Design of a Simmer Circuit for Xenon Flash Lamp Driver Based on a LCC Converter (LCC 컨버터 기반의 제논 플래시 램프 구동장치를 위한 시머회로 설계)

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a 2.5kW (500V, 5A) simmer circuit that maintains the ionization of xenon gas inside the lamp. The design is based on a LCC resonant converter in continuous conduction mode (CCM) with above resonant frequency to take advantage of high power density from using parasitic elements such as the leakage inductance in a power transformer. In addition, since the converter has current source output characteristics, it is suitable for maintaining ionization of the lamp having the negative resistance load characteristic. To verify this converter design, PSpice modeling was performed. Finally, the developed simmer circuit is verified by a resistive load of rated performance and the Ionization maintenance operation of the xenon flash lamp.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a trigger circuit which can be series connected with main pulse circuit for a xenon flash lamp driver. For generating high voltage, the trigger circuit is designed as an inductive energy storage pulsed power modulator with 2 state step-up circuit consisting of a boost converter and a flyback circuit. In order to guarantee pulse width, a resonant capacitor on the output side of the flyback circuit is designed. This capacitor limits the output voltage to protect the flyback switch. In addition, to protect another power supply of xenon flash lamp driver from trigger pulse, the high voltage transformer which can carry the full current of main pulse is designed. To verify the proposed design, the trigger circuit is developed with the specification of maximum 23 kV, 0.6 J/pulse output and tested with a xenon flash lamp driver consisting of a main pulse circuit and a simmer circuit.

  • 본 논문에서는 카메라폰용 광학줌(Optical zooming)과 자동초점조절장치(Auto Focusing, AF)에 쓰일 초음파모터를 제작하였다. 초음파모터의 제작 및 시뮬레이션은 유한요소해석 프로그램인 ATILA 5.2.1(Magsoft)를 사용하여 디자인설계에 따른 구동특성을 고찰하였고 세자된 초음파모터는 한쪽 면이 없는 사자형의 탄성체를 제작하였으며 탄성체의 양쪽 다리에 각각 압전체를 부착하였다. 또한 압전세라믹의 조성은 $0.9Pb(Zr_{0.51}Ti_{0.49})O_3$-$0.1Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{1/3}Sb_{1/3})O_3$의 조성으로 설계하였고 시편의 제조는 7-layer로 적층하였다. 제작된 압전세라믹의 치수는 $6*2*0.35mm^3$ (길이*폭*두께)로 제작하였다. 또한 탄성체의 외형치수는 $10*10*2mm^3$ 제작하였으며 두께를 각각 0.3[mm], 0.5[mm], 0.8[mm]으로 변화시키며 제작하였다. 두께가 0.8[mm]인 경우 공진주파수 60.5[kHz]를 나타내었으며 초음파모터의 압전세라믹에 인가전압이 증가함에 따라 회전속도와 모터에 흐르는 전류는 증가하였다. 인가전압이 40[Vpp], 공진주파수는 60.5[kHz]일때 무게추를 달고 그때의 토크 및 효율을 측정하였다. 회전 속도는 토크가 증가함에 따라 거의 선형적으로 감소하였으며 효율은 토크에 따라 증가하다가 토크가 약 20(mNmm)일 때 약 28[%]로 최대치를 나타내었다.

  • In this paper we describe a Control Rod Control System(CRCS) with the various functions for the test and operation of Control Rod Drive Mechanism(CRDM). The CRCS controls the motion of the full length rod drive mechanisms in response to signals from the Reactor Operator and the Reactor Regulating System. The mechanisms are grouped and identified as being for either Shutdown Banks or Control Banks. The CRCS also provides information regarding rod motion, rod position, and status of the Rod Control System. Also we have implemented the diverse functions in the developed CRCS. Due to the developed CRCS, we are assured that the commercial operation by this system be made before long.

