The Analysis of the Fish Assemblage Characteristics by Wetland Type (River and lake) of National Wetland Classification System of Wetlands in Gyeongsangnam-do (국가습지유형분류체계의 습지 유형 (하천형과 호수형)에 따른 경남지역 습지의 어류군집 특성 분석)

  • Twenty-nine wetlands (20 river type and 9 lake type wetlands) in Gyeongsangnam-do were investigated to understand the characteristics of fish assemblages by the wetland type and to suggest management strategies. As a result, $10.3{\pm}4.8$ species were collected from river type wetlands on average (${\pm}SD$) and $9.1{\pm}4.1$ species from lake type wetlands. Thus, there was no significant difference in the number of species between them (Mann-Whitney U test, P>0.05). However, the species that constitute the fish assemblage showed statistically significant differences between the two wetland types (PERMANOVA, Pseudo-F=2.9555, P=0.007). Furthermore, the species that contribute the most to each type of fish assemblage were Zacco koreanus (river type, 28.51%) and Lepomis macrochirus (lake type, 23.21%), respectively (SIMPER). The results of the NMDS analysis using the fish assemblage by place classified the species into three groups (river type, lake type, and others). The current wetland management is only focused on endangered species, but this study shows a difference in fish assemblage by wetland type. Therefore, a management system based information on endemic species, exotic species and major contribution species should be provided. Furthermore, the classification of some types of wetlands based on the present topography was found to be ambiguous, and wetland classification using living creatures can be used as a complementary method. This study has limitations because only two types of wetlands were analyzed. Therefore, a detailed management method that can represent every type of wetland should be prepared through the research of all types of wetlands in the future.

생활시간조사에 기반한 노인층 생활유형분석

  • 고령화 사회가 진행되면서 실버산업이 각광을 받고 있으며, 2005년 11월 1일부터 보름간 실시되는 인구주택총조사에서도 고령화와 관련된 항목이 추가 조사됨으로써 고령화 사회에 대비하기 위한 체계적인 준비를 국가차원에서도 하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 2004년 통계청에서 실시한 생활시간조사(Time Use Survey) 자료를 바탕으로 1999년 조사결과와 비교 검토해 보고 노인들이 주어진 24시간을 어떤 형태로 보내고 있는지를 파악하였다. 또한 이를 이용하여 노인들의 생활유형을 군집화하고 군집 간 특성을 살펴보았다.

Types of Health Behavior Clusters and Related Factors among Korean Adults (우리나라 성인의 건강행태군집 유형과 관련요인)

  • This study sought to identify types of health behavior clusters among Korean adults and their related factors. A secondary analysis of 1,441 subjects, aged 19 to 64, in the 2009 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES IV-3) was conducted. A cluster analysis was used to identify types of clusters related to physical activity, smoking, and alcohol drinking. A complex samples chi square test and multivariate logistic regression were performed to analyze the associations between types of health behavior clusters and sample's characteristics using SPSS WIN 21. Five clusters were identified: health promotion, smoking, alcohol drinking, passive attitude, and risky behavior. The passive attitude cluster had the most subjects, with 47.7% of subjects as members. Socio-demographic factors, hypertension, and depressive symptoms were associated with membership in the alcohol drinking, smoking, passive attitude, or risky behavior cluster rather than the health promotion cluster. The findings of this study suggest that integrated health promotion programs incorporating multiple strategies need to be investigated. In addition, further studies should explore psychosocial factors that affect health behavior clusters, such as stress, self-efficacy, social support, and social networks.

Exploring Multidimensional Public Health Data Using Self Organizing Map and GIS (자기조직화지도와 GIS를 이용한 다차원 공중보건자료의 탐구적 분석)

  • This study applied an exploratory analysis based on Self Organizing Map and GIS to cause specific age-standardized regional death rates data related to ten types of male cancers to find meaning patterns in the data. Then the patterns revealed from the exploratory analysis was evaluated to investigate possible relationship between these patterns and regional socio-economic status represented by regional educational attainment levels of head of household. The results from this analysis show that SI-GUN-GUs in Korea can be clustered to eighteen unique clusters in the stand point of male cancer death rates and these clusters are also spatially clustered. Also, the results reveal that regions with higher socio-economic status show lower level of the death rates compared with the regions with lower socio-economic status. However, for some cancer types, the regions with higher socio-economic status show relatively higher death rates. These patterns imply that the prevention, detection, and treatment of male cancers might be strongly affected by regional factors such as socio-economic status, environmental factors, and cultures and norms in Korea. Especially, one of the eighteen clusters, which includes Gangnam-Gu and Seocho-Gu, shows lower death rates in many of male cancer types. This implies that socio-economic status may be one of the most influential factors for regional cancer control.

