  • 주요국의 보일러 및 압력용기의 기술기준 개발방향이 금속재료기술의 발달, 비파괴검사 기술의 개발, 용접기술의 급진전, 품질요건의 국제적인 규정의 제정 및 준수 등의 현상으로 볼 때 이를 대체적으로 수용하는 ASME Sec. III의 방향으로 통합되어 가는 느낌을 받고 있다. 따라서 우 리나라도 전담기구의 설립 또는 지정을 서둘러 장기적인 안목에서 체계적으로 대처하여야 급격히 변화하는 세계적인 기술흐름에 맞추어 우리의 관련산업이 지속적으로 발전 될 수 있으며 이와 관련된 기술개발방향이 바르게 갈 수 있을 것이다.

  • 플랜트, 가스용기 등의 압력용기 제작 및 스텐레스, 알미늄 등의 특수금속용접에서 TIG 용접은 매우 중요한 기술적 위치를 차지하고 있다. 이런 용접에서 현재까지는 국내에서 노동 집약적인 수동 TIG 용접이 적용되고 있으나 인건비의 상승, 3D 산업으로 인한 숙련자의 부족으로 자동화가 급속히 추진되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 10A 이하에서도 용접이 가능한 극 정밀 직류 TIG 펄스 용접기에 관한 연구결과를 다룬다.

  • 환경부는 재활용의무생산자가 준수하여야 할 포장재 재질·구조 및 재활용의 용이성에 대한 평가 기준을 마련하는 것을 목적으로 '포장재 재활용 용이성 등급평가 기준'을 2월 28일부로 일부 개정했다고 발표했다. 이로 인해 플라스틱과 금속 등이 함께 부착된 화장품 용기, 포장용기와 쟁반(트레이) 등은 재활용이 어려운 등급으로 상향 조정된다. 또한 서로 다른 재질이 혼합돼 분리할 수 없으면 일반 쓰레기로 버려야 한다. 이번호와 다음호에 걸쳐 그 상세 내용을 살펴보도록 한다.

Composite Pressure Vessel for Natural Gas Vehicle by Filament Winding (필라멘트 와인딩 공정에 의한 천연가스 차량용 복합재료 압력용기)

  • Composite pressure vessels with HDPE (high density polyethlyne) liner with metal boss at each end were developed by Filament Winding Process. The vessel is composed of a dome-shaped part at each end and a cylinder-shaped part at the middle of the vessel. The environmental tests carried out for possible vessel materials such as High Density Polyethlyn (HDPE), resins and reinforcing fibers up to a year showed no significant damages. The boss was designed to minimize the gas leak which was verified by FEM analysis. Most ideal fiber tension was obtained by experimental method and the fiber volume fraction, $\textrm{V}_{f}$, obtained by image analyzer were 55.4 % in cylinder and 55.6 % in dome parts, respectively. Winding pattern is programmed to control the composite thickness in the dome areas such that the failure of the vessel may occur in the cylinder. During the cure, the vessel was rotated and a constant internal pressure of 0.62 bar was applied. From this, the vessel's burst pressure is improved by 28 %. The burst and fatigue tests for under-wound and fully wound vessel showed satisfactory results.

Monitoring of Hazardous Metals Migrated from Home-Cooking Utensils (홈베이킹 조리기구에서 용출되는 유해금속 실태조사)

  • In this study we investigated the elution level of lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), arsenic (As), zinc (Zn), nickel (Ni), antimony (Sb), germanium (Ge), aluminum (Al) and hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) from 69 home-cooking utensils into a food stimulants. The results of migration testing according to the Korea standards and specifications for utensils, containers and packages showed values the allowable migrantion limits. Al was detected in all 7 utensil materials with the average concentration ranging from 0.002-5.989 mg/L. According to the migration conditions for (180℃, 30 min), the average concentration of Al in paper was 7.2 times higher than 25℃, 10 min (P<0.05). The results of migration testing at 180℃, 30 min were also below the allowable migrantion limits. When comparing with the provisional tolerable weekly intake (PTWI) of Al, the estimated weekly intakes (EWI) accounted for 0.000-0.045% for Al.

  • A thery was developed to design a high pressure vessel with combined structure of the metal and the composite to withstand the pressure of several tens of thousands psias to reduce the weight of the impulse motor which produces high level of thrust within several tens of seconds. The elastic-plastic stress analyses were carried out to prove the validity of the design theory A combustion chamber of the impulse motor was designed by the design theory, fabricated, and tested by the hydraulic pressure and the static firings. The bursting pressures from the tests were compared to those predicted by tile design theory and the stress analyses and found to be almost the same. It will be possible to design the high pressure vessel with combined structure of the metal and the composite very easily by the proposed design theory.
