Venture Capital Financing and Market Performance of Entrepreneurial Firms (공동투자가 중소기업의 성과에 미치는 영향: 벤처캐피탈을 중심으로)

  • It is very important for entrepreneurial firms to acquire and exploit the resources necessary for growth. This study examines how venture capital financing affect these entrepreneurial firms' ability to acquire and exploit the resources. Particularly, based on the resource based view, the authors explain the relationship between venture capital financing and entrepreneurial firm's market performance. Empirical results illustrate that venture capital financing positively and significantly affects the market performance of entrepreneurial firms. It is concluded that entrepreneurial firms need to increase the number of alliances with venture capital, which supports various activities after the investment to achieve growth with resource limitation.

  • This dissertation is composed of three parts. In the first, the prevalent problems in corporate information management are investigated from the standpoint of information utilization charateristics in industries. In part two, the state of the arts of information management in Korean industries has been surveyed. In part three, on the basis of these comprehensive analysis the IRM process is systemized according to the general resource management processes of intake, utilization, and development.

  • 우리 경제가 작금의 IMF 구제 금융체제를 조기에 극복하고, 21세기 선진국 경제체제로의 도약을 위해서는 글로벌 환경변화에 능동적으로 대처할 수 있는 산업의 국제경쟁력 제고가 절실하며, 특히 산업파급 효과가 크고 부가가치의 실현가능성이 높은 정보통신 산업 분야에서의 기술적/사업적 경쟁우위의 확보가 중요하다고 하겠다. 또한 선진국을 중심으로 전개되고 있는 지식기반 경제의 확립을 통한 지속적인 발전 및 세계적인 확산, 지식자원을 기반으로 한 국가 및 개별기업의 경쟁력 제고, 개인·산업·국가 수준의 네트워크 구축을 위한 제휴전략의 확대 등과 같은 새로운 페러다임의 형성에 효율적으로 대처하기 위해서는 제조업을 중심으로 한 대기업-중소기업이란 이분법적 구조에 따른 보유수준위주의 경쟁자원의 개념을 뛰어넘는 새로운 개념으로서, 벤처기업의 육성 및 지식자원의 ‘창출-변환-확산’을 통한 경쟁우위를 확보할 수 있는 효율적인 방안의 마련이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구원에서는 정보통신 기술 집약형 중소기업의 지식자원 확충을 통한 경쟁력 제고를 위한 방안 마련의 일환으로 전문 인력의 투입(지식창출), 전문 인력의 관리/유지시스템(지식변환), 전문인력 양성제도/정책(지식자원 확산인프라)의 3 측면에서 문제점과 개선점에 대한 분석, 및 효율적 정책방안을 제시하였다.

  • In recent years, there has been a growing concern about enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In this study, we investigate the relationship among ERP software qualify, vendor support, user information satisfaction. and performance of ERP implementation. The empirical findings of this paper will allow SMEs to identify the importance of relationships with vendors and software itself for the successful implementation of ERP systems. The results provide a useful basis for the SMEs which have limited information capability to focus their attention on the software quality and vendor support in overcoming difficulties and obstacles facing the ERP implementation.

A Study for Building Credit Scoring Model using Enterprise Human Resource Factors (기업 인적자원 관련 변수를 이용한 기업 신용점수 모형 구축에 관한 연구)

  • Although various models have been developed to establish the enterprise credit scoring, no model has utilized the enterprise human resource so far. The purpose of this study was to build an enterprise credit scoring model using enterprise human resource factors. The data to measure the enterprise credit score were made by the first-year research material of HCCP was used to investigate the enterprise human resource and 2004 Credit Rating Score generated from KIS-Credit Scoring Model. The independent variables were chosen among questionnaires of HCCP based on Mclagan(1989)'s HR wheel model, and the credit score of Korean Information Service was used for the dependent variables. The statistical method used for data analysis was logistic regression. As a result of constructing a model, 22 variables were selected. To see these specifically by each large area, 6 variables in human resource development(HRD) area, 15 in human resource management(HRM) area, and 1 in the other area were chosen. As a consequence of 10 fold cross validation, misclassification rate and G-mean were 30.81 and 68.27 respectively. Decile having the highest response rate was bigger than the one having the lowest response rate by 6.08 times, and had a tendency to decrease. Therefore, the result of study showed that the proposed model was appropriate to measure enterprise credit score using enterprise human resource variables.

