The Determinants of Corporate Training in Korea - Market Failure and State Intervention - (한국 기업의 교육훈련 결정요인 - 시장실패와 정부 개입을 중심으로 -)

  • Focusing market failure and state intervention, this article analyzes the determinants of corporate training in Korea. Analysing the first wave of HCCP(Human Capital Corporate Panel) data produced by KRIVET(Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training), this article finds that even though the skills attainead in corporate in Korea are mostly general(industry-specific), but the market failure in training appears rather small and is confined to the manufacturing industry. And the state intervention in corporate training works only at manufacturing industry, it does not work at new service industry. The results mean that in new service industry, it is difficult to find out the existence of market failure in training due to the positive externalities. Therefore Korea government should look thoroughly into the state intervention in training in new service industry.

  • 본 논문에서는 기업교육에 있어서 e-Learning을 효과적으로 실현하기 위해 Information Filtering을 제안하고자 한다. 사용자 profile에 기반하여 지식 경영상 시스템을 기업교육에 도입함으로써 정보 검색 시 term space에서 모든 단어를 vector로 나타내어, 사용자 profile과 비교 측정하여 다음 유사한 측정을 통해서 원하는 정보 문서를 사용자에게 제공한다. Information Filtering의 도입으로 사용자의 흥미 변화에 맞춰 다이나믹하게 공급되는 학습 문서속에서 기업을 위한 e-Learning으로 경영성과를 높이는 하나의 전력을 제시한다.

  • Fear to start-up failures has been known to have a negative impact on entrepreneurial intention. This is one of the reasons why the government adopts a policy to help university students overcome their fear of start-ups. Setting educational goals to foster innovative and progressive entrepreneurs, universities have been conducting entrepreneurship education, but it is hard to say that constructive results have been achieved so far. Rather than adopting the practice of optional entrepreneurship education, there is a need to have all university freshmen mandatorily take the course of entrepreneurship education. This study aims to uncover the impact of more aggressive entrepreneurship education position in the university by analyzing empirical data. The relationship between an entrepreneurship level and entrepreneurial intention was tested, and start-up fear was also considered. In the research model, self-leadership and self-efficacy were included as regressors to entrepreneurship levels. Especially, this study tested moderate effects of start-up community during the course. The results from the sample of 2,500 freshmen indicate that entrepreneurship level is significantly improved by taking the course; however, fear to start-up failures remains still. In addition, empirical findings show that putting start-up communities in the entrepreneurship education helps students by moderating self-leadership and self-efficacy. This study extends our knowledge of entrepreneurship education in university by analyzing university freshmen data empirically.

긍정심리자본이 창업의지에 미치는 영향: 기업가정신교육 만족도를 중심으로

  • 기업가정신은 기업가정신교육을 통해 개발할 수 있으며 창업의 성공과 발전에 중요한 역할을 한다. 창업교육의 중요성이 부각되면서 청년 기업가정신 교육의 수요가 증가하고 있다. 이러한 교육을 통해 창업을 위한 기본적인 지식과 기술을 습득할 수 있고 이를 바탕으로 창업에 대한 높은 목표와 열정을 가질 수 있다. 그러나 창업 교육에 대한 연구에서는 이러한 교육의 효과를 측정하는 것이 어렵고 창업의지와 이를 촉진하기 위한 기업가정신교육의 효과에 대한 연구는 여전히 부족하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 긍정심리자본과 창업의지의 관계를 검증하고, 나아가 기업가정신 교육 만족도가 긍정심리자본과 창업의지 간 관계에서 조절효과를 가지는지에 대한 여부를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구를 위해 총 113명의 표본 집단을 수집하였고, SPSS 28.0을 활용해 측정 항목의 타당성 및 가설 검증을 실시하였다.

Effectiveness of Web-Based On-line Corporate Education: The Case of 'L' Company (웹기반 온라인 기업교육의 성과에 관한 연구: L기업의 사례를 중심으로)

  • The increasing demand for the distance learning has created a need to explore the implications of the emerging paradigm shift in the learning environment. For the use of information technology to improve learning processes, the pedagogical assumptions underlying the design of information technology for educational purposes must be understood. However, little theoretical development or empirical research has examined learning effectiveness in web-based distance learning. Thus, this paper reviews from research in management communications, education, social psychology, and information systems literatures to develop an conceptual model of influences on web-based corporate education outcomes. The hypotheses empirically examined using survey data from 152 students of 'L' company. The data support the validity and reliability of our constructs. And the hypotheses of this study get partially significant support. Finally, the implications of this survey results are discussed in terms of learning performance.

  • A consistent agreement has been made among researchers with regards to entrepreneurship as a critical determinant in fostering and promoting start-up new businesses. Many prior studies claim that entrepreneurial education plays a significant role in facilitating and enforcing entrepreneurship among people, and consequently it leads to active creation of new businesses. This study examines practical effectiveness of entrepreneurial education being provided by universities for university students. The findings of the study are summarized as followings. The effect of entrepreneurial education was significantly influencing on entrepreneurial intention of university students. It also turned out entrepreneurial education delivered a significant effect on forming both entrepreneurial motivation and self-efficacy of university students. Mediating effect was appeared partially over the path between entrepreneurial education and entrepreneurial intention by self-efficacy and entrepreneurial motivation. Discussion and practical implication on the findings are addressed and provided.

  • 기업에서 발생되는 손실 부분 중 커다란 부분을 차지하고 있는 것이, 산업재해로 인한 인적ㆍ물적인 손실이라고 할 수 있다. 산업재해를 줄이기 위한 방법으로 여러 가지 측면에서 다각적인 노력을 기하고 있으나 현재 기업의 산업안전에 관한 실태를 살펴보면 인간중심의 안전관리보다는 기계중심의 안전관리가 더 우월하게 이루어지고 있는 실정이다. 문명의 발달로 아무리 기계기구로 좋아졌다 하더라고 그것을 사용하는 인간이 제대로 사용할 수 없다는 안전성은 확보 될 수 없을 것이다. 산업재해를 예방하기 위한 방편으로 기업 내에서 실시되는 산업 안전 교육부분에 대한 정확한 실태 조사를 통해 산업안전교육이 기업 내에서 효율적으로 자리잡아 기업의 생산성 향상에 도움이 되고자 한다.

Evaluation Indicators for Learning Company Participating Work-Study Parallel Program (일학습병행 학습기업 평가지표)

  • The Work-Study parallel program has been promoted as a key policy to resolve the mismatch between industrial sites and school education and realize a competency-centered society, and as of December 2022, 16,664 companies participated in the training. Learning companies play a very important role as education and training supply organizations that conduct field training. In this study, for the evaluation of learning companies participating in work-study program, the authors derive important factors that determine the quality of on-site education and training by analyzing the cognitive structure of experts in charge of the company and present evaluation indicators for learning enterprises. Therefore, it is intended to lay the foundation for promoting the quality of work-study parallel program.
