Pole Placement Method of a Double Poles Using LQ Control and Pole's Moving-Range (LQ 제어와 근의 이동범위를 이용한 중근의 극배치 방법)

  • In general, a nonlinear system is linearized in the form of a multiplication of the 1st and 2nd order system. This paper reports a design method of a weighting matrix and control law of LQ control to move the double poles that have a Jordan block to a pair of complex conjugate poles. This method has the advantages of pole placement and the guarantee of stability, but this method cannot position the poles correctly, and the matrix is chosen using a trial and error method. Therefore, a relation function (𝜌, 𝜃) between the poles and the matrix was derived under the condition that the poles are the roots of the characteristic equation of the Hamiltonian system. In addition, the Pole's Moving-range was obtained under the condition that the state weighting matrix becomes a positive semi-definite matrix. This paper presents examples of how the matrix and control law is calculated.

A Study on the Direct Pole Placement PID Self-Tuning Controller Design for DC Servo Motor Control (직류 서어보 전동기 제어를 위한 직접 극배치 PID 자기동조 제어기의 설계)

  • This paper concerned about a study on the direct pole placement PID self-tuning controller design for DC servo motor control system. The method of a direct pole placement self-tuning PID control for a DC servo motor of Robot manipulator tracks a reference velocity in spite of the parameters uncertainties in nonminimum phase system. In this scheme, the parameters of classical controller are estimated by the recursive least square (RLS)identification algorithm, the pole placement method and diophantine equation. A series of simulation in which minimum phase system and nonminimum phase system are subjected to a pattern of system parameter changes is presented to show some of the features of the proposed control algorithm. The proposed control algorithm which shown are effective for the practical application, and experiments of DC servo motor speed control for Robot manipulator by a microcomputer IBM-PC/AT are performed and the results are well suited.

Design of Fuzzy PID Controllers using TSK Fuzzy Systems (TSK 퍼지 시스템을 이용한 퍼지 PID 제어기 설계)

  • In this paper, an algorithm to design fuzzy PID controllers is proposed. The proposed controllers are composed of fuzzy rules of which consequences are linear PID controllers and are designed with help of TSK fuzzy controllers. TSK fuzzy controllers are designed from TSK fuzzy model using pole assignment and have outstanding ability making the output response of nonlinear systems similar to the desired one. However, because of its structure complexity the TSK fuzzy controller is difficult to be used in industry. The proposed controllers have PID controller structure which can be easily realized, and are designed by using the data obtained from control simulations with TSK fuzzy controllers. To verify the proposed algorithm, two example simulations are performed.

Evaluation of Structural Behavior of Large Studs Using Partial Composite Beams (부분합성보를 이용한 대직경 스터드의 구조거동 평가)

  • Large studs were suggested not only for the design of steel-concrete composite bridges with simplified sections but also for the shear connection in precast decks requiring uniform distribution of shear pockets. Based on the push-out test results on studs with diameters of more than 25 mm, partial composite beams with 40%-degree shear connection were fabricated, and static tests were performed. The ultimate strength and horizontal shear load redistribution of partial composite beams, which have parameters of stud shank diameters and distribution, were evaluated, and group failure in the shear span was observed. Since the flexural strength of composite beams are dependent on the strength of their shear connection, the strength of the stud connection was estimated and it showed considerably higher shear strength. From the load-slip curves, the sufficient ductility and load redistribution of large studs were confirmed. Uniformly distributed large studs can provide proper ultimate behavior of composite beams.

  • PMLSM is structurally simple and it have a lot of merits such high speed, high thrust force etc., but cogging force by slot-teeth structure of armature and cogging force by outlet edge effect occurs. This is the cause of thrust force ripple and generate the noise and vibration. Therefore, in this paper we proposed installation of an auxiliary pole to mover of the PMLSM in order to decrease cogging force by the outlet edge which came necessarily into being discontinuous arrangement of the armature. Also, outlet edge cogging force designed a form of the auxiliary pole which the minimum became, and we compared a outlet edge cogging force characteristic along a winding method of an armature as we used 2-D of finite element analysis.

