Lava-calcification of the volcanic cave in Jeju-do island (제주도 화산동굴의 용암석회질화 -제주도 북제주군 협재리 건지굴 중심-)

  • The lava-calcification which was found in Geunjisul located in Jeju-do (Korea) was investigated to analyse the cause of calcification through the internal factor of cave structure and surroundings in company with relevant ecological system. The volcanic cave is degenerated after formation from volcano lava extravasation, however, the cave became more stronger with solidification and petrification by the reinforced structure of calcification as the cement in concrete buildings unprecedentedly if the lava-calcification occurred in the cave. Such a Progressive Phenomena of lava-calcification was verified in progress first in Geonjigul located at Hyubjae-ri, but those would be found in other simiiar case of caves distributed and connected with seaside of shelly sand beach.

  • Electrical apparatuses for use in the presence of explosive gas atmospheres have to be special designed to prevent them from igniting the explosive gas. Flameproof design implies that electrical components producing electrical sparks are contained in enclosures and withstand the maximum pressure of internal gas or vapours. In addition, any gaps in the enclosure wall have to designed in such a way that they will not transmit a gas explosion inside the enclosure to an explosive gas or vapours atmosphere outside it. In this study, we explained some of the most important physical mechanism of Maximum Experimental Safe Gap(MESG) that the jet of combustion products ejected through the flame gap to the external surroundings do not have an energy and temperature large enough to initiate an ignition of external gas or vapours. We measured the MESG and maximum explosion pressure of propane and acetylene by the test method and procedure of IEC 60079-20-1:2010.When the minimum MESG is measured, the concentration of propane, acetylene in the air is higher than the stoichiometric point and their explosion pressure is the highest value.

  • 본 논문에서는 4 m 길이의 핵연료 집합체를 지지하는 스페이서 그리드 외관의 이상 상태를 자동으로 검출하기 위한 영상처리 알고리즘에 대해 기술한다. 원자로 가동 중에는 중성자 조사와 고온 고압 냉각수의 열 유동에 의한 물리적 작용으로 정방 격자구조로 되어 있는 연료봉이 늘어나거나 휘어져 연료봉 틈새 간격이 좁아지고 냉각수의 원활한 유동이 방해를 받게 됨에 따라 연료봉을 지지하는 스페이서 그리드의 변형이 초래될 수 있다. 스페이서 그리드 간격의 변화를 자동으로 추출하는 영상처리 알고리즘을 개발하여 스페이서 그리드의 이상 상태를 자동으로 인식할 수 있게 하였다. 실험 영상으로는 스웨덴 Ahlberg 사의 4면 검사장치에 의해 수행된 경수로형 핵연료 집합체의 검사 동영상을 이용하였다.

  • 21세기에 들어서서 새로운 신에너지원으로 각광을 받는 연료전지는 지구온난화의 영향으로 청정에너지를 더욱더 필요로 하는 에너지를 부상시켰다. 2000년을 기점으로 다양한 연료전지기술들이 다양한 응용분야에 기술개발이 이루어지고 있으며 2004년에는 11,000기 이상의 연료전지제품이 출시되는 등 급속한 발전을 거두고 있다. 특히 연료전지 제품의 시장화에 앞장서고 있는 수송용 연료전지는 차세대자동차의 대체 상품으로 지목받으면서 메이커 중심으로 상용화에 노력을 배가하고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 연료전지의 전반적인 시장구조를 살펴보고, 특히 수송용 연료전지의 시장과 산업에 관하여 분석하고 틈새시장 진입을 위한 전략을 제시하였다.

  • 정보화사업은 사회 다른 어느 분야보다 눈부신 발전을 보이고 있으며, 중앙부처는 전국공동활용체계 구축, 그리고 행정업무의 능률 제고를 위한 각종 사업들을 역점 추진하고 있다. 그러나 정보화 사업은 중앙부처 위주로 추진되어 개별기관별, 단위사업별로 정보화가 이루어지고 있다. 또한, 기초자치단체의 경우 종합적인 정보시스템추진계획 구도와 전략의 부재로 인해 다양한 정보화 사업들이 부서별로 산발적으로 추진되고 있으며, 이는 사업추진의 분할손은 물론 사업간 연계를 통한 상승작용을 저해하는 주 요인으로 작용할 가능성이 노출되고 있다. 중앙부처의 표준시스템의 개발 및 보급은 그 수용대상인 기초자치단체의 행정정보화를 앞당길 수 있는 긍정적인 영향과 더불어 기초자치단체의 수용능력여부에 따라 기초자치단체의 행정정보화는 그 혼란을 더욱 가중하는 부정적인 영향을 줄 수도 있음을 시사하고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 표준시스템의 긍정적인 영향만을 인식하고 있는 구조를 파악함은 물론 간과하고 있는 부정적인 영향을 시스템사고를 이용하여 이해함으로써 표준시스템의 보급으로 인한 기초자치단체로의 역기능을 최소화하고, 그에 역동적으로 대처할 수 있는 방안으로 조직 측면에서는 CIO제도의 활성화와 정보담당조직위상의 제고를, 시스템 측면에서는 표준시스템과 기존시스템간의 GAP 분석을 통한 틈새도출 및 보강을, 데이터 측면에서는 공유정보제공시스템 구축을 통한 데이터 자원의 활용을 그 대안으로 제안하고 있다

