and change of society. Hence we are required to classify contents of general university mathematics according to particular majors and colleges. Furthermore, we need to adjust the difficulty level of contents according to the appropriate level of academic need and standard.

The Awareness of Dental Hygiene Students on the Dental Hygiene Curriculums (치위생(학)과 학생의 치과위생사 양성 교육과정에 관한 인식)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the awareness of dental hygiene students on the components of the dental hygiene curriculum. The subjects in this study were 934 dental hygiene students, on whom a survey was conducted in April and Jun, 2009. The collected data were analyzed by the statistical package PASW 18.0. The findings of the study were as follows: The students from the midsection of the nation put the highest value on educational objectives, selection of what to teach and evaluation, and the students from the metropolitan area set the lowest value on those components. The students who took junior college courses took a better view of those components than those who took college courses. In terms of the organization of what to teach, the students from the midsection of the nation rated it highest, and the students from the Honam area rated it lowest. And those who took college courses took a little better view of it than the students who took junior college courses. Among the components of the curriculum, the educational objective factor was rated higher in terms of vocational education, morality and ethics, and that was rated lower in terms of creativity. The selection of what to teach was rated higher in terms of learning possibility and was rated lower in terms of content validity and relevance. The organization of what to teach was rated highest in terms of continuity, followed by sequence and integration. The educational evaluation factor was rated higher in the area of school evaluation and was rated lowest in the area of national examinations.

Design of Artificial Intelligence Course for Humanities and Social Sciences Majors

  • This study propose to develop artificial intelligence liberal arts courses for college students in the humanities and social sciences majors using the entry artificial intelligence model. A group of experts in computer, artificial intelligence, and pedagogy was formed, and the final artificial intelligence liberal arts course was developed using previous research analysis and Delphi techniques. As a result of the study, the educational topics were largely composed of four categories: image classification, image recognition, text classification, and sound classification. The training consisted of 1) Understanding the principles of artificial intelligence, 2) Practice using the entry artificial intelligence model, 3) Identifying the Ethical Impact, and 4) Based on learned, team idea meeting to solve real-life problems. Through this course, understanding the principles of the core technology of artificial intelligence can be directly implemented through the entry artificial intelligence model, and furthermore, based on the experience of solving various real-life problems with artificial intelligence, and it can be expected to contribute positively to understanding technology, exploring the ethics needed in the artificial intelligence era.
