Function of salivary gland and saliva composition can be an indicator of individual's health status. Recently, saliva has been thought to have a high potential for usage in the biomedical field to diagnose, evaluate, and prevent systemic health due to the technological advances in analyzing and detecting small elements such as immunological and metabolic products, viruses, microorganisms, hormones in saliva. As a diagnostic specimen, saliva has some useful advantages compared to serum. Because of simple non-invasive method, saliva sampling is quite comfort for the patient, and it doesn't require specialists to collect samples. The possibility of infection during the collection process is also low. For this reason, proteins, genetic materials, and various biomarkers in saliva are actively being utilized on studying stress, microbiomics, genetics, and epigenetics. For the research on collecting big data related to systemic health, the needs on biobank has been focused. Regeneration of salivary gland based on tissue engineering has been also on advancement. However, there are still many issues to be solved, such as the standardization of sample collection, storage, and usage. This review focuses on the recent trends in the field of saliva research and highlight the future perspectives in biomedical and other applications.
Peroxisomes, known as microbodies, are a class of morphologically similar subcellular organelles commonly found in most eukaryotic cells. They are 0.2~1.8 ㎛ in diameter and are bound by a single membrane. The matrix is usually finely granular, but occasionally crystalline or fibrillary inclusions are observed. They characteristically contain hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) generating oxidases and contain the enzyme catalase, thus confining the metabolism of the poisonous H2O2 within these organelles. Therefore, the eukaryotic organelles are greatly dynamic both in morphology and metabolism. Plant peroxisomes, in particular, are associated with numerous metabolic processes, including β-oxidation, the glyoxylate cycle and photorespiration. Furthermore, plant peroxisomes are involved in development, along with responses to stresses such as the synthesis of important phytohormones of auxins, salicylic acid and jasmonic acids. In the past few decades substantial progress has been made in the study of peroxisome biogenesis in eukaryotic organisms, mainly in animals and yeasts. Advancement of sophisticated techniques in molecular biology and widening of the range of genomic applications have led to the identification of most peroxisomal genes and proteins (peroxins, PEXs). Furthermore, recent applications of proteome study have produced fundamental information on biogenesis in plant peroxisomes, together with improving our understanding of peroxisomal protein targeting, regulation, and degradation. Nonetheless, despite this progress in peroxisome development, much remains to be explained about how peroxisomes originate from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), then assemble and divide. Peroxisomes perform dynamic roles in many phases of plant development, and in this review, we focus on the latest progress in furthering our understanding of plant peroxisome functions, biogenesis, and dynamics.

This study aimed to develop educational material on the proper use of plant-based milk alternatives in the form of a card news, based on a focus group interview(FGI) with adult consumers. The FGI participants were individuals who had directly purchased cow's milk, soy milk, or other plant-based milk alternatives within the past three months and consumed them at least once a month. The study consisted of 17 adults between the ages of 19 and 63 years who met these criteria(9 males and 8 females). It was identified what participants were curious about, interested in, and needed information regarding the proper use of plant-based milk alternatives through FGI. A 10-page card news was developed that was highly usable, taking into account the FGI results and the latest literature. In conclusion, this study developed a card news aimed at promoting the proper use of plant-based milk alternatives, which can be easily disseminated online in line with the trends in food consumption and digitization. The results of this study suggest that the continuous development and distribution of educational materials that reflect food consumption trends and maximize their usability should be provided for dietary life education, such as school subjects or out-of-school programs.

Background: The need to develop alternative chemicals is increasing worldwide due to the strengthening of global chemical regulations and consumer safety awareness in the marketplace. Objectives: We aimed to review domestic and foreign technology trends for exploring alternative candidate algorithms that can be used to develop safer alternatives to strengthen global market competitiveness and protect public health in the future. Methods: We searched the current status of research trends, companies related to the development of alternative chemicals in domestic and foreign countries. For this, we referred to research papers and websites by companies and institutes related to such alternatives. Results: Among the domestic and foreign research trends, more studies in South Korea were focused on predicting molecular-based physicochemical properties and toxicity than were reporting on research exploring alternative candidates. Three web-based databases and six tools were being developed. More studies in other countries predicted information to consider in alternative development than reported on research exploring alternative candidates, and four web-based databases and three tools were being developed. Among the companies related to the development of alternative chemicals, 286 alternatives classified as 'EVALUATED ALTERNATIVE' in MARKETPLACE accounted for the most significant proportion in Europe on a continent basis, and the largest number in the United States (US) on a national basis. In South Korea, only significant companies were registered. Conclusions: In this study, it was found to be necessary to provide public technology support platforms to explore alternative candidates considering various aspects in order to support alternative development. In conclusion, exploring alternative candidate algorithms could contribute to the response to the global trends in the chemical industry and to supporting companies and researchers developing safer alternatives in the future.

