THE RECOVERY TECHNIQUE OF ERRONEOUS BLOCKS BASED ON THE SPATIAL INTERPOLATION (영상의 공간적 보간을 응용한 손상된 영상 구획의 복원 기법)

  • 본 논문에서는 공간적 보간을 응용하여 손상된 영상 구획의 데이터를 복원하는 기법을 제시한다. 이러한 기법은 손상된 영상을 부가 정보 없이 복원하는 오류 은폐의 핵심으로 Park[3], Wang[4], Sun[9], Lee[7], Hemami[8] 등에 의해서 여러 가지 기법들이 제안되었다. 그러나 이러한 기법들은 단순히 주변 구획과의 경계면에서의 연속성만을 고려하여 복원하므로 구획 내부의 데이터를 복원하는데 한계가 있으며 계산량도 많은 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 기존의 기법들의 단점을 극복하기 위하여 Non-Unform Rational B-Spline(NURBS)을 응용한 복원 기법을 제안한다. 제시된 주변 구획의 오류 유무와 윤곽선의 방향에 따라 주변 구획의 화소 정보에 할당되는 가중치를 적절히 변경하여 NURBS를 적용한다. 따라서 윤곽선의 방향을 더욱 견실하게 복원함으로써 주관적, 객관적 관점에서 기존의 기법보다 우수한 영상 구획 복원 성능을 얻을 수 있다. 정지 영상에 대한 컴퓨터 모의 실험 결과 제안하는 알고리듬을 기존의 기법보다 30% 구획 손실율에서 0.5 dB이상 성능 향상을 얻을 수 있음을 관찰하였다.

  • Loss of human lives and properties including environmental damage due to large scale accidents requires change of our perception to marine safety. IMO is trying to re-establish overall marine safety system through long term plan such as GBS. Along this line, current regulation based safety evaluation is in process of changing into performance based methods, and for this transition, simulation based safety evaluation during design stage considering damage is highly necessary. In this paper, first, damage scenario is developed from IMO regulations and accident case studies. Then an integrated and simulation based safety evaluation prototype system considering both damage stability and structural safety is developed for the use during ship design process.

  • 본 논문에서는 점진적 메쉬의 보다 엄밀한 의미에서의 선택적 세분화 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 선택적 세분화 방법은 정점분할 및 에지붕괴 연산이 수행되기 위해서는 현재의 1-고리 이웃 상황이 점진적 메쉬 분석 단계에 기억해 놓은 1-고리 이웃과 같을 때만 올바로 동작하도록 되어 있는 증가적 방법이다. 이러한 증가적 방법은 메쉬의 부분적 해상도 변경을 하게 되면 인접한 부분의 해상도가 그 부분의 해상도를 좇아가게 되는 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법은 점진적 메쉬 표현이 가지는 정점의 계층적 구획화 성질에 기반한 것으로, 원하는 메쉬의 부분에 대해 해상도를 변경할 때, 인접 부분의 정점분할 및 에지붕괴 연산을 초래하지 않아 보다 엄밀한 의미에서의 점진적 메쉬의 선택적 세분화를 수행할 수 있다.

Analysis of the Working Conditions of Screen Fire Shutters in the Goyang Bus Terminal Fire (고양종합터미널화재 시 스크린방화셔터의 작동실태 분석)

  • This study analyzed the working conditions and problems of screen fire shutters in the Goyang Bus Terminal fire based on the fire investigation results. At that time, screen fire shutters in the 1st basement, which was under construction, did not work because the power was shut off. Four screen fire shutters in the 1st and 3rd floor did not work despite the power not being shut off. The following problems related to a screen fire shutter were found: shutting off the power to screen fire shutters for the fire compartment on each floor, even when the fire compartments were changed in each area; installing an integral type screen fire shutter without any regulations, installing a two-stage screen fire shutter in a place not related to obstacles during evacuation; stopping the function of the screen fire shutters for a fire compartment on each floor after a combustible sandwich panel was comparted; installing a screen fire shutter over 10 meters in width, in which its performance was not verified; and no safety control standards for reinstalling or maintaining a screen fire shutter.

Spatial Optimization Approaches to Redistricting for National Assembly Election: A Case Study on Yongin City (공간 최적화 기법을 이용한 국회의원 선거구 획정 -용인시를 사례로-)

  • Redistricting of National Assembly Election has a significant effect on the results of election because it has a strong tendency to be performed with political intentions rather than the equivalent representativeness of population and region. This paper focuses on proposing an alternative for restricting of National Assembly Election in terms of implementation, that is, an procedural and systematic approach, not allowing for political or arbitrary intervention. A spatial optimization model conforming with criteria for political redistricting such as population equality, contiguity, and spatial compactness is developed and applied to Yongin City where are some controversy over the redistricting of the 19th National Assembly. Modeling results show that it is possible to derive National Assembly Election districts based on the information of basic spatial units without political consideration or arbitrary intervention. In addition, The districts derived from the model improved population equality compared with the existing districts.

  • Since a ship is a complex steel construction which consists of sculptured surfaces and inner surface members, a high technique of information modeling is indispensable to describe the form of hull surface and steel structure members consistently. A model contains both topological and geometrical information of the structural members. Therefore, the hull form should be represented by the wireframe of surface model so that the accuracy in each design stage is satisfied. The structural members like plane surfaces, stiffeners and the relations between such members are to be described systematically in data base. A collection of the data stored in database is a model to be built. The model will be used not only to generate the drawings and documents for ship design and production but also to interconnect other systems such as compartmentation, outfitting, piping, etc. Computer graphics is adopted of the visualization of model.

