Analysis on the Shift Characteristics of Semi-Spherical CVT using 2-dimensional Friction Model (2차원 마찰모델을 이용한 구면무단변속기의 변속특성해석)

  • Semi-spherical CVT(SS-CVT) is one of friction drives, which transmits power via the friction force between a spherical shaped variator and output disks. The variator varies the speed ratio of SS-CVT continuously as well as transmits input power into the output shaft. Therefore two friction forces are normally applied on the variator; one is the longitudinal friction force for power transmission and the other is the lateral for shifting. In order to investigate the dynamic behavior of SS-CVT, we introduced a numerical model of 2-dimensional friction force using a function of slip ratio and slip angle. And a dynamic model, which describes the shifting mechanism of SS-CVT, is developed through 3-dimensional vector analysis. Finally we presented numerical results of the shift characteristics focused on the transient behavior of the variator's slip ratio and slip angle. The numerical results also show the typical CVT shifting characteristics of SS-CVT and stable shifting behaviors of the variator.

대칭 및 비대칭 binary filter가 수차를 포함한 광학계의 축상 GAIN에 미치는 영향

  • We discuss the influence of annular binary filters on the axial PSF of imaging systems which are apodized by a radiallysymmetric filter and have spherical aberration and coma. In this paper we consider a whole family of annular binary fIlters in two cases. First, the binary filters are composed of two transparent annuli of the same area. Second, the binary filters are composed of a central clear circle and a concentric annular aperture with area bigger than that of the inner circle. In order to investigate the influence of the proposed filters on the axial PSF, we may use the axial resolution gains, which evaluate in terms of the FWHM of the intensity in the focal region of an apodized imaging system in comparison with that corresponding to a nonapodized one. We evaluate the PSF for the conventional and confocal systems having an aberration. ation.

A gonioradiometer for total flux measurements (전광선속 측정을 위한 고니오광도계 제작)

  • We make a gonioradiometer to realize the scales of total luminous flux and total spectral flux from standards of irradiance and illuminance. Transferring of the photometric scales to a radiometric base has been completed by using a new goniometer to realize a scale of total luminous flux from the scale of illuminance. This is done by measuring the flux emanating from an optical source in different directions and integrating it over an entire imaginary surface surrounding the source. This method is suggested for the realization of the scales of total luminous flux and geometrically total spectral flux. The combined uncertainty of a total flux in the KRISS gonioradiometry is 1 % in the condition of 95% reliance.

  • The largest terms in the solid Earth body tide calculation are second degree spherical harmonic components due to the moon or the sun, and they compose about 98 percent of total contribution. Each degree harmonics of the tidal perturbation should be evaluated through multiplication with distinct Love numbers or their combinations. Correct evaluation of these terms in gravity tide is considered with re-calculated Love numbers. Frequency dependence of Love numbers for spherical harmonic tide upon the order number is discussed. Tidal displacement and tidally induced deviation of the vertical are also evaluated. Essential concepts underlying the body tide calculation are briefly summarized.

  • Beamforming method has a limited spatial resolution because of finite aperture size, so that the estimated source distributions are smoothed within the resolution. Especially for low frequency noise such as mechanical noise, this limitation often diminishes the direct use of beamforming method. In this study, the relation between smoothed beamforming and radiation power distribution of plate has been addressed. By adjustment of aperture size of array, the smoothed beamforming power shows radiation power distribution of plate. Numerical simulations are carried for simply supported plate.

Optical constant of the reduced eye based on theoretical finite model eye (이론적 정밀모형안에 기초한 환산모형안의 광학상수)

  • A finite model eye based on longitudinal spherical aberration is designed by an optimization method. Longitudinal spherical aberration for pupil diameter between 1 mm and 8 mm is graphed theoretically and compared with other model eyes. The chromatic dispersions are adjusted to fit experimentally observed chromatic aberration of the eye. This is a finite model eye with four a spheric refracting surfaces. It has an effective focal length of 15.842 mm. A designed reduced eye has an equivalent power of 63.12 Diopter, curvature radius of 5.281 mm, index of 1.33333, and axial length of 21.123 mm.

  • This study is about the law of cosines. It dealt with its historical origin and the developmental process of the age of Greece, Islam and Modern age. Especially, we tried to find out how the extension of the law of cosines for spherical triangles and tetrahedron from the law of cosines for plane was done. On the basis of this analysis, we investigated how the law of cosines was generated and proved it through the logical demonstration and mathematical induction. This made us find out the mathematical meaning of mathematical concepts.

A Study on Ultra Precision Machining for Aspherical Surface of Optical Parts (비구면 광학부품의 초정밀 가공에 관한 연구)

  • This paper deals with the precision grinding for aspherical surface of optical parts. A parallel grinding method using the spherical wheel was suggested as a new grinding method. In this method, the wheel axis is positioned at a $\pi$/4 from the Z-axis in the direction of the X-axis. An advantage of this grinding method is that the wheel used in grinding achieves its maximum area, reducing wheel wear and improving the accuracy of the ground mirror surface. In addition, a truing by the CG (curve generating) method was proposed. After truing, the shape of spherical wheel transcribed on the carbon is measured by the Form-Talysurf-120L. The error of the form in the spherical wheel which is the value ${\Delta}x$ and $R{^2}{_y}$ inferred from the measured profile data is compensated by the re-truing. Finally, in the aspherical grinding experiment, the WC of the molding die was examined by the parallel grinding method using the resin bonded diamond wheel with a grain size of #3000. A form accuracy of 0.16${\mu}m$ P-V and a surface roughness of 0.0067${\mu}m$ Ra have been resulted.

Study on Clinical Assessment and Reliability Analysis of Measurement with Diverse Autorefractors (검사기기에 따른 굴절력 측정의 임상적 평가 및 신뢰도에 관한 연구)

  • For this study, Clinical evaluation of the diverse Autorefractors was performed to examine validity and repeatability compared with subjective refraction. Measurements of refractive error were performed on 212 eyes of 106 subjects subjectivly noncycloplegic. Intersession repeatability of the Autorefractors were also assessed on all 106 subjects together with intersession repeatability on 7 to 14 days intervals. Spherical powers of subjective refraction and autorefractions by Autorefractors were analyzed by paired T-test.

A Study of f-${\theta}$ Lens Design for Axisymmetric Spherical Surface for RGB Laser Display and its applications (RGB 레이저 가시화를 위한 축대칭 구면 f-${\theta}$ 렌즈 설계 및 프로젝션응용)

  • The design of a telecentric f-${\theta}$ lens with a field of view (FOV) $30^{\circ}$ and an effective focal length of 1000mm is presented. The optical stop is placed at the front plane and the design is based on a geometric ray tracing technique, and the designed system consists of a series of convex and concave lenses. The designed f-${\theta}$ lens showed a considerable reduction in weight with a simplified structure and resulted in a good performance in the designated FOV. Detail analysis of rays is also presented. 653nm (red laser), 586nm (green laser), and 468nm (blue laser) were simulated as a light source and image illuminating source. The developed optical design requires 7 pieces of lenses made of SF1, N-FK56, N-LAK33, and BK7 glass materials. With optimal parametric design, the effective focal length was calculated to be 974.839mm which is very close to the initial design target. For the manufacturing purpose, the dimensions of lens curvature and thickness were truncated with error ranging 0.1% to 3.2%. As a result, the overall error was calculated to be 3.2% which can be still tolerable for display, laser material, and machining processing.