Rural life improvement has remained a key policy concern for the governments of most developing countries. However, developing countries mostly focused on agricultural productivity and technology development while implementing rural development policies. This paper was aimed at constructing the trends and identify the major tasks implemented through the rural life improvement programs in Korea and describing rural development efforts in Ethiopia after the Second World War. The data was generated through an intensive review of literature and focus group interview in Korea. The two countries in general and their rural areas in particular, were poor and almost similar initially. While the condition of rural Korea rapidly transformed since 1960s, rural Ethiopia has not yet experienced major improvement. Although different rural development efforts have been made in Ethiopia, erratic policies implemented by the different political regimes across time emerge to be one of the main factors behind the poor performance of the of the rural sector. Further, while the Korean government's rural development policy gave equal emphasis to improvement of agricultural production base as well as rural life improvement right from its inception, the Ethiopian rural development policy has rather neglected the rural life improvement aspect. Diversification of rural economy was also another priority area in Korea's rural development policy through agro-processing, rural tourism, and non-farm employment opportunities whereas this has not been the case in Ethiopia's rural development policy. We suggest some lessons that Ethiopia might adapt for its rural life improvement endeavors.
The office environment is changing according to work types, Information Technology (IT) advancements, and the Coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 situation. In order for office space users to perform their tasks comfortably and efficiently, it is necessary to secure individual privacy as well as easy communication among members. In Korea, the demand for improving the acoustic performance of office spaces is also increasing, but the related performance criteria and guidelines have not been established. In this study, standardization of office space acoustic performance measurement and evaluation methods and European countries' acoustic performance criteria were compared and reviewed. It is proposed to comprehensively review international standardization trends and acoustic performance standards in each country and to establish and utilize criteria for evaluating the acoustic performance and satisfaction of office spaces in Korea through our survey. Considering the international standardization direction and compatibility with communication and Public Address (PA) systems, it is appropriate to establish criteria using the speech transmission index or Speech Transmission Index (STI) application index. This criterion will be highly utilizable and compatible. In addition, since the office furniture industry is interested in improving the acoustic performance of office space, it is necessary to establish a labelling system for speech level reduction of office furniture.
As an important branch of cognitive psychology, "constructivism" is called a "revolution" in contemporary educational psychology, which has a profound influence on the field of pedagogy and psychology. Based on "WOS" database, this study selects "WOS Core database" and "KCI database", uses CiteSpace visualization software as analysis tool, and makes knowledge map analysis on the research literature of "constructivism" in the field of education in recent 35 years. Analysis directions include annual analysis, network connection analysis by country(region) branch, author, institution or University, and keyword analysis. The purpose of the analysis is to grasp the subject areas, research hotspots and future trends of the research on constructivism, and to provide theoretical reference for the research on constructivism. There are three conclusions from the study. 1. Studies on the subject of constructivism have continued from the 1980s to the present. It is now in a period of steady development. 2. Countries concerned with the subject of constructivism mainly include the United States, Canada, Britain, Australia and the Netherlands. The main research institutions and authors are mainly located in these countries. 3. Currently, the keywords constructivism research focus on the clusters of "instructional strategies", and the development of science and technology is affecting individual learning. In the future, instructional strategies will become the focus of structural constructivism research. With the development of instructional technology, it is necessary to conduct research related to the development of new teaching models.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the current situation of EduTech, which is proposed as a way to build a flexible learning environment regardless of time and place according to the use of digital technology in mathematics subjects. The process of designing classes to use the EduTech platform, which is still in the development introduction stage, in public education is still difficult, and research to observe its effects and characteristics is also in its early stages. However, in the stage of preparing for future education, it is a meaningful process to grasp the current situation and point out the direction in preparation for the future in which EduTech will be actively applied to education. Accordingly, the current situation and utilization trends of EduTech at home and abroad were confirmed, and the functions and roles of EduTech platforms used in mathematics were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the EduTech platform was pursuing learners' self-directed learning by constructing its functions so that they could be useful for individual learning of learners in hierarchical mathematics education. In addition, we have confirmed that the platform is evolving to be useful for teachers' work reduction, suitable activities, and evaluations learning management. Therefore, it is necessary to implement instructional design and individual customized learning support measures for students that can efficiently utilize these platforms in the future.

The Korean Statistical Information Service (KOSIS), classifies and summarizes 1,062 cases that were found when searching [An Investigation on Multicultural Families in Korea] on the website. These years are 2009, 2012, and 2015. The suggestion of this study is as follows. First, it is a comparison between the migrant group and the permanent resident group of 'children' in the research data. Identifying the relative position of a married migrant family to a permanent resident can provide a very important clue. Also, for other date, comparison of the settled and migrant groups is as important as the 'children'. Second, in the 'medical care' category, we need to add more depth than the surface content. For example, the inclusion of details about cancer diagnosis will determine the incidence of marriage migrants. Such efforts can provide more practical assistance to married migrant families. KOSIS is a very useful site that provides useful site that provides us with a lot of information. In the future, they should be able to use migrant group information more efficiently and be more helpful to them. This is the beginning of a sustainable society.
