Development of Novel Net Hauler for Improved Washing of Fishing Nets (어업용 그물 세척 효율 향상을 위한 그물 세척용 양망기 개발)

  • Net washing in a fishery involves considerable labor and is a time-consuming process; it also causes severe environmental pollution. In this study, we developed a net hauler for washing fishing nets. This hauler can be used to simultaneously haul and wash the net. We devised the revolver structure of the net hauler in order to resolve the net slip problem. The net hauler can be used by itself for washing small-sized nets, or it can be used in an auxiliary washing step in case of a large-sized net. Further, the component installed in the net hauler for unraveling the net improves the net washing performance of an automatic net washer. During the experiments conducted using the prototypes of the new net hauler, the net did not slip and the desired washing performance could be achieved.

Effects of Mesh Structure Variations of Meshed Ground on Microstrip Comb Array Antenna (그물망 접지의 그물망 구조의 변화가 MCAA에 미치는 영향)

  • In this paper, We investigated the effects of mesh structure variations of meshed ground on MCAA(Microstrip Comb Array Antenna). First, we designed MCAA in 24GHz ISM band and we investigated the variations of the gain and the SLL(Side Lobe Level) of the MCAA as we varied the mesh structure of the meshed ground. We varied two variables, mesh size and unfilled rato, which is defined as no metal area ratio in mesh for the investigation. We investigated two types of MCAA. Those are flat MCAA composed of flat radiator and tapered MCAA composed of tapered radiator. Both the antenna gains of flat MCAA and tapered MCAA are decreased as the unfilled rato increased. However, increase of mesh size made more dramatic decrease in antenna gain than increase of unfilled rato. The antenna SLL showed similar trend. But tapered MCAA affected more severely by variation of mesh size than flat MCAA.

Capture Simulation for Space Objects Using Biomimetic Space Nets (생체 모방 우주 그물을 이용한 우주 물체 포획 시뮬레이션)

  • This paper investigates the capture of a 12U-sized CubeSat space object using a spider-web structure-based space net. The structural dynamics analysis program ABAQUS is used to simulate the shock-absorbing capability of the space net with a diagonal length of 2.828 m. The space object is modelled as a rigid body, and the space net is modelled using non-linear elastic beam elements. The simulations reveal that the spider-web structure-based space net outperforms the squared space net of the same structural weight in capturing the space object. The numerical simulations are conducted to examine the successful or unsuccessful captures of the space object in various cooperative and non-cooperative motions.

  • In this paper, we deal with a ring-mesh network design problem arising from the deployment of WDM for the optical internet. The ring-mesh network consists of ring topology and full mesh topology for satisfying traffic demand while minimizing the cost of OAOMs and OXCs. The problem seeks to find an optimal clustering of traffic demands in the network such that the total number of node assignments is minimized, while satisfying ring capacity and node cardinality constraints. We formulate the problem as a mixed-integer programming model and prescribe a tabu search heuristic procedure Promising computational results within 3% optimality gap are obtained using the proposed method.

  • 제주도 연안 정치망 어장은 파도가 세고 조류도 비교적 발라 어구를 대형화 하기가 어렵다. 따라서 각망어구의 대부분은 소형의 원통그물과 짧은 길그물로 구성되어 있어서 어군이 입ㆍ출망이 쉽고 망내에서 체류하는 시간도 짧은 것으로 알려져 있다. 또한 입망된 어군을 망내에 장시간 체류시키는 데는 각망의 여러부분 중에서 원통그물의 입구의 구조가 중요하다. (중략)

Fabrication of Nanowellstructured and Nanonetstructured Metal Films using Anodic Porous Alumina Film (다공성 알루미나 박막을 이용한 금속 나노우물과 나노그물 구조의 박막 제작)

  • Nanoporous alumina film was fabricated by anodization of an aluminum sheet. Highly ordered nanowellstructured and nanonets-tructured metal films were fabricated by vacuum evaporation of several metals(Al, Sn, and Co) using the anodic nanoporous alumina film as a template. In this experiment, an anodic porous alumina film with the cell size of 100 nm and the pore diameter of 60 nm was used. The resistance heating method was adopted for evaporating a desired metal, and vapor deposition was carried out under the base pressure of torr. It was founded that whether the structure fabricated by vacuum evaporation is nanowell or nanonet is dependent on the amount of deposited material. When an anodic porous alumina film with the cell size of 100 nm and the pore diameter of 60 nm was used, a nanowell-structured film was fabricated when a sufficient amount of metal was suppled to cover the surface pores. On the other hand, nanonet-structured film was fabricated bellow a half the amount of metal required for nanowell-structured film.

  • 가스하이드레이트는 물분자들의 수소결합에 의하여 입체 그물구조를 만들게 되면 그 그물구조의 공동(Cavity) 내에 크기가 작은 가스 분자들이 포획되면서 형성되는 결정체이다. 이러한 원리로 포획되어질 수 있는 가스는 130여종에 이른다. 포획가능한 가스 분자들 중 $SF_6$의 경우 보다 쉬운 조건에서 하이드레이트 형성이 되는 점을 이용하여 $SF_6$의 분리 회수에 하이드레이트의 형성 원리를 적용하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 압력조건과 조성변화를 달리하여 $SF_6$ 하이드레이트 형성 특성을 관찰하였다. 본 연구에서 하이드레이트 결정 형성 특성 및 형성 속도에 대한 실험과 분석을 통한 결과를 확보함으로써 향후 $SF_6$ 하이드레이트의 생산, 저장, 회수, 분리 등의 설계의 기본자료로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Electrodeposition of Copper on Porous Reticular Cathode (II) - Effect of PEG and MPS on throwing Power- (다공성 그물구조 음극을 이용한 구리 전착에 관한 연구 (II) -유기첨가제 PEG, MPS의 영향 -)

  • The effect of organic additives such as PEG ind MPS on throwing power have been studied in the fabrication of porous reticular metal by electrodeposition using the mixture of cupric sulfate and sulfuric acid as electrolyte. Both the polarization test and the electrodeposition on the stacked electrodes, mean pore diameter of which was $250{\mu}m$, were performed to illustrate the behavior of throwing power quantitatively. As far as PEG was concerned, it lowered throwing power of electrodeposition on the porous electrode used in this work while the addition of MPS up to 500 ppm in electrolyte enhanced throwing power monotonously. When both MPS and PEG were added in electrolyte, the effect of MPS on throwing power was superior to that of PEG. However, the excess addition of MPS was found to cause the defect in mechanical strength of deposit layer. From the result of SEM observation, it could be concluded that less than 50 ppm of MPS in electrolyte was appropriate to avoid the breakage of deposit layer.
