대한민국 물류산업 발전을 위해 노력해온 (사)한국물류협회(회장: 서병륜)가 물류기업을 대표하면서 대한민국 기업의 물류혁신을 선도하는 협회로 다시 성장하기 위한 제 2의 도약을 실시한다. 지난 20여년 동안 축적한 물류관련 전문 노하우를 바탕으로 2006년부터는 국내뿐만 아니라 해외의 물류발전에도 노력한다는 전략이다. 대한민국 물류선진화를 위해 앞장서고 있는 2006 한국물류협회의 추진사업을 미리 살펴보았다.

지난 11월 16일 대한상공회의소 국제회의실에서 제14회 한국물류대상 시상식이 개최되었다. 매년 물류산업의 발전에 혁신적인 공헌을 한 기업이나 개인에게 주는 물류대상은 그 위상이 날로 높아지고 있다. 물류대상의 위상이 매년 높아지는 이유에는 여러 관계자들의 노고와 더불어 한국물류대상 집행위원장인 김정환 한국물류전략연구소 소장의 역할이 매우 크다. 김정환 위원장은 지난 30여년동안 국내 물류표준화와 물류인력 양성에도 남다른 애정과 열의를 가지고 물류정책 조언과 지원을 통해 국내 물류산업의 발전에 크게 이바지하여 온 분이다. 이 분만큼 물류산업에 많은 열정을 가지고 있는 분은 드물다. 김 위원장은 1980년 (주)태평양 물류본부장으로 부임하여 1990년까지 물류현장에서 실무를 담당한 실무형 이론가로써 국가물류와 기업물류 발전을 위한 컨설팅 능력을 유감없이 발휘해온 물류인으로 평가받고 있다. 우리나라에서 처음으로 물류 표준화를 실시하여 KS규격 파렛트인 T-11형을 도입하고 처음으로 파렛트 수송을 시작하여 물류합리화의 모델을 제시하였다. 이후 1992년, 김위원장은 사단법인 한국물류협회 전무이사로 부임하여 1997년에는 협회 상근 부회장직을 역임하여 회원사의 물류개혁, 표준화, 합리화, 교육훈련을 적극 지원, 우리나라 물류산업 발전에 지대한 성과를 이룩하여온 인물이다. 고희를 넘긴 고령에 지난해 위암수술을 받았다고 하기에는 믿기지 않을 만큼 정정하신 김위원장은 현재에도 물류산업발전과 물류인재 양성에 정열을 쏟고 있다.

This paper analyzes comparatively business performance indicators and determinants of small and medium sized shipping logistics companies in Korea, using 2015 economic census data. For this purpose, this study estimates various business performance indicators according to 2015 small and medium sized companies classification standards, including operating income to sales and gross value-added to sales. In addition, this study analyzes determinants of business performance using generalized least squares models. The results indicate that average sales, operating income and value-added, sales and operating income per worker, operating income to sales, and material cost to sales of large sized companies are higher than those of small and medium sized companies. The business performance indicators differ by industry and size. Moreover, the determinants of business performance are analyzed in terms of the unemployment rate (-), number of employees (-), sales (+), labor cost ratio (+), and labor cost per employee (-) and the impacts of the individual explanatory variables based on elasticity are different. Finally, this quantitative information could be used to improve the business performance of domestic shipping logistics companies.

Local freight forwarder's circle is suffering worsening profitability and insecure employment from over-competition which caused by a saturated local logistics market. It is emerging UN procurement market for local freight forwarders. However it is needed to study on successful entry, market status and supporting measures from government and research institute. Currently there are no national research data of UN procurement market in logistics sectors but as per the writer's experience and viewpoint to UN bidding, it would seem that appropriate measures should be made such as government's enhanced support for overseas advancement, price competitiveness, building global network and development of education program for trainees associated with current overseas internship program by government.

우리 정부는 해외진출 기업의 국제 경쟁력 강화 및 해운 물류기업의 해외진출 지원 강화 등을 통한 글로벌 물류강국 실현을 목표로 하고 있다. 이러한 정책목표 실현을 위해서는 젊고 유능한 청년 국제물류 인력양성과 함께 그들의 해외진출 정주지원사업 추진의 필요성이 높다. 본 연구는 국내 청년 물류인력의 해외진출 지원을 위한 기업과 청년들의 인식 조사 분석 및 K-MOVE 사업의 고도화 및 확대 방안으로서 베트남을 대상으로 한 정주지원사업을 구상하였다.

Nowadays, there is increasing demand for a training program to transfer advanced knowledge of shipping and port logistics with the investments in overseas shipping and port market. A current training program in the field of shipping and port logistics has a short-term achievement, but domestic logistics companies do not utilize the training program to penetrate into the overseas market. Therefore, this paper investigates domestics logistics companies' overseas business activities, and current operation and problems of a training program. In addition, this paper presents how to utilize a training program for domestics shipping and port logistics companies to penetrate successfully into the overseas market.

전자 상거래의 증가에 따른 물적 흐름의 증가와 기업의 경쟁력 확보를 위한 물류비용 최소화는 이미 큰 이슈가 되었다. 또한 성공적인 비즈니스를 수행하기 위해 전통적인 기업프로세스에서 벗어나 기업간 경계를 뛰어 넘는 기업간의 물류업무에 대한 협업은 필수 요소가 되어가고 있다. 물류 처리의 효율성 향상과 기업간의 협업을 위해서는 개방형 정보 인프라를 통한 물적 흐름의 가시성과 즉시성이 확보되어야 하는데 이러한 것은 정보통신 기술을 이용한 다자간 협업 물류 기술로 해결할 수 있다. 하지만 전자상거래에 참여하는 상당수의 기업은 그 규모가 크지 않아 이러한 정보시스템을 구축하기가 쉽지만은 않은 상황이다. 본 기고에서는 다자간 협업 물류의 정의와 다자간협업 물류를 개발, 운영하고 있는 선진 물류사업자와 국내의 사례를 분석하여, 이후 관련 시스템 개발에 분석 및 비교 자료로 활용되고자 한다.

우리나라 산업단지의 수출경쟁력은 중국 등 주변 국가들의 원가에 상대적으로 취약하다. 수출경쟁력 차원에서 원가를 구성하는 항목들은 여러가지가 있겠으나, 원가절감이 가능한 항목은 그리 많지 않다. 본 연구에서는 국내 수출기업들의 수출경쟁력 향상을 위해 해상물류비용의 절감이 가능한 방안을 탐색하여 연구하였다. 특히 해외에서 소금과 같은 살화물을 수입하고 공선으로 나가 다시 수입하는 벌크선의 경우에는 국내에서 공선상태로 나가는 선박을 대상으로 컨테이너 적재가 가능한 겸용선으로 개조하여 운항시에 컨테이너로 수출하는 해상물류비용을 낮출 수 있다. 따라서 산업단지의 수출기업들이 이를 활용하면 해상물류비용을 획기적으로 낮출수 있으므로 수출경쟁력을 향상시킬수 있고, 이러한 절감방안 모델은 정부, 항만운영사업자, 수출기업 및 하역사업자 모두에게 도움이 되는 모델로 해상물류비용을 절감하기 위해 충분한 연구 가치가 있다.

Based on the efficient supply chain management which will be derived the customer satisfaction, the developing strategies about the scale and location of distribution center(DC) is a very important decision factors to improve the logistics cost efficiency. To do this, we will analyze the conventional DCs' location and cost which belongs to 'D' grocery company operating in Korea and propose the useful way for relocating and establishing DC in company to satisfy the reduction target of logistics cost.
