A Study on Space Composition and Usage Pattern of Senior Centers in Apartment Complex (아파트 경로당의 공간구성 특성과 이용실태에 관한 연구)

  • Senior centers in apartment complex have been provided since 1980 according to the Housing Act in Korea. Nowadays these senior centers are model leisure facility for the elderly. However there are no specific guidelines for space composition and usage in a senior center. This study examines the space composition and usage patterns of 16 senior centers in apartment complex, Jangyou New Town. The data were collected by means of an observation, measuring, and interviews. The results are ; 1) A senior center consisted of one living room and two rooms for men and women would be appropriate; A living room is for common activities and two rooms for casual resting of each gender. 2) A kitchen is mainly used for setting the table or making tea. Thus, the living-dining-kitchen type would be appropriate. 3) Many rest rooms are located outside of a senior center and unisex one. The restroom should be separated by gender and located within the senior center. Also, the width of all doors should be more than 80cm and the floor be flat. The grab bars should be installed near the fixtures in a restroom. 4) Design and location of the shoe shelf are not convenient for the elderly to use. It should be designed and arranged for the elderly to use conveniently. Also, space for canes, walkers or wheelchairs should be considered in entrance area.

Properties of Chemical Components of Camellia japonica L. loaves According to Picking Time (동백잎의 채취시기에 따른 화학적 성분 특성)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the chemical component of Camellia japonica L. according to picking time. Leaves of Camellia japonica L. were picked in April and May,2003. Free sugars (fructose, glucose and sucrose) and organic acids (citric acid, tartaric acid, succinic acid, acetic acid) were present in the Camellia japonica L. leaf. The contents of total free sugars and organic acids increased as picking time was delayed. The major components of free amino acids were aspartic acid, glutamic acid and histidine, and those of total amino acids were histidine and alanine. The contents of total free amino acids and total amino acids were decreased as picking time was delayed, while the ratio of essential amino acids to the total amino acids increased. The amount of minerals (P, Ca, K, Na and Fe), chlorophyll and total polyphenol increased as picking time was delayed.

Effects of Korean Elder's Four Major Pains on Suicidal Thought Mediated by Depression: Focused on Gyungrodang Users (노인의 사중고(四重苦)가 우울을 매개로 자살생각에 미치는 영향: 경로당 이용자를 중심으로)

  • The present study empirically confirmed Korean elder's four major pains consisted of poverty, disease, role loss, loneliness and investigated the mediating role of depression between the four major pains and the elder's suicidal thought. To investigate the cause and effect of factors, we conveniently collected 309 samples from 16 Gyungrodangs evenly located in Jeonju and 291 samples, survived the data cleaning such as missing values, outliers, normality and covariance conditions, were analyzed by frequency, factor analysis, reliability, confirmatory factor analysis and structural model analysis. Followed were the selected contributions of the present study. First, the constructs of four major pains such as poverty, disease, role loss, loneliness were predictors of suicidal thought mediated by depression. Second, the elder's poverty, that was the heaviest factor of the four major pain constructs, was a predictor of role loss leading to loneliness. Third, four major pains were predictors of the elder's depression. Note that poverty were not direct but indirect predictor of depression. The present study confirmed the concept of four major pains. Also those who practice in the area of the elderly care should consider the four major pains as well as depression while intervening in the elderly's suicidal thought.

A Study on Modeling Network Market Structure Uuder Imperfect Information Considering Regulation (불완전 정보 하에서 규제를 고려한 네트워크 산업의 시장구조 모델링에 관한 연구)

  • 이 논문은 상류복점, 하류복점의 시장구조에서 네트워크산업의 중요한 특징으로 간주되고 있는 규제와 불완전정보를 고려하여 네트워크산업의 시장구조에 대하여 모델링을 시도한 논문이다. 이 논문에서 고려하고 있는 시장구조는 독립적 소유구조(Independent Ownership), 부분적 수직결합구조(Partial Vertical Integration), 평행적 수직결합구조(Parallel Vertical Integration)로서 각 시장구조별로 가격, 공급량, 이윤, 불완전 정보로 발생하는 오인보고량(Misreport)의 크기를 따져보고 있다. 공급량, 총이윤은 평행적 수직결합구조에서 가장 크게 나타났고 다음 부분적 수직결합구조, 독립적 소유구조의 순서로 나타났다. 가격과 오인보고량의 크기는 독립적 소유구조에서 가장 높게 나타났으며 다음 부분적 수직결합구조, 독립적 소유구조 순으로 나타났다. 또한 이 논문에서는 규제와 다른 변수와의 관계를 고려하고 있는데, 규제당국의 규제능력이 향상할수록 서비스의 가격과 오인보고량의 크기가 떨어지고 망소유 기업의 이윤이 감소하는 것으로 나타났지만 총 공급량과 서비스만 제공하는 기업의 이윤은 오히려 증가하고 있음을 보여주었다. 한편, 규제와 다른 기업의 보완전 구성요소의 사용량의 관계에 있어서는 규제당국의 규제수준이 일정수준 이상이 되면 부분적 수직결함구조와 평행적 수직결합구조에서 보완적 구성요소의 사용이 이루어지고 규제수준이 향상될수록 이 사용량 증가하고 있음을 보여주고 있는데 이는 이 논문만의 독특한 결론이라고 볼 수 있다.