A Study on the Effect of Internal Resources and Business model Innovation of Venture Enterprises on Industrial Property Performance (벤처기업의 내부 자원과 비즈니스모델 혁신성이 산업재산 성과에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • This study tried to understand the effect of internal resources, capabilities, and business model innovation of venture enterprises on industrial property performance, as based on previous studies that securing industrial property rights has a positive effect on the technology commercialization of venture companies. Venture company capabilities were classified into intrinsic elements of a company (company's research resources) and creative elements (commercialization capabilities) that implement them, and they were intended to show that they could lead to a company's potential competitiveness through innovation in business models. In order to verify this research purpose, an empirical analysis was conducted on 1,733 corporate companies among venture confirmation companies subject to the 2019 venture company precision survey. It was confirmed that the systematic research organization and commercialization capabilities of venture companies were significant (+) in industrial property performance. However, in the final research model that applied both the rules of the business model's innovation variable, commercialization capability and business model innovation were significant (-), and research organization × business model innovation showed significant results (+). This means that venture companies' excellent resources and capabilities can have a positive impact on industrial property performance individually, but when applying the level of innovation in the actual business model, they must interact with the business model. The results of this study are meaningful in that it is necessary to pursue business model innovation that secures clear differentiators compared to competitors as well as strengthening the company's internal resources and capabilities to secure industrial assets and innovation growth.

Research on Human Resource Management in Asia Pacific Journal of Small Business: A Comprehensive Review and Future Research Directions (「중소기업연구」 40년 인적자원관리 연구 동향과 향후 방향성)

  • The purposes of this study are to summarize the past studies on human resource management (HRM) published in Asia Pacific Journal of Small Business and to propose the future research directions. This study selected 33 HRM papers (3.1 % of all published papers) and classified them depending three yardsticks. First, this study investigated the frequency and the trend of each year and, as a result, it demonstrated the variations in published papers depending on the publication year. Next, on the basis of the research theme, this study divided 33 papers into two parts; a general HRM vs. a specific HRM practice. The result showed that most studies focused on the specific HRM practice. Lastly, with regard to methodology, this study classified them into a conceptual paper, a case-study, and empirical research, and the result showed that most studies are empirical-based papers. Based on the trends, this study proposed three issues in terms of the number of research, research theme, and methodology, and suggested future research directions for HRM in small-medium enterprises.

  • Using information mapping methodology we will discover which of the multitude of information sources, services and systems used by corporation are actually resources and which are less important, redundant, or unnecessary. The discovery process of information resources will illuminate problems and opportunities related corporation's strengths and weeknesses in information quality, accessibility, performance, use, and effectiveness.

The Effects of Logistics and Export Firm's Competitiveness on Export Performance (수출기업과 물류기업의 역량이 수출성과에 미치는 영향)

  • International trade is becoming more and more important in this age of globalization. In particular, It is very important to export for South Korea economy. An important factor in export performance is logistics firms' competitiveness and resources. Nevertheless, many scholars and researchers are overlooking the role of logistics firms in the export market. Most studies have focused only on the capability of export companies without considering the capacity of logistics companies. This paper is attempted to analyze the competitiveness of logistics which affect export performance. So this study adopts the moderated regression analysis. The results analysis shows that logistics firms' resource level were statistically significant on export performance. The moderating effect of logistics firms' resource level was found in the relationship between export performance and international orientation. Lastly, the moderating effect of the logistics services level on the relationship between export firms capacity and export performance was statically significant.
