Analysis of Core Patent and Technology of Unmanned Ground Technology Using an Analytical Method of the Patent Information (특허정보 분석 방법을 이용한 지상무인화 기술 분야 핵심 특허 및 기술 분석)

  • Unmanned technology is a representative technology that integrates various technologies like electric, electronic, mechanical, artificial intelligence, ICT technology, ect. In special emphasize, ground technology has been developing exponentially in the military field and expanding its utilization area. The patent information analysis method presented in this study, proposes a new patent analysis methodology for patent information analysis and patent information on unmanned ground technology. The patent information analysis processor has 6 levels to extract core patents and technologies. The process consists of: selection of technology to be analyzed, classification of detailed technology / key keyword selection, patent information collection / noise reduction, selection of patent information analysis method, patent information analysis, finally, core patents and key technologies that are extracted. Patent information on unmanned ground technology is also analyzed in this study. First, the technical classification of ground unmanned technology is carried out in detail. The core technology and core patents of ground unmanned technology were extracted through CPP and IPC code connectivity analysis. The results of patent information analysis using proposed patent information analysis method that can be applied to various fields of technology and analysis. These can be used as a material to forecast the direction of future research and development on the technology to be analyzed.

  • Technology trends of coal gasification were studied through patent analysis. The patents published or registered in Korea, U. S. A., Japan and Europe, and administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization from mid 1970s to 2010 were analyzed based on the application tendency, patent share, major applicants and their activity indices, and market power, etc. Japan and U. S. A. led the patent activities in the early phase of technology development, but major applicants had been diversified globally since 2000. Portfolio analysis revealed that the technology was under developing period. The analysis showed that the most active R&D had been focused on gasifier development. Technology competitiveness was analyzed via indices such as cites per patent, patent impact index, technology strength and patent family size, etc. Key patents were extracted through quantification based on patent family size and cites per patent. The technology flow was figured out to reveal the technology trends.

  • Every country of the world in the 21st century is going to push forward the policy protecting their intellectual property right, and international movement to protect their intellectual right is still more strengthened. Under these situations, the firm is required to seek for more efficient methods of technology security and business management while the existence of business itself is at risk. The control of intellectual properties in business should be considered in the patent management. In the company, the industrial property right should be into one of the management resource, and its importance has great influence on the existence of the company. The information in patent data can be used for strategic planning purposes. This study systematically evaluates the patenting behaviour of sample of 27 business firms within the Korean metal industry. Utilizing the patent application data between 2000 and 2005, the relationship between these patenting management and company performance is analysed. This study showed that patent activity per employee and labor productivity are positive relationship, but patent activity per employee and firm size are negative relationship. Since a positive relationship between patenting and company performance could be shown, patent activity gains important as a instrument for R&D planning.

  • Patent contains meaningful technical achievement. There are many cases explaining technology trends from the analysis of frequency of term. Term sometimes has different meaning on fields. In this paper, words from patent titles of US, Japan, Korea PCT and EPO are collected by the 5 categories of WIPO. Frequency changes rate of each word were calculated and high ranked words of 5 categories were analyzed to find relationship between patent and technology development as well as technology trends.

  • e-내비게이션은 유엔 산하 국제해사기구(IMO)가 2020년 국제적인 시행을 목표로 도입한 차세대 해양안전 종합관리시스템이다. 각종 해상 운항정보를 디지털화 해 선박 운항자에게 실시간 맞춤형 정보를 제공해 준다. 육상에서 차량용 내비게이션처럼 선박을 운항하는 데 운항항로, 날씨, 돌발 변수 등을 제공하면서 선박 사고를 줄이는 역할을 한다. 크루즈와 같은 큰 선박부터 작은 낚시용 선박에서도 이용이 가능하다. 해수부는 2020년 이후 약 1,000조원의 시장이 열릴 것으로 내다보고 있다. 진입 장벽이 높은 해상장비 시장에 우리나라도 ICT 강점을 바탕으로 디지털로 변화하는 이 시장에 주도권을 잡기 위해 노력중이다. 이를 위하여 e-내비게이션 분야의 미국 특허정보를 확보하여 DB화 하고, DB에서 제공하는 특허적 행위(M&A, 특허 매입, 신규 R&D 등)를 중심으로 하는 미래기술예측 분석틀을 활용하여 유망기술을 발굴하고자 한다. 미래기술예측 분석틀은 미래기술예측의 3대 주제를 (1) 미래 기술의 대상과 범위, (2) 미래 기술의 주인과 수혜자, (3) 미래 기술로의 투자 시점으로 설정하고, 3~10년까지의 근미래(Near Future Only), 측정 및 검증 가능한 미래(Data Oriented), 미래를 만드는 힘 있는 주체에게만(Activity Oriented) 집중하여 분석을 시도하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, we analyze the research / technology trends of electric vehicles from 2001 to 2014, through keyword analysis using paper data published in SCIE or SSCI Journal on electric vehicles, time series analysis using patent data by IPC, and network analysis using nodeXL. also we predicted promising technologies of electric vehicles using one of the prediction methods, weighted moving average method. As a result of this study, battery technology among the electric vehicle component technologies appeared as a promising technology.

  • A technology is continuously developed in a rapidly changing global market. A company requires an appropriate R&D strategy for adapting to this environment. That is, the technologies owned by the company needs to be thoroughly analyzed to improve its competitiveness. Alternatively, technology classification using IPC codes is carried out recently in an objective and quantitative way. International Patent Classification, IPC is an internationally specified classification system, so it is helpful to conduct an objective and quantitative patent analysis of technology. In this study, all of the patents owned by company C are investigated and a matrix representing IPC codes of each patent is created. Then, a structured association map of the patents is made through association rules mining based on Confidence. The association map can be used to inspect the current situation of a company about patents. It also allows highly associated technologies to be clustered. Using the association map, this study analyzes the technologies of company C and how it changes with time. The strategy for future technologies is established based on the result.

  • 과거보다 더욱 다양하고 복잡한 기술이 적용된 사무기기의 기술표준 제정 문제는 매우 중요하고 시급한 현안이라 할 수 있겠으나 여전히 각 국가별 기술 수준의 차이와 표준적용에 수반되는 특허 이슈 등이 아직도 많은 부분 발목을 잡고 있는 것이 현실이다. 기술표준의 제정은 한 국가의 중요한 기간산업의 흥망을 좌우하게 할 만큼 중요성은 아무리 강조해도 지나치지 않는다는 점에서 본 고에서는 최근 사무환경 변화 및 국제 표준화 활동을 정리하고 우리가 나아갈 방향에 대해 짚어보았다.

  • 본회가 주최한 제 129회 발명 교실이 지난 11월 12일 발명장려관 연구실에서 개최되었다. 매월 둘째 토요일 오후 1시 30분에 개최되는 발명교실은 이 달에도 1백여명이 참석하여 성황을 이루었다. 이날 발명교실에서는 국제언어학원 송미옥 원장의 발명성공사례 발표와 김영화 변리사의 산업재산권제도 해설에 이어 새생각회 강신묵회장의 발명의 발상기법에 대한 강의가 있었다. 발명가의 성공사례를 간추려 소개한다.
