A Performance Improvement of Ultrasonic Diagnosis Transducer by Transient Acoustic Field Analysis (과도음장 해석을 통한 초음파 진단 탐촉자의 성능 개선)

  • The transient acoustic fields formed by a 3.5 ㎒ curved linear array transducer which is commonly used in ultrasonic medical imaging system for diagnosis of abdomen are systematically analyzed to obtain new design parameters for the better acoustic image. In the analysis with an assumption of radiating waveform, element size, radius of curvature, amplitude apodization are considered as parameters giving constitutive relations with the fields. As simulation results, appropriate new parameters with the reduced curvature and elevation aperture and the apodization of Hamming window, which make an improved acoustic beam with lower side lobe levels than a conventional typical transducer, are obtained.

  • This paper focused on the development of sports robot that detects a human player and shots a serve ball automatically. When robot technologies apply to the sports machine, the domain problems occurs such as outdoor environments and playing condition to recognize the visual and the vocal modalities. Gaussian mixture model and Kalman filter are used to detect the player's position in the left, right, and depth direction and to avoid the noises caused by the player's posture variation around the net. The sports robot is designed by the pan-tilt structure to shot a serve ball by pneumatic control under the multi layered software architecture. Finally, the proposed tracking and the machine performance are discussed by experimental results.

An Experimental Study of Operating Characteristics on Fouling Auto Removal Apparatus of Multi Pass Type Heat Exchanger using Ejector (이젝터를 이용한 다관식 열교환기 파울링 자동제거장치의 구동특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • The experiment was performed to check operating characteristics of fouling auto removal apparatus for multi pass type heat exchanger using ejector. The results showed as following. The ejector suction flow rate increased with the head of operating pump of ejector. Proper suction flow rate showed $7.2{\sim}10.2m^3/h$ for ball collection in case of pump head 35~50m. The head of ejector outlet pipe is below 4.1m in case of 40m, the head of operating pump of ejector to confirm ejector suction flow rate 8.4m3/h. Lattice space of ball separator is allowed 6~10.3mm in ranges of ball diameter are 15~25mm and when mass flow of cooling water is 3.0m/sec. Average of passing time of balls is 1.2~2.8sec depend on the velocity of flow and the size of balls.

  • In this paper, including the X-ray high voltage resonant inverter generators and high frequency high voltage transformer operating systems is proposed. X-ray generator removes the noise and was smaller, 50[kHz] to work more with the driving frequencies, and that occurred when the normal power supply available due to noise, survey the conditions and solve the problems of the poor was a problem. In addition, X-ray tube voltage, frequency controllers and tube current controller filament heating voltage transformer for high frequency transformer design and manufacture of doing X-ray devices were to become more efficient operation.

  • Industrial mixers to homogeneously blend particulate materials have been developed and widely used in various industries. However, most industrial mixers have at most two-degree-of-freedom for the operation, which limits the range of operation parameter selection for optimal blending. This paper proposes a multi-degree-of-freedom robotic mixer designed by converging a conventional drum blender and a robotic manipulator and evaluated its performance in a virtual operating environment. Discrete element simulations were conducted for mixing performance evaluation. The numerical results showed that the proposed mixer design exhibits a better mixing performance than conventional ones.

  • In the Phase Shifted Full Bridge(: PSFB) converter, there are several design factors including power switches, power switches' driving circuits, transformer and inductor, and rectifier stage, etc. Among them, a key factor influencing an optimal performance of the PSFB converter is the design of transformer. Especially, its effect becomes more important in low voltage and high power applications. In this paper, a study on an optimal design of transformer in the PSFB converter is presented. The design equations for the transformer are derived and analyzed in details, and an example design of the transformer for a 12V, 1200W server power supply application is showed as the result of analysis.