A Study on the Distributions of Minimum Temperature during January in the Central Region of South Korea: focused on Minimum Temperature at Cheorwon (기압배치형별 중부지방의 1월 최저기온 분포에 관한 연구: 철원의 최저기온을 중심으로)

  • This study aimed to analyze the characteristic of the distribution of minimum temperature during January in the central region of South Korea and to investigate causes for the occurrence of extreme minimum temperature in Cheorwon. January temperature distribution data which were collected from 25 weather stations in central area from 1991 to 2010 were investigated, and the difference of temperature between Cheorwon and the other stations in central region, such as Chuncheon, Hongcheon, Bonghwa, Daegwallyoung, Wonju and Jecheon were analyzed by the type of atmospheric pressure system. Daily mean temperature and mean of daily minimum temperature appear to be low at Cheorwon and at the sites in high altitudes, but the frequency of extreme cold wave such as below $-15^{\circ}C$ is also noticeable in Cheorwon. When the Siberian High has expanded and migratory anticyclone has moved onto the north of the Korean Peninsula, the temperature at Cheorwon is relatively low. Furthermore it shows a lesser difference between Cheorwon and the compared stations when the migratory anticyclone affected the area, even at basin like Bonghwa, Jecheon more lower than Cheorwon.

  • In this paper, a numerical study on the evaluation of the redundancy according to the dimension and spacing of cross beams in the composite twin steel plate girder bridges that are generally recognized as a non-redundant load path structures, has been performed. Specifically, a two-lane three-span continuous (40+50+40m) bridge with I-section cross beams which serve as cross bracing, and without a lateral bracing were considered. The material and geometric nonlinear analyses were conducted to evaluate the ultimate loading capacity of the intact and damaged bridge in which one of the two girders is seriously fractured. Through the numerical analyses, it was recognized that there is little difference in redundancy according to the variation of the dimension and spacing of the cross beams for both intact and damaged bridges.

  • In this paper, a state feedback gain controller using linear matrix inequality(LMI) for the multi-objective synthesis is designed, in the multi-layer structure with integral type servo system. The design objectives include $H_{\infty}$ performance, asymptotic disturbance rejection, time-domain constraints, on the closed-loop pole location. The results of computer simulation show the validity of the designed controller.

  • This paper deals with the robustness of a direct adaptive pole-placement control algorithm for continuous time plants with unmodeled dynamics. In this paper, least squares method is used for controller parameter adaptation and covariance matrix update equation is modified by normalizing signal to guarantee the boundedness of all signals in the closed loop system. In the proposed algorithm, no a priori knowledge is required and it is shown that persistence of excitation condition is required to ensure the stability of the closed loop system.

  • 본 논문에서는 단독부하형 삼상인버터의 디지털 전압제어기를 설계한다. 단독부하운전은 선형부하의 변동이나 비선형 부하에서도 안정적인 전압을 공급하는 것이 목적이다. 삼상 인버터를 선형 제어기로 제어하기 위해서 이상동기회전자표계로 제어하지만 두 개의 간섭항 때문에 MIMO 시스템으로 되어 해석적인 제어기를 설계하기 어려워 대부분의 연구에서는 시행착오법으로 제어기를 설계하였다. 본 논문에서는 삼상 인버터의 축변환시에 발생하는 간섭항의 영향을 상대이득행렬로 분석하여 간섭항의 영향을 분석하고 삼상 인버터 시스템을 SISO 시스템으로 만들어 전압제어기만을 갖는 최소 차수의 제어기를 해석적으로 설계하며 응답속도를 향상시키기위해서 오버슈트와 정정시간을 조절할 수 있는 극배치기법으로 설계한다. 설계한 제어기는 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해서 강인성을 보인다.