  • Control Rod Control System(CRCS) is to control nuclear reaction of reactor by moving Control Rod Drive Mechanism(CRDM) with speed and direction signal from Reactor Regulating System(RRS). CRCS is made up of two parts : control cabinet and power cabinet. And this paper presents mainly power cabinet design for system reliability. To increase reliability of power cabinet, controller, power supply and communication line arc doubly designed and supervision and diagnosis function are applied.

  • Tactile sensation is one of the most important sensory functions for human perception of objects. Recently, there have been many technical challenges in the field of tactile display as well as tactile sensing. In this paper, we propose an innovative tactile display device based on soft actuator technology with ElectroActive Polymer(EAP). This device offers advantageous features over existing devices with respect to intrinsic flexibility, softness, ease of fabrication and miniaturization, high power density, and cost effectiveness. In particular, it can be adapted to various geometric configurations because it possesses structural flexibility, so it can be worn on any part of the human body such as finger, palm, and arm etc. It can be extensively applied as a wearable tactile display, a Braille device for the visually disabled, and a human interface in the future. A new design of the flexible actuator is proposed and its basic operational principles are discussed. In addition, a wearable tactile display device with $4{\times}5$ actuator array(20 actuator cells) is developed and its effectiveness is confirmed.

  • 본 연구는 트랙터 부착형 자동 토양경도 측정 시스템의 개발에 관한 연구로서, 우리나라 토양조건이나 작업형태에 맞는 에너지 절감형 트랙터 로타리날을 개발하기 위한 전단계 연구로서, 기존에 개발된 로타리날과 개량, 보완되어 개발될 로타리날의 성능을 비교 분석하기 위하여 수동 토양경도 측정기의 부정확성을 개량하여 측정의 정확성을 통한 동일 실험조건에서의 실험을 실시하고자 자동으로 작동되며 토양경도측정을 할 수 있는 트랙터 부착형 자동 토양경도 측정 시스템을 개발하는데 목적이 있으며, 그 구체적인 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. (1) 시스템은 토양경도 측정부, 측정장치 구동부, 그리고 트랙터와의 연결부로 구성되었다. (2) 시스템 작동에 필요한 전원공급을 트랙터 배터리에서 공급하였다. (3) 토양경도 측정시 토양속에 돌이나 이물질 층이 형성되어 있는 경우에 콘 페니트로메타가 관입하다가 큰 관입저항 때문에 관입저항 한계설정치까지 가기전 더이상 관입을 못하는 경우가 발생하였다. (5) 성능실험시 관입심이 깊을수록 시험포장 전체에서 대체적으로 토양경도가 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 토양속의 돌이나 이물질 등에의해 경도가 급격히 증가하는 부분이 있는 것으로 사료된다. 이상의 결과에서 살펴보면 본 시스템은 토양경도 측정에 적절하다고 사료된다.

  • In this paper, the real time characteristics analyzing system is proposed to analyze characteristics of inverter. The system is consisted of DSP unit and personal computer. Conventionally, power conversion system is designed by the load and the use. And control characteristics for the designed power conversion system is evaluated by the control input. In order to study of control methods, power conversion system is required for a study of control methods and observed system is required for a analyzing of the inverter. Inverter system is consisted to evaluate for proposed real time characteristics analyzing system. And induction motor is driven by control input that is manufactured by personal computer. Output of inverter and control characteristics is variously analyzed.

  • Wireless sensor networks consist of small, autonomous devices with wireless networking capabilities. In order to further increase the applicability in real world applications, minimizing energy consumption is one of the most critical issues. Therefore, accurate energy model is required for the evaluation of wireless sensor networks. In this paper, we analyze the energy consumption for wireless sensor networks. To estimate the lifetime of sensor node, we have measured the energy characteristics of sensor node based on Telosb platforms running TinyOS. Based on the proposed model, the estimated lifetime of a battery powered sensor node can use about 6.925 months for 10 times motion detection per hour.

  • In this research, the BLDC motor 2 axis controller was designed using a dual core processor. The controller used TMS320F28377D which is TI's latest dual-core DSP, and the BLDC motor was selected with the position of resolver having high reliavility and the speed sensor built-in type motor.
