H Control of Time-Delayed Linear Systems with Saturating Actuators (포화 구동기를 갖는 시간 시연 선형 시스템의 H 제어)

  • In this paper, we consider the $H_{\infty}$ control of time-delayed linear systems with saturating actuators. The considered time-delay is a time-varying one having bounds on magnitude and time-derivative, and the control permits the predetermined degree of saturation. Based on two modified Lyapunov-Krasovskii(L-K) functionals, we derive a $H_{\infty}$ control in the form of linear matrix inequalities(LMI) having three non-convex design parameters. The result is dependent on the characteristics of time-delay, predetermined degree of saturation level, and bound of disturbance. Finally, we give a comparative example to show the effectiveness and usefulness of our result.

Development of Anti-Windup Method for Time Delay Control (시간지연제어의 와인드업 방지를 위한 기법의 개발)

  • Recently the Time Delay Control(TDC) method has been proposed as a promising technique in the robust control area, where the plant has unknown dynamics with parameter variations and substantial disturbances are present. When TDC is applied to the plant with saturation nonlinearity, however, the so called windup phenomena are observed to arise, causing excessive overshoot and instability. In order to solve this problem, we have proposed an anti-windup method for TDC. The stability of the overall system has been analyzed for a class of LTI MIMO system. The effectiveness for the proposed method has been shown with simulation and experiment results.

전력구 내 지중선을 이용한 2W급 상용주파수 무선전력 수신장치 개발

  • 본 논문은 전력구 내 지중선에서 발생하는 상용주파수(60 Hz) 자기장을 이용한 2 W급 무선전력 수신장치를 제안한다. 제안하는 수신장치는 자성체와 구리도선을 포함하는 수신 코일, 장치의 개폐를 위한 손잡이, 직렬공진회로 및 정류기를 포함하는 부가회로로 구성된다. 수신장치는 3상 지중선 중 하나에 설치되어 전력구 내 조명 및 온습도 센서를 구동하는데 사용 가능하다. 수신장치의 자성체로는 높은 기계적 강도 및 포화 자속밀도를 가지는 규소강판 박편이 사용되었으며, 직렬공진회로를 사용하여 최대전력을 수신하였다. 수신장치의 공진회로는 3 이하의 낮은 공진계수를 가지기에 50 Hz 및 60 Hz 지중선에 범용으로 사용이 가능하다. 사용된 규소강판 및 구리선의 무게와 가격의 곱을 성능지수(Figure of Merit)로 선정하여 이를 최소화하는 설계를 수행하였다. 제작된 시작품의 무게는 약 750 g중으로 2.2 W LED부하 구동이 가능하며, 이때 지중선의 전류는 $100A_{rms}$로 가정하였다.

  • 비례-적분(PI) 제어기 출력이 포화되었을 때, 와인드업(windup) 현상이 나타나게 되는데 이것은 큰 오버슈트 및 느린 응답 특성으로 이어지게 되어 제어기의 성능 저하를 야기한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해서 새로운 방식의 Anti-windup PI제어기를 이용하여 IPMSM 구동에 있어 오버슈트 및 정착 시간 단축과 같은 제어 성능이 개선되었음을 보여준다.

  • 전기자동차에 적용되는 배터리 전압은 배터리의 용량, 크기, 중량 및 가격 등과 같은 사항에 의해 제한을 가진다. 따라서 전기자동차 구동을 위해 전류 제어를 수행할 경우 배터리 전압 제한에 따라 제어기의 포화가 발생할 수 있고, 이는 와인드업 현상을 야기한다. 와인드업 현상은 울렁거림 현상, 큰 오버슈트 및 느린 정착 시간과 같은 과도상태 응답 특성을 저하시키고 심각할 경우 시스템의 불안정을 초래한다. 자동차의 특성상 가 감속 및 정지, 출발과 같이 급변하는 기준 명령의 변화가 빈번하기 때문에 승차감 및 안정성에 있어 과도상태의 응답 특성이 매우 중요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 전기자동차용 유도전동기를 위한 반포화 적분-비례 제어기를 제안하고, 실험을 통해 제어 성능의 우수함을 보인다.

