A Study on the Influence of Work-Life Balance on Organizational Commitment: Moderating Effects of Perceived Value of Work(PVW) (일과 삶의 균형과 조직몰입에 관한 연구: 일가치감의 조절효과)

  • The Purpose of This study is amid competition, High-quality human resources in food service industry make a lot of efforts. Especially, Work and Life Balance(WLB) is a considerable factor when modern workers decide and maintain the workplace and also it could be supposed as one strategic method that corporations could attract and maintain talented people. This study built a exploratory model that there is causal relationship of WLB(work and life balance) to employee's organizational commitment. Additionally this study examine the Moderating Effect of perceived value of work between WLB(work and life balance) and organizational commitment. This study utilized total 217 responses from workers of food service industrial employees and as analysis methods, it used descriptive statistic analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and hierarchical analysis. Results of analysis are as follows. First this study found that the work-life balance could give significant effects to the organizational commitment. work-growth balance and work-leisure balance has positive significance effect with the organizational commitment but work-family balance was not statistically significant. Second, The significance of this study indicates that perceived value of work plays a role as moderating variable influencing the relationship between work and growth balance and employee organizational commitment. Lastly, this study suggested the implication of the result, the limitation and the direction of future study. The results of this study provide suggestion to the company.

  • 본 연구는 북한의 지역격차를 분석하고, 상대적으로 낙후된 지역에 대한 개발전략으로서, 북한의 경제발전을 위해 확대.설치가 불가피한 경제특구와 연계하여 지역균형개발전략을 모색해 보았다. 북한의 지역간 인구성장 분석에 의하면, 북한은 지역균형개발정책에도 불구하고, 종주도시 평양과 여타 지역간에 극심한 지역격차를 보이고 있다. 따라서 앞으로 경제특구는 낙후된 지역 즉, 평양을 제외한 여타 지역에 고르게 입지하는 전략이 요구된다는 점을 가조하였다. 그리고 경제특구는 북한의 보유자원 관점에서 노동집약적인 가공공업형 경제특구와 관광형 경제특구로 나누어 추진되는 것이 바람직하며, 입지 후보지로는 신의주.남포.해주.청진.김책.함흥.원산 등의 지구는 가공공업형 경제특구로, 금강산.백두산.묘향산 등의 지구는 관광형 경제특구로 적합하다고 제안하였다.

Effects of Task-Oriented programme on Balance and Upper Extremity in stroke (과제 지향적 프로그램이 뇌졸중환자의 균형과 상지기능에 미치는 효과: 단일사례연구)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to assess effects of task oriented programme on balance and upper extremity function in stroke patient. Methods : The subject is right hemiplegia with stroke and participated for 6 weeks. The design of study ABA designed of single subject research. The baseline phase consisted of 5 sessions. The intervention phase consisted of 15 sessions and performed task oriented training. The Maintenance phase consisted of 5 sessions. An assessment of upper extremity function was made using a Manual Function Test(MFT) and balance were assessed by the Time Up and Go test(TUG), Nintendo Wii Balance Board Test. Results : Dynamic balance improved from 51.53 to 42.62. At baseline, difference between left and right of the static balance was an average of 13.8, After treatment, the static balance difference was 6.29 and It was closer to zero than baseline, so static balance has been stable feature. Also, MFT point increased from 6 to 7.6. Conclusion : Task oriented programme can useful in balance and upper extremity function in stroke patient. Further studies need to generalize these findings.

  • This Paper proposed the development of new magnetic sensor and recognition system to expendite pattern recognition of a handwriting character. Received character graphics should be performed the session and balancing and no extraction of end points, bend points and juntions separately. The Artifical intelligence algorithm is adapted to structure snalysis and recognition process by individual basic letter dictionary except for the handwriing character graphic dictionaryimproving error of recognition algorithm and enomous dictionary for generalization. In this Paper, recognition rate of the received character are compared with pre registered character at letter dictionary for performance test of magnetic ball sensor. As a result of unicode conversion and eomparison, the artificial intelligence study have recognition rate more than 95% at initial recognition rate of 70%.

Multiple Mediating Effects in the Path of WLB on Deviant Behavior (일-생활 균형과 일탈행동 경로에서 다중매개 효과)

  • The aim of the present study is to test multiple mediating effects of job-efficacy and resiliance in the links between work-life balance (WLB) and deviant behavior. The date applied in empirical analysis was collected from employees working at Jeju island and 400 sets of questionnaires were spread and among collected 355 sets, 298 sets were used. Hypotheses was examined with SPSS Macro statistical package. As expected, WLB was positively related to job-efficacy and resiliance respectively and negatively associated with deviant behaivor. Moreover, mediating effects of both variables was different, in detail, job-efficacy was fully mediated in that path but not significant in case of resiliance. Findings of this study was to expand the roles of WLB from productive behaviors to counter-productive behaviors and it enables to provide a few theoretical and empirical implications.

