  • we have investigated a characteristic of a vibration displacement detector, which was made with a photocoupler. Output signals of the detector were dominant at 700Hz of the frequency of vibrator, and It was maximum, when the amplitude of input signal had been at 1.1V. The detector will be used in measuring the surface roughness of substrates.

  • We have developed a metal detector, which was made with two Hall-senors. We could detect the minute variation of terrestrial magnetism by the metal detector and the detector was handy to carry because it had been runned by a dry cell. So it will be utilized in finding ferromagnetic substances buried in the earth.

  • This paper presents an improved automatic vending machine for ices. Specially, the main topic of this paper is the development of moving parts for carrying ices out of a freezer. In general, carrying ices out of a vending machine causes much cool air losses. The developed vending machine reduces much cool air losses by the improvement of moving parts. Also the machine reduces many mechanical troubles caused by the freezing of mechanically moving parts.

  • In this paper, the instruction set and the architecture of a RISC processor for programmable logic controller is suggested. From the measurement of existing programs, the characteristics of ladder instructions are analyzed. The instruction set is defined so that the existing ladder program can be reused with simple translation. Because bit instructions controls the behavior of word instructions, the processor suits for high level language like SFC. Simulations show that the PLC with the suggested processor is twenty times faster than the PLC with the multi-purpose microprocessor.

  • This paper describes the improvement of frequency characteristic of crystal oscillator I.C using Ti-Salicide. The characteristics of transistor(drive current) using Ti-Salicide process are better than Poly-Si process, because the mobility. To know frequency characteristic of oscillator I.C, the simulation is performed using inverter buffer chain of Fan-out 10 TTL. Its result shows at once the generation of normal clock pulse in input signal and the improvement of rising and falling time.

  • 보병화기의 전투효율성 향상을 위해 세계 각국은 소총에서 구경축소, 경량화, 체계화 등 꾸준한 개량발전을 시도하여 왔으나 실제 전투상황하에서의 명중률 증대측면에서는 결정적인 개선을 가져오지 못했다고 평가하고, 소총의 기본 설계개념과 세계 각국의 차기소총 개발현황 및 발전추세에 대하여 개괄적으로 고찰해 보았다. 따라서 이와 함께 현용 K-1A 기관단총, K-2 소총의 Life Cycle(20-30년)을 고려할 때 2000년대 초에는 차기소총의 대체 필요성을 제시하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, a graphics system supporting PHIGS and PHIGS+ is suggested and its hardware structure and software are described. The developed graphics system is a multi-processing system that uses 6 i860 RISC CPU's and supports PHIGS and PHIGS+ language in a hardware level. The developed system under tested is able to draw 160, 000 3-D polygones in one second when each polygon has 100 pixels and is shaded with Gouraud shading.