Study of Design Standard Establishment of Vehicle Rotation Area in the Dead-end Parking Lot (막다른주차장내 차량회전구간 설계기준 정립에 관한 연구)

  • This study points out a problem that the vehicle rotation area provided in a dead-end parking lot for apartment blocks is misused as unreasonable parking places but accordingly, the edge parking spaces are rarely used for parking. Therefore, this study aims to establish a parking design standard to improve the parking convenience and land-use efficiency by investigating the real parking behaviors and problems identified in the study area, multiple apartment blocks in Haeundae-gu, Busan. This study calculated two simple linear regression models for two mutually exclusive factors, such as the parking convenience and land-use efficiency, respectively, and specified a trade-off point that optimizes both factors. The study results found that parking convenience and land-use efficiency can be improved by not only changing the misused vehicle rotation area to normal parking spaces depending on the usage pattern, but also by increasing the width of the edge parking spaces from 2.3m to 2.6m. Finally, this study suggests two parking design cases for more realistic design applications by considering the parking environment in the dead-end parking lot for apartment blocks.

  • 우리나라는 하천법 및 소하천정비법에 의거하여 하천기본계획 수립 또는 하천의 지정 및 변경고시 시 하천구역을 지정하고 있다. 하천구역은 일반적으로 제방부지 및 제방하심측 토지경계를 기준으로 지정하나, 제방이 존재하지 않는 무제부 구간의 경우 명확한 제방경계가 없는관계로 하천법 제 10조 3항에서 5항까지 별도의 기준을 통해 하천구역 지정을 권장하고 있는 실정이다. 하천구역 설정 시 기준으로 삼는 횡단측점 자료의 경우 그 특성상 하천의 종단방향으로 불연속적인 특징을 갖고 있어 평면상 정확한 경계의 파악이 어려우며, 도로·철도 등 선형시설경계를 하천구역으로 설정 시 편입용지의 보상기준이 모호하여 다량의 민원이 발생하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 하천정비 시 기본계획이 수립되어 각 횡단측점별 결정된 계획홍수위를 기반으로 인접 지형의 홍수위 영향범위를 자동으로 추출하여 하천구역을 정밀하게 결정할 수 있는 방법론을 정립하고자 한다. 첫째로, 하천중심선의 각 측점의 위치정보와 하천의 지형을 위상정보체계로 구성하여 DB를 구축하였다. 둘째로, 측선과 측선사이 절점에 계획홍수위를 선형보간하여 부여하고 이를 지형도의 최단거리에 위치한 지형의 격자표고와 비교해 침수여부를 판단한다. 셋째, 최단거리 지형격자가 침수로 판단될 시 인접한 8개 지형격자의 지형표고와 홍수위를 비교하여 반복적으로 위 과정 수행을 통해 계획홍수위 기반 침수범위를 추출한다. 마지막으로, 이를 수치지형도에 중첩시켜 최종 정밀 하천구역을 결정할 수 있다. 이를 이용하여 산정된 정밀한 하천구역 경계설정을 통해 하천 내사유지 편입을 최소화함과 동시에 명확한 하천구역 구획기준을 정립하여 토지소유주와 담당부처 간 논의 시 기반자료로 활용될 수 있고, 하천구역의 신속하고 정확한 구역설정을 통해 하천인근의 토지이용 고도화 및 효율적인 이용이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

An Application of Construction Sequence Analysis for Checking Structural Stability of High-Rise Building under Construction (초고층 건물의 시공 중 구조적 안정성 검토를 위한 시공단계해석의 적용)

  • With recent trends of super-tallness, atypical plan shapes and zoning constructions in high-rise buildings, a structural stability of the building under construction is arising as a key issue for design and construction plan. To ensure the structural stability under construction, the differential column shortening of vertical members, the lateral displacement of tower frames, and differential settlement of raft foundation by unbalanced distributions of a tower self-weight before the completion of a lateral load resisting system should be checked by construction sequence analysis, which should be performed by systematic combinations with structural health monitoring, construction compensation program, and construction panning. This paper presents the scheme of zone-based construction sequence analysis by using the existing commercial analysis program, to check the stability of high-rise building under construction. This scheme is applied to 3-dimensional structural analysis for a real high-rise building under construction. The analysis includes real construction zoning plans and schedules as well as creep and shrinkage effects and time-dependent properties of concrete. The simplified construction sequence and assumed material properties were continuously updated with the change on construction schedule and correlations with in-situ measurement data.

Transient Heat Transfer Analysis and Fire Test for Evaluation on Fire Resistance Performance of A60 Class Deck Penetration Piece (A60급 갑판 관통 관의 방화성능 평가를 위한 과도 열전달 해석과 화재시험)

  • A60 class deck penetration piece is a fire-resistance apparatus installed on the deck compartment to protect lives and prevent flame diffusion in fire accidents. In case that the A60 piece is newly developed or its initial design is revised, it is important to verify the fire resistance performance using a fire test procedure (FTP) code. In this paper, transient heat transfer analysis was carried out to evaluate the fire resistance design compatibility of the newly devised A60 piece. The analysis results were verified via a fire test. The heat transfer characteristics were also investigated by comparing design specifications, such as diameter, internal configuration, and material type. The analysis was performed using ABAQUS/Implicit, and the fire test was performed according to the FTP code. The fire resistance performance of the A60 pieces satisfied the safety of life at sea convention regulation. The material type was the most important design specification for the A60 piece. Based on the maximum test temperature, the measured temperature of SUS316L material was 25% lower than that of S45C on average. The differences between thermal conductivity and specific heat of each material were 17% and 58%, respectively.