  • Thomson(1977) proposed that the equilibrium status can exist among modes when each mode's attractivenesses' are equal. His theories key point is that when the equilibrium status is achieved the additional investment for individual car user such as constructing more roads or widening the existing roads, can lead to more congestion. That's the so called 'Downs-Thomson's Paradox. This paper is intended to demonstrate that the paradox is applicable to Seoul Metropolitan area. Before doing that job, we reviewed Downs-Thomson's paradoxes related Papers such as Mogridge's (1985) research for London case. and Seung Jea-Lee's(2004) research for Seoul. In conclusion, the equilibrium status that Thomson proposed can't be applied to Seoul Metropolitan area. because the suppressed demand's behaviour is different from real situation and that of in the theory.

The Effect of Work-Life Balance of Physical Therapist on Job Enthusiasm (물리치료사의 일과 삶의 균형이 직무열의에 미치는 영향)

  • This study analyzes the effects of the work-life balance of physical therapists on their job enthusiasm. Totally, 109 physical therapists at U city were enrolled in this study. Frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis were the preferred methods of analysis, performed using the SPSS 22.0 program. Multiple regression analysis was performed to evaluate the causal relationship between variables. Our results confirmed that work-family conflict and family-work conflict, which are sub-factors of a work-life balance, did not significantly affect job enthusiasm. Moreover, both the work-family promotion and home-work promotion factors of work-life balance had a positively significant effect on job enthusiasm. This indicates that the work-life balance-conflict factor does not influence the job enthusiasm of a physical therapist. Moreover, a higher work-life balance-promotion of work-family promotion and home-work promotion factor, inculcates a higher job enthusiasm. We believe that results of this study will serve as basic data to formulate plans for physical therapists to maintain an appropriate work-life balance, thereby enhancing their job enthusiasm.

A Case Report of Glancing Up Motor Tic Disorder Managed by Temporomandibular Joint Balancing Therapy with Korean Medicine Treatment (위로 치켜뜨는 운동 틱 장애 환자에 대해 턱관절균형요법을 병행한 한방치료 치험 1례)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Korean medical treatment with Temporomandibular Joint Balancing Therapy (TBT) on Tic disorder patient who often glancing up when feels nerves, frightened or tired. Methods: In this study, Tic disorder patient was treated to △△ Korean medicine Hospital from June 12nd, 2022 to July 26th, 2023 by outpatient way. During the clinic period, the patient was treated by Korean medical treatment (acupuncture, cupping, herb medicine), especially using TBT. YGTSS (Yale Global Tic Severity Scale), NDI (Neck Disability Index) and VAS were used for measuring the Tic disorder and neck pain. Results: After treatment for 46 days, the YGTSS showed a decrease from 17 to 3, the VAS associated with Tic disorder also decreased from 6 to 1 and NDI associated with neck pain decreased from 7 to 4. Conclusions: These results showed that Korean medical treatment especially using TBT may have an effect on reducing symptoms of Tic disorder and neck pain. But the further researches are needed.

Development of Korean Occupational Balance Assessment(K-OBA) Tool (한국형 작업균형 평가도구 개발)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to develop an assessment tool to measure Korean occupational balance. Methods : From March 2017 to July 2019, preliminary questionnaire was prepared through analysis of previous research and expert focus meeting, and preliminary questions were selected through the Delphi survey. In order to verify the validity of the items, Rash analysis was conducted to analyze the persons and items fitness, the distribution of item difficulty, separation reliability, and the appropriateness of the rating scale. Results : Among 141 subjects, 9 (6.38%) in time use and 11 (7.80%) in the occupation area were inappropriate subjects. As a result of analyzing the appropriateness of the items except for the inappropriate subjects, the 3 items were judged as ineligible items, but 1 item of the occupation characteristics was finally deleted based on the theoretical and clinical grounds. In the analysis of the scale, 4 points were more appropriate than the 5 point scale, and the separation reliability was .86~.94. Finally, 3 categories (time use, occupation area, occupation characteristics) and 18 items were selected. Conclusion : The occupational balance assessment tool was selected three categories and 18 questions finally, three categories and 18 questions, and was developed on a four-point Likert scale. Further research needs to prove the concurrent validity of the K-OBA and to analyze the factors that influence the occupational balance.
