A Study on the Evaluating Shrinkage Cracking Properties of Concrete by Size of Specimen of Plat-Ring Restrained Test Method (판상-링형 구속시험방법의 시험체 치수에 따른 콘크리트 수축균열 특성 평가에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, it is willing to present that fundamental data for proposing quantitatively shrinkage cracking evaluation method such as plat-ring type restrained test method. To examine suitable size of specimen of plat-ring type restrained test method, Evaluated concrete about restrained shrinkage crack properties of numerical analysis of 3D solid element using the MIDAS program, drying shrinkage deformation, restrained shrinkage stress, crack area and crack point with inside ring diameter of specimen in 100mm, 150mm, 200mm and high of Specimen in 30mm, 50mm after curing in condition of constant temperature and usual habit of temperature 20${\pm}$3$^{\circ}$C, humidity 60${\pm}$5%. As a result, it was available about suitable estimation with inside ring diameter of specimen in more than 150mm and high of Specimen in 50mm. Hereafter, it is considered that the study concerning environmental condition and mixing factor in plat-ring type restrained test method is need.

Use of Parametric Generalized Coordinates for Kinematic Constraint Formulation of Low Degree-of-Freedom Joints (저자유도 조인트의 구속조건 생성을 위한 파라메트릭 일반좌표 이용)

  • In multibody mechanical systems, low-degree-of-freedom (DOF) joints such as revolute and translational joints are much more frequently used than high-DOF joints. In order to formulate kinematic constraint equations, especially for low-DOF joints, in an efficient and systematic manner, this paper presents a parametric generalized coordinate formulation as a new approach for describing constraint equations. In the proposed approach, joint constraint equations are formulated in terms of a mixed set of Cartesian and parametric generalized coordinates, which drastically reduces the complexity and computational cost of the partial derivatives of the constraints such as the constraint Jacobian. The proposed formulation is validated using a simple cylinder-crank system with an implicit integrator.

A Study on the Development of Plat-Ring Restrained Test Method for Evaluating Early Age Shrinkage Crack of Concrete (콘크리트의 초기수축균열 평가를 위한 판상-링형 구속시험방법 개발에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, it is willing to present that fundamental data for proposing quantitatively shrinkage cracking evaluation method such as plat-ring type restrained test method. It is possible to decide that specimen diameter is s 150mm with evaluating restrained shrinkage crack properties of concrete according to change of ring diameter in specimen. Also, effectiveness of test method according to mixing of PVA fiber is evaluated as part of a repeatability verification experiment of plat-ring type restrained test method using ring which diameter is 150mm. As a result, it is possible to measure the crack due to the plastic shrinkage which was occurred within 48hours at early age with plat-ring type restrained test method. Hereafter, it is considered that the study concerning environmental condition and mixing factor in plat-ring type restrained test method is need.

  • Vibration analysis methods of a beam-column with elastically restrained ends and various intermediate constraints such as rectilinear springs, rotational springs and concentrated masses are presented. Firstly, an exact method of solutions based on Hamilton's principle and Laplace transform method is shown. This method of solutions is very complicate in cases of having Intermediate constraints more than two. Therefore, Rayleigh-Ritz method using the eigenfunctions of the base system, the system without intermediate constraints, are also investigated. Extensive numerical examples carried out for comparisons with known published works show that the latter method has easy adaptability for wide varieties of boundary conditions and intermediate constraints, and gloves good accuracy for various intermediate constraints with reasonable number of terms in construction of a trial function.

