Since 2010, there have been phenomena that the recession of key industries has spreaded into a regional crisis, affecting the overall regional economy in Korea. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the regional industrial structure and manufacturing competitiveness has been changed in Gunsan, which is in crisis due to the decline of the shipbuilding and automobile industries. As a result, the pace of change in industrial structure of Gunsan has accelerated, and this is because the mass employment released from the key industries has been absorbed into other industries, but there were no manufacturing fields that could replace the recession of the key industries. Among the manufacturing of Gunsan, the degree of specialization of the basic industries has been gradually weakened, and in addtion, the weakening of location competitiveness has brought a negative impact on the growth rate differential of the manufacturing. It is necessary to closely examine changes in characteristics of regional industrial structure for Gusan to find an alternative direction in order to respond to the manufacturing crisis.

1990년대 이후 지역을 활동이 공간으로 삼는 지역시민ㆍ주민운동은 그 양과 질에 있어서 꾸준한 성장을 보이고 있다. 그리고 최근 지역운동의 흐름을 보면 다양한 영역에서 다양한 실천을 통해서 새로운 모델들을 만들어 가고 있는 것을 볼 수 있다. (지역복지운동단체활동가대회자료집, 2005) 월간Social Worker에서는 이러한 모델들을 주목하고 타지역의 모범이 될수 있는 사례들을 발굴, 보다 많은 지역에 지역복지운동이 학산되기를 바라며 이번호부터 지역복지운동탐방을 연재하고자 한다. 그첫 지역으로 민과 관의 긍정적 네트워크 형성으로 주목을 받고 있는 전라북도 군산시를 찾았다.

In this study, appropriate geosites for geological field trips were explored and measures for their effective utilization in education were discussed, focusing on Okseo-myeon, Sanbuk-dong, Bieung-do, Yami-do, Sinsi-do, and Seonyu-do areas in Gunsan City, Korea. To this end, we analyzed the geological learning elements of the curriculum that were revised in 2015 and selected 7 geosites through field work based on prior research on the study areas. These areas have immense potential as a rich source of information on the Mesozoic geology of the Korean Peninsula, including igneous rocks formed as a consequence of Jurassic and Cretaceous igneous activities, Cretaceous sedimentary rocks, dinosaur footprints, plant fossils, ripple marks, and folds. When the learning elements available at the geosites were compared to those of the curriculum, they contained essentials used in high grade of elementary school and high school, and in particular, they had most of the learning elements used in high school. Accordingly, educational activities that can be carried out in each of the geosites in Gunsan City were proposed.

지난 호의 청년위원회와 진안에 이어 마지막으로 군산을 소개하고자 한다. 군산은 국화사업을 특화사업으로 취진하고 있으며, 지역적으로 국화가 주작목이 아닌 곳임에도 불구하고 타지역을 벤치마킹해서 이 지역에 접목시키려 노력하고 있다. 이제 시작이지만 연합회 차원에서의 활동을 소개하고자 한다. 국회사업 외에도 조직문제 전반에 걸쳐서도 함께 다뤄보았다. 취재는 중앙연합회 송기호 대외협력실장과 박진천 사업관리실 과장이 다녀왔으며, 인터뷰 대상은 최병은 군산시연합회 회장, 김양훈 사무국장이었다.

Objective: In Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do, Korea, we wanted to determine if the sluggish local economy could affect citizens' health behaviors, especially mental health. Methods: We divided Gunsan-si into 5 living areas and conducted Small-Area Estimations and confirmed the modified compound estimation value using the 2013-2017 Community Health Survey data and population data from Gunsan-si. Results: The health behaviors and mental health of the residents of the western living area(Soryong-dong, Misung-dong), which is an industrial hub of Gunsan, had deteriorated or decreased compared to those of other regions. Conclusions: Although there are limitations in analyzing the community health survey data using the small-area estimation method, it could be useful data for evaluating regional gaps and health level.
