A Study on Grading According to Raw Materialization of Oyster shell (굴 패각의 원료화 공정에 따른 입도분포에 관한 연구)

  • Oyster shell is produce by shucking process in oyster farming in southern coast of Korea. In average, about 6.7kg of oyster shell is produced as an industrial waste for 1kg of oyster flesh, and even only in last year, it is estimated that about 150,000 ton of oyster shell is produced. Oyster shell is light weighted and the strength characteristic of it is similar to send. So we would like to test if it is avail to use oyster shell crust as fine aggregate. So we use a crusher to crush oyster shell and review its particle distribution for materialization.

Oyster shell is light weighted and the strength characteristic of it is similar to send. So we produced mortar test piece using grounded oyster shell according to aggregate and reviewed strength characteristic. Therefore, in this study, the strength characteristics of the test specimen are evaluated by artificially altering fineness modulus and curing method by processing oyster shells.

  • Today, many kind of buildings are higher than those of previous generations, and Curtain Wall is adapted broadly as an outer wall material. But weather and environmental condition could cause problems in curtain wall construction in most construction projects. High wind speed and unplanned lifting equipment's allocation could cause construction delay and cost increase. To solve these problems, we suggest using a curtain wall mullion as a rail to lift curtain wall which is less affected wind speed. And we would like to show a preliminary data of its economic advantage evaluation.

  • The development of insulation,the most important factor, is slow. The curtain wall market is getting bigger as the bulidings are getting bigger, but the insulation of the window is getting a problem. In order to solve this problem, we want to develop the insulation block used in the window frames. We will examine the insulation effect by using the existing Azon insulation block and the thermal worm convex which is to be developed with Therm 7.4 program.

  • The strength of cement mortar is one of the most important factors in design and construction. Strength can vary widely depending on factors such as water cement ratio, aggregate and materials and curing. In the study, it was found that the standardized method of making the cement mrtar was different from the standard method of preparing the cement mortar by the different process of the cement mortar. I wanted to know the difference. Experiments were carried out to investigate the differences in strength, physical properies and performance depending on the points when the sample were made long in vertical form.

  • Foamed concrete is a porous concrete that is cured by mixing bubbles into cement slurry. It is lighter than ordinary concrete and is characterized by higher insulation. Lightweight foamed concerte is mainly used as a sandwich panel in Korea, and is also used as a refractory filler in fireproof safes. Studies on lightwight foamed concrete have been carried out on strength,density and thermal conductivity. However, it is confirmed that the research on the fire resistance performance is very limited. Based on this study, fire resistance of lightweight foamed concrete using expanded polystyrene beads is investigated.

  • We present a result of $^{13}CO$(1-0) survey toward the Outer Galactic Plane using the multi-beam receiver system recently installed on the 14 m telescope at Taeduk Radio Astronomy Observatory(TRAO). Our target region is from l=$120^{\circ}$ to $133^{\circ}$ and b=$-1^{\circ}$ to $+1^{\circ}$, and some extended regions are included where emission is still arising. All data are on 50" grid. Velocity resolution is 0.63 km/sec, and the total velocity range is from -150 km/sec to 100 km/sec. A total of 140,000 spectra were obtained. The rms noise is about 0.18 K per channel for unsmoothed raw data. We will present a few initial results of the survey database.

  • As energy related problems continue to arise, Korea's thermal insulation market for the zero energy homes is also demanding major changes, but there are no realistic countermeasures. Also, interest in inorganic insulation is growing as damage from multifamily housing fire using flammable insulation materials is increasing. On the other hand, many studies have been conducted on lightweight foam concrete, which implies a sufficient possibility as an insulation material by generating a large amount of air bubbles. However, studies of existion bubble concrete are not quantified by the experimental difficulty of using bubbles when compared. Therefore, in this study, the change in strength due to air pressure using a bubble foam, one of the types of air bubbles for the development of light foam concrete.

  • Foame concrete was used to reduce insulation problems and interlayer noise in slab. There have been no studies on the physical properties of foaming agents using foamed concrete,Only the physical properties of foamed concrete mixed with foam agent. It is judged that the density and distribution of Foams will be changed when the pressre is changed when the bubble is formed. In this study to investigate the changes of Foam density and the physical performance of foamed concrete by changing the pressure during Foam formation.

  • A behavior-based control and learning architecture is proposed, where reinforcement learning is applied to learn proper associations between stimulus and response by using two types of memory called as short Term Memory and Long Term Memory. In particular, to solve delayed-reward problem, a knowledge-propagation (KP) method is proposed, where well-designed or well-trained S-R(stimulus-response) associations for low-level sensors are utilized to learn new S-R associations for high-level sensors, in case that those S-R associations require the same objective such as obstacle avoidance. To show the validity of our proposed KP method, comparative experiments are performed for the cases that (ⅰ) only a delayed reward is used, (ⅱ) some of S-R pairs are preprogrammed, (ⅲ) immediate reward is possible, and (ⅳ) the proposed KP method is applied.