  • A user should pick up relevant answers by himself from various search results when using user participation question answering community like Knowledge-iN. If refined answers are automatically provided, usability of question answering community must be improved. This paper divides questions in Q&A documents into 4 types(word, list, graph and text), then proposes summarizing methods for each question type using document statistics. Summarized answers for word, list and text type are obtained by question clustering and calculating scores for words using frequency, proximity and confidence of answers. Answers for graph type is shown by extracting user opinion from answers.

  • 지식iN 등의 지식검색 서비스는 잘못된 답변으로 인한 낮은 신뢰성과 다수의 중복 답변 등의 문제점을 가진다. 질의문 '세상에서 가장 큰 나라'에 대해서 관련된 모든 질문과 답변을 제시하지 않고 질의문과 관련된 다수의 답변을 분석하여 답변 '러시아'를 추천하여 제시할 수 있다면 지식검색의 효용성과 신뢰성이 크게 향상될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 질문-답변의 유형을 단어, 글, 도표, 목록의 네가지로 분류하고, 그 중 단어 유형에 대한 답변 추천 방법을 제시한다. 질의문에 대해 검색된 질문을 군집화하고, 질문에 대한 답변들에 대해서 TF, IDF, 어휘간 거리 정보를 다양하게 결합하여 어휘의 점수를 계산한다. 각 군집에서 가장 높은 점수를 가지는 어휘를 해당 군집에서 가장 중요한 어휘로 보고 추천 정답으로 제시한다. 단어 유형인 질문 100개에 대한 네이버 지식iN에 대한 시스템 평가에서 추천된 상위 1위에 대해서는 68%의 정답률을, 상위 5위까지에 대해서는 89%의 정답률을 보였다.

  • Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are a very important tool for the study of human genome structure. Cluster analysis of the large amount of gene expression data is useful for identifying biologically relevant groups of genes and for generating networks of gene-gene interactions. In this paper we compared the clusters of SNPs within asthma group and normal control group obtained by using hierarchical cluster analysis method with entropy distance. It appears that the 5-cluster collections of the two groups are significantly different. We searched the best set of SNPs that are useful for diagnosing the two types of asthma using representative SNPs of the clusters of the asthma group. Here support vector machines are used to evaluate the prediction accuracy of the selected combinations. The best combination model turns out to be the five-locus SNPs including one on the gene ALOX12 and their accuracy in predicting aspirin tolerant asthma disease risk among asthmatic patients is 66.41%.

The Analysis of the Herding Behavior of Korean Institutional Investors: Evidence from the Intraday (일중거래자료를 사용한 기관투자자 군집거래의 분석)

  • There are many literatures about the herding behavior of institutional investors but there is lack of literatures about the relation among several investor groups consisting of institutional investors. So we investigate the relation among sub-institutional investor groups like bank, insurance companies, pension funds using KRX intraday trading data of 2009. As the result, we find that foreign, individual, and securities firm investors trade in the opposite direction of other investor groups including pension funds. And pension, insurance, asset management, private equity funds, other companies, government, and banks are cross-mimicking each other, so we conclude that these investors make herding behavior. In 2009 institutional investors except securities firms make herding in a short period, and insurance, asset management, pension funds and other companies make herding and self-mimicking in all period, but there is no herding and mimicking after foreign investors.

  • Vegetational structure were investigated for evergreen broad-leaved forest in (Mt.) Pulgapsan. Forty plots were classified into five groups, which were Aphananthe aspera community, Neolitesea sericea -Aphananthe aspera - Torreya nucifera community, deciduous broad-leaved forest group. Quercus aliena community, Quercus aliena - Quercus variabilis community by the TWINSPAN and DCA ordination techniques. But the vegetation of (Mt.)Pulgapsan was seem to be unstable structure of seral stage. Neolitsea sericea showed positive correlation to Aphananthe aspera and negative correlation to Quercus aliena. Quercus variabilis, Garpinus tschonoskii.

  • Classified by the characteristics of caves, without academic basis, was used by multiple variables of internal characteristics of caves, such as; the length, the type of features, the genesis, and the square. It is used by cluster analysis as an analysis technique. It is classified in 5 different types from the results of the analysis, and the results say that the diverse classification of visitors' demand is possible.