  • With the growing importance of the fishery industry and the rapid growth of the aquaculture industry, research on smart farms through ICT convergence in the aquaculture field is in progress. To enable monitoring of the growing environment at the farm site, an underwater drone drive unit, an image collection device, an integrated controller for posture stabilization, and a remote control device capable of controlling and controlling drones through real-time underwater images were proposed, and design, development, and tests were conducted. By utilizing underwater drones, it is possible to replace the supply and demand of manpower and high-cost work in the aquaculture industry, and to manage fish farms in a stable manner by reducing the probability of farming deaths.

  • In this paper, we developed DSP(Digital Signal Processor)-based control system to automatically open and close passive filter, which is used to reduce harmonics, according to operating condition of loads. Passive filter control system automatically open and close each branch of filter according to working conditions of loads by sending signals to open and close installation of passive filter after measuring and monitoring voltage, current, harmonics, reactive power, power factor and so on. We verified it's performance by connecting control system with passive filter in the power line using the 100HP D.C motor drive, opening and closing passive filter according to operation condition of motor, and measuring harmonics and reactive power, etc.

  • 파력발전은 파랑에너지를 이용하여 유용한 에너지를 얻어내는 것인데, 본 논문에서는 그 가운데 진동수주 (Oscillating Water Column)형을 연구 대상으로 취하였다. 이는 외해에서의 파랑에너지를 공기실에 유입 집중시켜 공기실 내 수면의 승강운동을 증폭시키고 이로 인해 발생한 공기실 내의 공기 흐름을 터빈의 구동력으로 사용하는 것을 말한다. 적지 선정과정에서 채택된 곳의 설계파고를 바탕으로 원하는 정격출력인 500kW를 얻어낼 수 있도록 유량과 임펄스 터빈의 최적 직경을 산출하고자 하였는데 개념설계된 파력발전장치의 덕트가 쌍동형 형태를 취하고 있으므로 한 터빈당 250kW급을 목표 발전용량으로 하였다. 지난 연구를 통해서 기 작성된 터빈 성능도표를 활용하여, 본 연구에서는 1차적으로 임펄스 터빈의 개략적인 직경 및 유량을 구하고, 터빈의 자기 기동 특성을 고려하여 최종적인 형상을 구체적으로 도출하였다.

  • 램제트는 다른 여러 추진시스템에 비하여 획기적으로 증가된 사거리를 가지므로 가용범위의 확대는 물론, 목표물 타격 시 높은 명중률과 낮은 격추율을 가지는 효과적인 추진 시스템이다. 램제트 엔진을 장착한 미사일로는 프랑스의 Griffon, ASMP, 미국의 Bomarc, Talos, 영국의 Bloodhound, Sea dart, 소련의 SA4, SA6 등을 비롯하여 많은 종류가 개발되어 실전 배치되었다. 근래 들어 램제트는 군사전략과 전술적인 목적 이외에도 민간용으로도 그 실용성이 강조되고 있어 그 중요성은 날로 더할 것으로 예측된다. 램제트는 일반적인 공기흡입식 엔진과는 달리 엔진 내부에 기계적으로 구동되는 부분이 없이 충격파를 통과하면서 공기의 압력이 높아지는 현상인 램압축 현상을 이용하여 공기를 압축하게 되므로 엔진의 구조가 간단하고, 상대적으로 높은 비추력과 추력/중량비를 가진다. 램제트는 정지 상태에서는 작동되지 않으며 사용 가능한 최소의 압력비를 줄 수 있는 비행 마하수에 도달해야 램제트가 작동하게 된다. 따라서 이러한 비행속도를 줄 수 있는 별도의 추진장치가 필요하게 되는데 이와 같은 보조 추진장치로 부스터를 사용한다. 부스터가 엔진의 내부에 장착된 램제트를 일제형 램제트 (IRR: integral Rocket Ramjet)라 부르며, 현대의 전략미사일과 민간용 초음속 항공기의 엔진에 도입되어 활발한 연구가 진행 중이다. 램압력을 이용하여 압축하므로 램제트의 설계시 설계점 비행 속도에서 전압력 손실이 최소가 되도록 설계되어야 하며, 이를 실험이나 수치해석을 통해 확인하여야 한다.
