Researcher collected 660 subjects over 60 elderly welfare recipients investigated self-administered survey and use denture and number of remaining teeth though oral examination. Increasingly age number of teeth remaining reduced, there is a difference on the number of remaining teeth according to gender, age, the use of oral hygiene products, self diagnosis oral condition, brushing after lunch and showed significant difference(p<0.05). The remaining number of teeth can be prevented by attention and efforts of subjects. Therefore, we investigated convergent effects of oral health behaviors on number of remaining teeth of the elderly, I hope that oral health care program continually provides expansion of preventive treatment and to maintain the provision of health care about vulnerable group.

Among the subjects who did not carry a toothbrush, 72(32.4%) were male and 46 (20.7%) were female. The number of subjects who did not carry the male was higher (p<0.05) The subjects were as follows: 83 (37.4%), and 21. Oral health awareness was 3.031 times higher than that of male (p<0.001), and the major group was 2.57 times higher than that of the general population (p<0.001). Subjects who did not sterilize the toothbrush had 0.459 times lower oral health perception (p<0.05). In order to establish and evaluate the oral health policy of university students in Korea, only the objective oral health status is used as an index. • The purpose of this study is to create a hypothetical model that explains and predicts oral health promotion behavior of adolescents by reviewing preceding literature on Pender's Health Promotion Model, and to verify the model's validity and proposed hypothesis through PLS (partial least square) structural equation model analysis. This study was cross-sectional survey consisted of self-administration questionnaires. The subjects in this study were a total of 293 alternative high school students in Jeollabuk-do Province. They were selected by convenience sampling. In alternative high school students, perceived benefit, locus of control, self-efficacy, and self-esteem had an effect on their oral health promoting behavior. As a result of the indirect effects in black is subjectively good subjective oral health, oral health related behaviors well past the more oral health promotion behavior showed a high. The prediction model of oral health promotion for adolescences, which was made using Pender's Health Promotion Model, was considered to be useful in explaining and predicting alternative high school students oral health promotion behavior.

The study involved 222 elderly who were older than 65-year-old, an oral examination was conducted in 10 geriatric hospitals located in the metropolitan area and Chungcheong-do. Cross-tabulation, one-way ANOVA, t-test, and Stepwise multiple regression were performed for analysis. The average number of teeth among the subjects was 11.22 and that of dental caries was 1.17. Also, the average number of teeth mobility was 0.93 and halitosis was detected among 81.9%. Only 29.70% reported absence or a kind of systemic disease and 70.31% of the subjects was shown to have more than two kinds of complex disease. In addition, 87.8% of the subjects had depression and among them, 55.40% showed serious depression. The average score on quality of life was 2.62 points and as for the related factors, the number of remaining teeth and dental caries were counted along with care grade, hospitalization period, and age. According to such results, the oral health status among the elderly patients staying long in geriatric hospitals were not good in general; also they showed high level of systemic disease and depression and low quality of life.

  • This study intends to provide basic data to confirm the convergence effects of economic activity on the quality of life and oral health of middle-aged Korean women. Data from the 2019 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey were used, and complex sample logistic regression analysis and linear regression analysis were performed to confirm the effect of economic activity on health-related quality of life (Korean Health-related Quality of Life Instrument with 8 Items; HINT-8) and oral health-related factors. As a result, in the case of controlling for demographic characteristics and economic activity, there was a significant effect in 4 items (energy, work, memory, sleep) out of HINT-8. When the oral health status was adjusted, there was a significant effect only in 2 items (working and memory) of HINT-8 (p<.05). Therefore, although economic activity of middle-aged Korean women has a positive effect on quality of life, it is considered to be valuable in that oral health status can reduce the influencing factors.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine factors related to the oral health by stress in college women. This survey was conducted between June 16, 2014 and July 18, 2014 to investigate the correlation between stress and oral health Data were obtained from 393 women students of 5 colleges in Gwangju and Jeollanam-do. The oral health of college students is related with the stress which has a correlation between oral condition satisfaction(-) and inconvenient(+) of mastication and pronunciation (p<0.01). Also, factors affecting stress are discomfort during mastication and oral state satisfaction and discomfort during mastication. The discomfort during mastication showed the highest stress while the higher status of oral satisfaction showed lower stress (p<0.05). Therefore, college women stress is related with oral health. Colleges should consider developing a program which can appropriately manage and regulate stress to relieve their stress.

  • Objectives: The purposes of this study were to comprehend the subjective dental health status and the level of dental health knowledge in some middle school students and to analyze the correlation with dental health behaviors. Methods: A survey was conducted in some middle school students and the final 637 survey data were analysed. As the statistical analysis methods, the subjective dental health status, dental health knowledge and dental health behaviors according to the general characteristics were analyzed by independent t-test, one way ANOVA and Scheffe. The correlations among the subjective dental health status, dental health knowledge and dental health behavior were found by Pearson's correlation and multiple regression analysis. Results: Through correlation analysis of the subjective dental health status, dental health knowledge and dental health behavior, all showed a significant correlation. As a result of the factor analysis affecting dental behaviors, subjective dental health status was the highest (${\beta}=0.304$, p<0.001). Conclusions: The results of this study suggest that the improvement of subjective dental health status and dental health knowledge related to dental behaviors health in the middle school students should be considered. In addition, dental health education should focus on improving subjective dental health status through motivation rather than knowledge transfer training. Moreover, development programs appropriate for the middle school students whose behavioral changes are hard to obtain are needed.