  • In the practical control systems, the dynamic range of actuatiors is limited(or saturated) when actuators are driven by sufficiently large signals. This gives rise to a nonlinearity as a result of actuator saturation. For example, the upper limit is imposed on productive capability by available factory space and capital equipment. Other examples of those kinds of actuator saturations are a maximum torque of the actua- ting motors and a throttle position in an aircraft speed control A saturating actuator may lead not only to a large overshoot during start-up and shut-down, but also to deterioration of the performance due to the uncertainties. That is, the speed of response is decreased and, possibly, the system output may not follow the lalrge reference inputs. The large-overshoot may be accompanied by rest wind-up(or called by integra- tor wind-up) which comes from controllers with integral action in saturation operation regions. Eventually, as the overshoot increases, the system has a limit cycle or becomes oscillatorily unstable. Due to these cir- cumstances, many studies are focused on the stability and robustness of the nonlinear systems with satu- rating actuator in the time-domain as well as in the frequency-domain.

  • A robust high-speed motion controller is proposed. The proposed controller consists of the proximate time optimal servomechai는 (PTOD) for high-speed motion, disturbance observer (DOB) for robustness, friction compensator, and saturation handling element, In the proposed controller, DOB basically provides the chance to apply PTOS to non-double integrator systems by drastically reducing disturbances as well as unwanted signals due to difference between real system and the double integrator model. But, in DOB-based systems, if control input is saturated due to control input PTOS and/or DOB, overall system stability cannot be guaranteed. To solve this problem, ribust stability, when the control input is saturated. Eventually, a simple saturation handling element is inserted to maintain internal stability of overall system. Also, we explain the our two saturation handling methods, Additional Saturation Element (ASE_ and Self Adjusting Saturation (SAS), are the equivalent solutions of the saturation problem to maintain internal stability. The stability and performance of the proposed controller are verified through numerical simulations and experiments using a precision linear motor system.

  • A self-bearing is an electric machine that achieves both rotational actuation and magnetic levitation using a single magnetic structure. To be able to stably levitate the rotor in a self-bearing, one needs to have an inverse of the force-current model. However, the force-current model in a self-bearing motor is typically not square. Furthermore, the elements of the matrix vary with respect to the rotational angle, resulting in singularities of the pseudo-inverse at various angles. In this paper, we propose a new force-current model that eliminates the singularities by adding a constraint in coil currents. This constraint eliminates the flux density in the stator core so that the saturation problem in the previous study is avoided. By implementing this force-current model, we are able to implement a levitation controller for a toroidally-wound self-bearing BLDC motor. The model inversion and levitation are validated experimentally.

  • 전동차용 견인전동기 시스템은 저항 및 쵸퍼 제어에 의한 직류 전동기 방식에서 인버터 제어에 의한 유도전동기 방식으로 발전하였다. 오늘날 유도전동기 기술은 어느 정도 성숙기에 접어들었지만 최근에는 소음 제거, 효율 극대화 및 유지보수 비용 절감 등의 이점이 있는 감속기를 제거한 직접 구동용 영구자석 전동기가 새로이 각광받고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 자기적 포화특성이 심한 영구자석 전동기를 대상으로 비선형 수치 해석 기법을 적용하여 운전조건별 특성해석 및 설계기술에 대해 나타내었다.

  • In this paper, we consider the H$\infty$ tracking control of linear system with a limited actuator capacity. The considered reference is a general time-varying one with bounded magnitude and rate. By adopting a similarity transform and a new sto variable, we convert the original system equation to new one which has a tracking error as a part of the new state variable. First, we obtain a result on the low-gained H$\infty$ tracking control which never permits the actuator saturation. Next, we give a result on scheduled H$\infty$ tracking control which uses the actuator capacity more effectively. All results are in the form of linear matrix inequalities(LMI) which can be easily checked their feasibility. Finally, we give a numerical example to show the validity and usefulness of our results.
