An Experimental Study for Supposed Heating Temperature of Deteriorated Concrete Structure by fire Accident (화재피해를 입은 콘크리트구조물의 수열온도 추정을 위한 실험적 연구)

  • A fire outbreak in a reinforcement concrete structure looses the organism by the different contraction and expansion of hardened cement pastes and aggregate, and causes cracks by thermal stress, leading to the deterioration of the durability. So concrete reinforcement structure is damaged partial or whole structure system. Therefore diagnosis of deterioration is needed based on mechanism of fire deterioration in general concrete structures. Fundamental information and data on the properties of concrete exposed to high temperature are necessary for accurate diagnosis of deterioration. In this study, it was presented data for the accurate diagnosis and selection of repair and reinforcement system for the deteriorated concrete heated highly, various concrete such as standard design compressive strength, fine aggregate and admixture were exposed to a high temperature environment. And fundamental data were measured engineering properties such as explosive spatting, ultrasonic pulse velocity and compressive strength.

  • The safety and the durability of the arm as an automotive chassis part under the fatigue can be predicted in this study. The fatigue life is sharply decreased from 0.5 to 0.75 at the change of load which is the amplitude load divided by average load. But its life is slightly decreased at the change of load from 0.75 to 1.5. The influence of fatigue life according to the change of load can be predicted by these results. As the value of maximum damage is 2.2 and the value of maximum compressive strain or stress is $-6.93{\times}10^{-3}$ or 349 Mpa at the connected part of rod end applied by concentrated load respectively, there is the greatest possibility of destruction due to the compression at this part.

  • Korea is known to have seasonal frozen ground during a winter season due to climatic and ground conditions. Temperatures below $0^{\circ}C$ cause pavement failure by frost heaving and thaw settlement. A frost protection layer has been constructed in pavements to avoid damage caused by frost action. Anti-frost design methods in Korea have been adopted, which is established in U.S. and Japan. However the characteristics of soils in Korea are different and there are no reasonable modifications to accommodate these characteristics. Therefore, adequate pavement design procedures including seasonal frost action, as well as construction and maintenance practices are required. In this paper, the frost penetration depths along national roads in Korea are presented based on field measurement over several years (1991~2010). The frost penetration depths are analyzed with respect to the Provinces of Korea and sunny/shaded areas.

Development on Management System of Structure's Displacement Using GPS (GPS를 이용한 구조물 변위 관리 시스템 개발)

  • Many facilities have been constructed due to the rapid development of science and economy, and the tendency for larger sizes and higher stories in constructing are being accelerated due to the development of technologies, and the efficient use of limited spaces. The safety problems of constructions are being frequently brought up. So, a technique by which the monitoring of the safety of constructions can be easily done must be developed as soon as possible. In this research an management system for structure's displacement using satellite survey was studied. The results of having established the management system for structure's displacement as a GPS positioning system were that data acquisition was easier than that from using normal survey equipment, and data from the satellite survey can be applied to the database of management system. The data of the GPS suey were rather large values to determine the safety of single stories, but can probably be used in establishing the management system using the structure's displacement.

A Degradation Characteristic of FRP Rebars Attacked by Combined Environmental Factors (복합환경인자에 의한 FRP 보강근의 성능저하 특성)

  • In spite of high resistant to corrosion and its strength, over the last two decades, concerns still remain about the durability of FRP materials under severe environmental and thermal exposures. In this paper, authors experimentally examine the combined degradation by thermal and chemical attacks in heterogeneous FRP rebar be made up with various fibers and resins. Five types of Carbon, Glass and Hybrid FRP rebars had manufactured by different process and surface patterns are adopted for the experiments such as weight change, interlaminar shear strength, SEM and FT-IR analysis. FRP specimens were immersed in alkaline or distilled solution up to 150 days and then thermal exposed on 60, 100, 150 and $300^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes. From the test results, the degradation of FRP bars are influnced by the resin type and manufacturing process as well as the fiber, and ILSS of exposed FRP bar in solutions is slightly increased in initial stage and then decresed with the passing of immersed time. But, in this test, it is observed that the discrepancy of ILSS between degraded by alkaline solution and distilled water is negligible value.