  • This paper presents experimental and analytical studies on the lateral cyclic behavior of RC columns actively confined with iron-based shape memory alloy (Fe-SMA) strips. Based on the Anexperimental study, we investigated the effectiveness of active confinement through compression testings of concrete cylinders confined by Fe SMA strips and carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets. The test results showed that the specimens confined with Fe SMA strips significantly increased the deformation capacity of the concrete, even under lower confining pressures, compared to those specimensconfined with CFRP sheets. The experimental results were used to develop finite-element models of RC columns confined with Fe SMA or CFRP in their plastic-hinge region. After validating the proposed analytical model through comparison with the results from a previous RC column test, a series of lateral cyclic load analyses were carried out for the RC columns confined with Fe SMA and CFRP. The analytical results revealed that the lateral cyclic behavior of the Fe SMA-confined column was greatly enhanced in terms of deformation and energy dissipation capacities compared with tothat of the as-built and CFRP-confined columns.

  • Unlike structures installed on land, the structures installed on the offshore ground must consider long-term cyclic loads such as wave loads, wind loads and tidal loads at sea. Therefore, it is important to analyze the behavior of the ground subjected to long-term cyclic loads in order to design a structure installed on the ocean ground. In this paper, cyclic simple shear tests were performed to analyze the ground behavior for long-term cyclic loads according to the confining pressure, and a three-dimensional design failure curve was prepared that can easily check the failure characteristics according to the confining pressure. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the position of the design failure curve is different depending on the confining pressure even under the same conditions of the cyclic shear stress ratio and the average shear stress ratio, and the number of cyclic loads reaching failure is affected by the confining pressure. From the created 3-D design failure curve under different confining pressure, the tendency and approximate value of the design failure curve according to the confining pressure can be estimated.

  • 출판인 구속사태가 잇따르고 있다. 출판계에서는 문민정부 출범 이후 처음 있는 이같은 출판인 구속이 점차 그 범위가 확대되고 있는 게 아닌가 의아해 하고 있다. 특히 지난 4월 15일 대검찰청이 '좌익출판물에 대한 일제단속'을 전국 검찰과 경찰에 지시한 바 있어, 앞으로 출판물에 대한 국가보안법 적용이 어떤 식으로 진행될지 그 귀추가 주목된다.

  • 전기로 산화 슬래그 골재는 철강산업의 부산물을 재활용한다는 측면에서 친환경적일 뿐만 아니라 고갈되고 있는 골재자원을 대체할 수 있다는 측면에서 중요한 가치를 지닌다. 본 연구에서는 다량의 철성분을 함유하고 있어 높은 밀도를 나타내는 전기로 산화슬래그 골재를 사용한 친환경 콘크리트의 횡구속 성능에 관하여 검토하였다. 이 실험에서는 전기로 산화슬래그 굵은 골재 및 잔골재를 적용한 콘크리트 공시체를 제작하여 천연 굵은 골재와 잔골재를 적용한 콘크리트의 횡구속 거동을 파악하였다. 실험변수는 콘크리트 제작에 사용한 골재의 종류, 횡보강에 사용한 나선 철근의 항복강도로 하였다. 실험결과 전기로 산화슬래그 골재를 사용하였을 경우 천연골재를 사용한 실험체와 유사한 횡구속 효과를 보였다.

  • 강재의 고강도화는 원자재 부족을 해결할 수 있는 방안으로 친환경적이며 인간의 문명을 지속가능하게 하는 방법으로 인식 되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고강도 강재의 횡구속 능력을 평가하기 위해 나선철근을 사용한 횡구속실험을 수행하였다. 실험의 주변수는 단면형상, 철근비로 하고 콘크리트의 강도는 25MPa로 계획하였다. 실험 결과, 단면형상에 따라 원형 실험체가 각형 실험체보다 우수한 횡구속 효과를 나타내는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 횡보강근의 철근비가 증가할수록 횡구속 효과가 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다.

  • In this paper, we study the posture control of an underwater vehicle with nonholonomic constraint. Generally, systems with nonholnomic constraints cannot be stabilized to an equilibrium points by smooth state feedback control. Therefore, we proposed a control strategy for posture control of the underwater vehicle using backstepping control. The proposed control scheme is applied to the posture control of an underwater vehicle and verified the effectiveness of control strategy by numerical simulation.