Elasto-plastic behaviour of joint by inserting length of H-beam and structural laminated timber (H형강과 구조용집성재의 삽입길이에 따른 접합부의 탄소성 거동)

  • In some cases, wooden structures are used for medium-rise buildings. It is therefore necessary to develop and test a new structural system for medium-rise buildings using wooden structures. This study deals with high-performance, laminated, timber-based composite members, which consist of structural laminated timber and H-beam. Simple beam tests were performed to determine the strength, stress distributions, and failure patterns of laminated timber. The main parameters are the insertinglength (1, 1.5, and 2 times the H-beam height) and the epoxy between the top/bottom flange of the H-beam and the top/bottom flange of the laminated timber. The results of the test show that the specimen with an inserting length that is 2 times the H-beam height was characterized by fairly god strength and stiffness.

  • Fire resistance performance and performance design of fire doors are becoming more important to prevent the spread of fire and support the rapid evacuation of apartment buildings. In this study, a database using 182 evacuation spaces and 308 common areas that passed the fire performance test was established, and fire door performance influencing factors were derived through an analysis of the structure(12 elements) of the fire door. As a result, the effects of fire-resisting filler density, adhesive, and foam gasket were confirmed for evacuation space, and the effects of fire-resisting filler, adhesive, and fire fins were confirmed for common areas. In the fire door fire resistance test, flames and cracks were analyzed as the most frequent failure factors.

  • The M/sub 1-x/Na/sub 2x/Al₂(BO₃)₂O (M = Ca and Sr) solid solution systems have been shown interstitial solid solutions and continuous substitutional solid solutions. The symmetry around the Eu site of yEu/sup 3+/ : M/sub 1-x/Na/sub 2x/Al/sub 2-y/Mg/sub /(BO₃)₂O (M = Ca and Sr) changes the intensities and the chromaticities of transitions. The Eu/sup 3+/ion can be very bright and efficient and have the desired emission wave-length depending on the site symmetry of the Eu/sup 3+/ion site. As the amount of Na in the Eu/sup 3+/ion doped Ca/sub 1-x/Na/sub 2x/Al₂(BO₃)₂O system increases, the Eu site symmetry is going to be a noncentrosymmetric site. With increasing x, the decreased intensity in the /sup 5/D/sub 0/→/sup 7/F₁(590 nm) transition relates to the low symmetry of the Eus/up 3+/-doped Ca/sub 1-x/Na/sub 2x/Al₂(BO₃)₂O system, because of the Ca-centered octahedron in the CaAl₂(BO₃)₂O compound. The SrAl₂(BO₃)₂O compound also provides an improved chromaticity due to the lower site symmetry of Eu/sup 3+/ion.

The Spatio-Temporal Characteristics of Primary School Children's Daily Life Activities (초등학생 일상생활활동의 시.공간적 특성)

  • The daily life activities of primary school children have been increasingly diversified. This research examined the spatio-temporal characteristics of primary school children's daily life activities. The time allocation of primary school children's daily activities was monotonous. They tended to spend most of their time in school activities, private lessons after school, and studying at home. The daily trip to school has been diversified as the result the of increase in the number of double-income families, car owners, facilities for pastime, and educational facilities for private lessons after school. The selection of educational facilities for private lessons was strongly influenced by accessibility to the residence because of the limited time budget of primary school children and the controlled trip behavior by parents. The leisure activities were considered as a minor function and took place in the interval of performances of study-related activities. The high proportion of leisure activities was found in the indoor play. The amount of the time for leisure activity was very insufficient. The spatial range and time budget were strongly influenced by the institutional conditions of parents.

  • There has been no enough consistency about the question of 'Is it possible for golden section to be applied to product design\ulcorner'In addition, There has been no near answer about 'What is proportion\ulcorner and 'How can proportion be approached\ulcorner About this matter, this study identified various types of proportion through experiment design and consumer surrey. According to the results of this study, various and different types of proportion exist in product design and therefore, proportion in product design couldn't be considered by one-dimensional aesthetic element. This kind of study about the types of proportion could give an good answer abort the matter of 'Is it possible for golden section to be applied to product design\ulcorner'and it's expected practically to give a useful insight to the approach of Product design in Which proportion is considered. In addition, preferred proportion structure is different according to the consumer characteristic, successful design strategy such as niche market penetration could be performed if designers classify consumer characteristic systematically.
