최근 한국과 일본의 교류는 무척 활발하다. 교류내용도 정치.경제 중심에서 교육.문화로 확대되고 있다. 하지만 아직까지 한국인의 일본관, 일본인의 한국관은 왜곡되거나 피상적이다. 일본에 대한 학문적 이해 특히 근대현대사에 대한 사회 과학적 이해가 필요하다.

인류는 오래 전부터 불씨를 얻는 방법으로 단단한 나무끼리의 마찰 또는 돌끼리 맞부딪치게하여 불을 일으켜서 사용하여 왔다. 성냥을 만들어 사용하게 된것은 그리 오래되지는 않는다. 1669년에 낮은 온도에서 타는 인이 발견되어 근대적인 성냥을 만드는 길이 열리게 되었다.

Recently with the research function, "XML Digital collection of Sijo Texts in the Period of Modern Enlightenment" DB data is being provided through the Korean Research Memory (http://www.krm.or.kr) and the foundation for the constructing the contents of Sijo Texts in the Period of Modern Enlightenment has been laid. In this paper, by reviewing the characteristics and problems of Digital collection of Sijo Texts in the Period of Modern Enlightenment and searching for the improvement, I tried to find a way to make it into the content. This database has the primary meaning in the integrating and glancing at the vast amounts of Sijo in the Period of Modern Enlightenment to reaching 12,500 pieces. In addition, it is the first Sijo data base which is provide the variety of search features according to literature, name of poet, title of work, original text, per period, and etc. However, this database has the limits to verifying the overall aspects of the Sijo in the Period of Modern Enlightenment. The title and original text, which is written in the archaic word or Chinese character, could not be searched, because the standard type text of modern language is not formatted. And also the works and the individual Sijo works released after 1945 were missing in the database. It is inconvenient to extract the datum according to the poet, because poets are marked in the various ways such as one's real name, nom de plume and etc. To solve this kind of problems and improve the utilization of the database, I proposed the providing the standard type text of modern language, giving the index terms about content, providing the information on the work format and etc. Furthermore, if the Sijo database in the Period of Modern Enlightenment which is prepared the character of the Sijo Culture Information System could be built, it could be connected with the academic, educational contents. For the specific plan, I suggested as follow, - learning support materials for the Modern history and the national territory recognition on the Modern Age - source materials for studying indigenous animals and plants characters creating the commercial characters - applicability as the Sijo learning tool such as Sijo Game.

The general tendency of approach to Korean Design History has been focusing its primary interest on the grand story in relation to the problems of modernization in political, economical and social aspects of Korea. In the discourse of modernization, however, there are two sides immanent in the modernization: there is the formal, institutional and authoritative modernization developed inside the capitalistic mode of production and the informal, individual and cultural modernization manifested in the mode of everyday lives. Especially, despite the viewpoint of the latter being embossed as an alternative approach in various areas including the academic world of history since the collapse of socialism, the historical recognition of the phenomena of modern design by the Korean design historians is more like the 'history from the above' that exists at the level of the discourse outside the reality rather than the 'history from the below' that exists within the ordinary life. To grant a sense of balance in such frame of historical understanding, it requires the restructuring the design history of Korea through the cultural perspectives from having the representation of mundane lives realized by the voluntary design activity of the common people as research subjects. One of the methods to acquire an answer to such problem is decoding, in the manner of 'cultural history', the life-long domestic artifact made by Madame Yang, Gap Jo (currently 87 years of age) who is a model of typical Korean mother. Through the historical rumination on the traces of unpretentious lives of the people that has been buried under the grand narrative of the Korean Design History, a new era aimed for the historical prospect of Korean design as cultural history will be possible by excavating the petit yet multi-layered meaning of Korean designs.

The purpose of this study is to determine the evaluation of affected visual landscape of Taereung National Training Center to Taereung and Gangneung UNESCO World heritages, South Korea. For this research, it used to offer the affected visual landscape rate and 3D simulation with Sketch up 8.0. This study conducted over 4 steps. Step 1, view points are selected with literature review and interview. Step 2, with Sketch up created 3D modelling and calculated the affected rate on the landscape. Step 3 individual buildings were mapped with the affected rate. Lastly, step 4 were identified the results through field research. From this results, the visual landscape of Taereung and Gangneung that are damaged by the Taereung National Training Center did not appear higher than initially expected. The entrance area on Gangneung, however, where is affected from Oryungwan, Korea Sports Institute, Philseung Gym needs to establish a way to improve that landscape impact. In case of Taereung, it did not appear damaged due to the hiding effect of the forest. By field survey to confirm those results, it shows seasonal differences. In the case of the summer and autumn derive similar results with 3D simulation but were exposed buildings in the winter and spring. It means when the simulation based on the summer and fall operates, it may not reflect the affected landscape of certain times such as winter and spring. This study has significance as a basic research to co-exist between the traditional heritage and modern heritage.

인도는 나라가 아닌 대륙이라 한다. 그러나 우리의 관심영역은 불교를 중심으로 한 종교.철학에 국한됐었다. 80년대 들어서야 제3세계라는 동병상련의 연대감에 의해 근대사 및 리얼리즘 문학작품이 소개됐다. 다소 '장님 코끼리 만지기'였지만, 올해들어 "마하바라타" "라마야나"의 번역 등을 계기로 인도문화에 대한 소개가 본격화될 조짐을 보이고 있다.