  • 스키는 겨울철에 하는 옥외 스포츠로서, 때로는 -30 .deg. C 정도의 저온이나 강풍이 부는 한냉 환경하에서 행하여지는 경우도 있다. 이러한 한냉환경은 신체기능을 저하시켜서 불쾌감을 증가시키므로 의복의 중요성이 더욱 강조된다. 인간과 환경 사이에 놓여 있는 스키웨어는 그 시대의 세련된 패션성이 요구될 뿐만 아니라 운동기능성, 안전성, 내구성 그리고 쾌적성을 구비하지 않으면 안된다. 따라서 환경이 인체에 미치는 영향이나 인간의 생리적 메커니즘을 인식하므로서 비로서 쾌적한 스키웨어를 만들 수 있는 것이다. 다양한 형태의 삶을 추구하는 현대인들의 관심은 점차 여가 시간의 건전한 활용 및 스포츠에 집중 되고 있다. 이러한 사회적인 경향에 발 맞추어 신소재의 스키웨어의 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 예컨데 태양 광선을 흡수하는 세라믹 투입의 신소재의 개발과 체내에서 방출하는 열을 가능한 발산하지 않는, 두 가 지 기능을 합한 축열보온 소재의 스키웨어와 또 탁월한 방수. 방풍의 효과와 운동시 발생되는 수분. 열 배출 을 위한 투습의 능력이 있고 보온의 효과가 매우 높은 힐스포(HEALSPO) 코팅 소재를 사용한 스키웨어도 개발 되고 있다. 그리고 보온성과 심리적 만족감을 위한 원피스, 투피스, 쓰리피스 타입의 디자인 개발도 진행되 고 있다. 본 연구에서는 한냉하 운동시의 축열보온 소재 및 힐스포 소재와 같은 특수소재 스키웨어가 인 체에 미치는 영향을 다른 일반 소재와 비교 고찰하고, 스키웨어의 디자인에 대한 보온성의 효과를 검토하기 위하여, 저온환경에서의 피험자의 온열생리학적 반응을 측정하였다.한 신장/근력 팀의 경우보다 높은 에너지 소비량과 심박수를 보였다.찰한 결과, 세포독성 및 염색체 이상을 유발하지 않았다. 또한 동물약품으로 사용되는 치료용량 및 투약방법에 근거하여 10mg/kg 및 5, 2.5mg/kg을 1일 1회씩 4회 투여한 군에서도 암수에 상관없이 전 농도 군에서 염색체이상을 나타내지 않아 유전독성을 나타내지 않음을 관찰하였다. 특히 vitamin C와 E의 병용투여는 상승적으로 적용하여 간세포손상을 더욱 억제시킴을 알 수 있었다.mance and on TFP(Total Factor Productivity) growth which is a pure measure of firm performance.   • The rearside of concrete lining of tunnels constructed in cold region might experience on freezing due to the low temperature. This causes damage of concrete lining resulting in adverse affect on the durability as well as integrity of tunnel structure by causing damage to the concrete lining. In order to prevent the rearside of tunnel lining from freeing, the temperature change inside the concrete lining was measured by attaching a heating element to the tunnel lining surface and generating heat for a certain period of time. A special freezing chamber was developed to conduct the experiments considering in-situ environment. The carbone nanotube (CNT) was used as a heating element in this study. The temperature distribution of the concrete lining was measured by applying the heat to the heating element. The effect of the outside temperature and heating duration were analyzed.

  • Domestic area of most be happened chloride deicer damage. Because daily mean temperature is below 0$^{\circ}C$ from the area of domestic most. Use of deicing chemicals has been and will continue to be a major part of highway snow and ice control methods. Chloride-containing chemicals such as calcium chloride or rock salt are main deicers for the road. Extensive use of chloride deicers is, however, not only the source of substantial cost penalties due to their corrosive action and ability to deterioration roadway surface materials but also the source of environmental damages. Particularly, it has been recognized that chlorides present in deicing agents can significantly increase concrete surface scaling. In severe cases, scaling can result in dislodgement of coarse aggregate. This research estimates that pH and test of specific pollutants, dynamic modulus of elasticity for freeze-thaw test of concrete were higher than those NaCl, $CaCl_2$, and NaCl+$CaCl_2$(7:3, w/w), also weight losses for scaling test of concrete were much lower than those of NaCl, $CaCl_2$, and NaCl+$CaCl_2$(7:3, w/w).

  • For permanent anchors used for slope reinforcement, bearing capacity and durability should be secured during the period of use. However, according to recent domestic and foreign studies, phenomena such as tension fractures, damage to anchorages, deformation and damage to slope and reduction of residual load over time have been reported along the long-term behavior of the anchors. These problems are expected to increase in the future, which will inevitably lead to problems such as increasing maintenance costs and relevant facility collapse. It is necessary to improve maintenance procedures and methods of ground anchors more practically. In this study, the problems and limitations of domestic maintenance methods were analyzed by conducting a literature study, and the measurement data of load cells installed on the install ground anchors were analyzed to determine the change in the residual load with regard to the elapsed date of the anchors. Based on the results, the effect of the construction conditions of anchors and the soil compositions on the increase and decrease of load were identified.

  • Our research group has investigated that RFID tag packaging development and RFID tag flip chip bonding method influences on the industry-environmental customized RFID tag development that has applications to various industry environmental conditions. RFID tag flip chip bonding is consisting with wire bonding, ultrasonic bonding, heat plate bonding, and laser bonding and those methods are also depending on the different RFID tag development. Our research data shows that, among the various industrial environments such as an extremely high temperature, cryogenic, high-humidity, flexible, high-durable, development of RFID tag in an extremely high temperature is inappropriate for laser bonding method, converting of heat energy as absorbing light energy or heat plate bonding method of straight heat transferring manner, on the other hand, is suitable for wire bonding method which directly connect bump to pattern using wire.