Purification and Characterization of Anti-complementary Polysaccharide from Phellinus linteus Mycelia (상황버섯(Phellinus linteus) 균사체로부터 항보체 활성 다당류의 정제 및 특성)

  • We have isolated an anti-complementary polysaccharide from the hot water extracts of Phellinus linteus mycelia. Anti-complementary polysaccharide, PL-5-IIIa, was purified by ultrafiltration, gel permeation chromatography using Sepharose CL-4B. GPC (Sepharose CL-4B) and its homogenicity was demonstrated by HPLC. Using gel permeation chromatography with standard dextrans, its molecular weight was determined as about 800,000 dalton. The purified PL-5-IIIa was identified as a protein bound polysaccharide comprising of 29.6% protein and 64.2% carbohydrate which was composed of fucose(15.8%), galactose(43.1%) and mannose(40.6%).

Changes in the Non-cellulosic Neutral Sugars of Cell Wall of Persimmon Fruit by Treatment of Cell Wall-Degrading Enzymes (세포벽 분해효소의 처리에 따른 감과실의 세포벽 구성 비섬유성 중성당의 변화)

  • This paper was performed to investigate the changes of non-cellulosic neutral sugars composition in cell wall of persimmon fruit by treatment of cell wall degrading enzyme in vitro. Rhamnose, xylose and galactose in cell wall by polygalacturonase treatment, arabinose, galactose and rhamnose in cell wall by mixed enzyme treatment and arabinose and galactose in cell wall by ${\beta}-galactosidase$ treatment decreased, respectively. Noncellulosic neutral sugars of pectins extracted cell wall by enzyme treatments decreased and those by polygalacturonase treatment decreased remarkably. Rhamnose, arabinose and xylose in hemicellulose I of cell wall by polygalacturonase treatment were higher than those of untreated, and rhamnose and xylose in that by ${\beta}-galactosidase$ treatment were higher but arabinose, mnnose and galactose decreased. Xylose, mannose and glucose in that by mixed enzyme treatment were higher than those of untreatment and arabinose and galactose decreased. Contents of total non-cellulosic neutral sugars in hemicellulose of untreatment, and contents xylose, and glucose in hemicellulose II of cell wall by polygalacturonase treatmet decreased but those of other treatments were not changed.

Per the Korean-style food space composition quality instance - investigation analysis it leads and per the Korean-style food store plan hour it presents the standard of the space composition it will be able to refer with per the Korean-style food space composition plan hour efficient and rational there is the objective of the place where it provides a fundamental data to direction set of new plan.

Comparison of Free Sugar Content in Grains Fermented with Mycelia of the Basidiomycetes (담자균이 배양된 곡물의 유리당 조성 변화)

  • The grains were used as solid-substrate for the cultivation of basidiomycetes. The grains were fermented with Ganodema lucidum 7094, Fomitella fraxinea 81003, Phellinus igniarius 26005, and its free sugar composition was investigated. For the mass cultivation of mycelia, the hydrated grains with cold water were put into the plastic bottle. The mycelial growth rate in the bottled grains was high in the early stage with inoculation of homogenized mycelium. The activity of mycelium was maintained by adding sterilized water in the middle of cultivation. There was marked difference in the content of total free sugar and composition ratio of free sugar according to kinds of basidiomycetes. The content of free sugar increased far more in grains fermented with mycelium than in grains which was not fermented.

Changes in Physicochemical Properties of Spergularia marina Griseb by Blanching (Blanching에 따른 세발나물의 이화학적 특성 변화)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the changes in physicochemical properties of Spergularia marina Griseb by blanching. The proximate composition, free sugar, free amiao acid, organic acid, vitamin and mineral composition of raw and blanching Spergularia marina Griseb were compared. After blanching treatment, the moisture and carbohydrate contents of Spergularia marina Griseb increased, but the crude protein, crude fat and crude ash contents decreased. Total free sugar content decreased by 62.50% compared with raw Spergularia marina Griseb after blanching, and the reduction of galactose was the largest in free sugars. The raw and blanched Spergularia marina Griseb contained all the essential amino acids, except tryptophan. The total amino acid and essential amino acid contents were reduced by blanching, but the essential amino acid ratios of the raw and blanched Spergularia marina Griseb were similar. The amounts of all the detected organic acids were reduced by blanching, except acetic acid. Spergularia marina Griseb was found to contain high levels of vitamin C, vitamin E, and minerals, but these were reduced by blanching. These results showed that most of the nutrients contained by Spergularia marina Griseb are decrease by blanching. Therefore, the blanching conditions that can reduce nutrient loss of Spergularia marina Griseb must be established.

Composition of Amino Acids, Sugars and Minerals of Domestic Wheat Varieties (국내산 밀의 품종별에 따른 아미노산, 구성당 및 무기질 조성)

  • The chemical components of 5 domestic wheats(Kru, Suwon 257, Eunpa, Chokwang and Tapdong), Australian standard white wheat(ASW) and dark northern spring wheat(DNS) were determined in terms of amino acids, sugars and minerals for whole wheat and white wheat flour of 70% milling yield. The protein content of whole Eunpa and Tapdong was approximately 15%, and reduced its content approximately 1% after milling compared to that of whole wheats. The high levels of glutamic acid and proline were observed in domestic wheats. The limiting amino acid of domestic wheat was higher than that of ASW, but lower than that of DNS. Especially, Suwon 257 and Tapdong exhibited the higher limiting amino acid content than other domestic wheats. Glutamic acid and proline content increased, while lysine and threonine was decreased after milling. In general, whole wheat exhibited the higher levels of arabinose and xylose, and the lower level of glucose than flour. The results also showed domestic wheat contained the higher amount of arabinose and xylose than the foreign wheats. Domestic wheat and flour possessed the higher amount of mineral such as P, K, Na and Ca than ASW and DNS, while Al and Si were similar to others.
