Analysis on the effectiveness of roundabout at the diamond interchange using VISSIM (VISSIM을 이용한 다이아몬드 입체교차점에서의 회전교차로 효과분석)

  • This study deals with the roundabout installed at the diamond interchange. The goal is to analyze the relative effectiveness of roundabout to signalized intersection. In pursuing the above, this study gives the particular attentions to comparing the performances using VISSIM software. The main results analyzed are as follows. First, the single and double roundabouts are analyzed to have the rapid change of delay in the case of total entering vehicles of more than 2,400pcph for directional rate 10:5:5, 2,800pcph for 10:8:2, and 4,400pcph for 10:2:8. Second, the roundabouts are evaluated to be more effective than signalized intersection in the case of total entering vehicles of less than 4,000pcph for directional rate 10:5:5, and 4,400pcph for 10:2:8. In the case of directional rate 10:8:2, double roundabout of total entering vehicles less than 5,600pcph is analyzed to be more effective than signalized intersection. Finally, the performance of double roundabout is analyzed to be very similar to that of single roundabout in the case of total entering vehicles less than 4,400pcph. However, the double roundabout is evaluated to be more effective than single in the case of total entering vehicles more than 4,400pcph.

Detection of Peanuts in Commercially Processed Foods by an Enzyme-Linked Fluorescent Immunoassay (Enzyme-linked fluorescent immunoassay에 의한 가공식품 중 땅콩의 검출)

  • In this study we analysed for peanuts in processed foods using an enzyme-linked fluorescent immunoassay (ELFA), and compared the results with labeled ingredients. Crude peanut protein (CPP) was immunized into rabbits to produce specific antibodies(Ab). A sandwich ELFA was established using anti-CPP Ab and Ab-horseradish peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. The cross-reactivities of the Ab toward CPP, peanuts, almonds, soybeans, and walnuts were 100, 9.8, $1.1{\times}10^{-2},\;4.4{\times}10^{-3}$, and 0%, respectively. The samples included 19 items consisting of biscuits, snacks, chocolates, and so on. The results from the sandwich ELFA showed that peanuts were contained in 7 of the processed food items, among which, 5 items were labeled as having peanuts present but 2 items were not. One of the 2 items that was peanut-detected but unlabeled was a biscuit labeled to contain almonds and assayed to contain $2.1{\times}10^{-3}%$ peanuts, which might have been due to the weak cross-reactivity of the Ab toward almonds. The other item was a snack labeled to contain soybeans and assayed to contain 0.098% peanuts, which might have been due to peanut cross-contamination during processing, since the crossreactivity of the Ab toward soybeans was very weak. These results suggest that ELFA is a good tool to detect peanuts in processed foods, and allergens in certain processed foods should be labeled correctly.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the longitudinal causal relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction, focusing on security related workers. For this purpose, the Korean Labor and Income panel data were classified into security employees. Data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 20.0, and validity and reliability analysis were conducted before hypothesis testing. The results of the analysis show that organizational commitment at time t-1 has a positive effect on organizational commitment at time t, and that job satisfaction at time t-1 has a positive effect on job satisfaction at time t Respectively. The results of this study are as follows: 1) The organizational commitment has a significant effect on the job satisfaction. 2) The effect of job satisfaction on organizational commitment was also significant 3) The cross-lagged coefficients show that organizational commitment precedes job satisfaction and serves as a predictor

  • Software development methodology has been developed for satisfying goals of improvement in productivity and reduction in time-to-market through the reuse of software assets. The current methods that implement software product-line, one of software development methodologies, interfere massively with the core assets, which require high cost in assembly level reducing the effectiveness. In this paper, we introduce Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) as a method for improving assembly process in software product-line. The method that assembles core assets and variabilities is described by grammar elements such as Join point, pointcut and advice without code-change. We analyze requirements of a mini-system as an example adapting AOP and design using UML. Our study implements the variabilities, which are from design stage, using an Aspect-Oriented Programming Language, AspectJ and prove usability and practicality by implementing the proposed idea using an Aspect-Oriented Programming Language, AspectJ.

Application of GIS to Select Viewpoints for Landscape Analysis (경관분석 조망점 선정을 위한 GIS의 적용방안)

  • The concern on environmental quality makes the landscape analysis more important than before ever. For the landscape analysis, selection of viewpoint is one of most important stage. Because of its subjectiveness, the conventional viewpoint selection method often missed some viewpoints of importance. The purpose of this study is to develop a viewpoint selection method for landscape analysis using GIS data and techniques. During the viewpoint selection process, spatial and attribute data from several GIS systems were hired. Query and overlay methods were mainly adapted for analysis to find out meaningful viewpoints. The 3D simulation analysis on DEM(Digital Elevation Model) was used for every selected viewpoint to examine wether the view target is screened out or not. Application study at a sample site showed some omissions of good viewpoints without any screening. It also exhibited the possibility to reduce time and cost for the viewpoint selection process of landscape analysis. For the progress of applicability, GIS data analysis process have to be improved and more modules such as automatic screening analysis system on selected viewpoint have to be developed.

  • In the study, planning indicator that should be considered in applying traffic calming technique was derived, and it was intended to analyze the importance of indicator that should most considered in planning traffic calming technique through AHP analysis on the basis of it. The result of planning indicator may be summarized by dividing into road section and crossing section. In road section, hump (0.35) for equipment stimulating reduction of speed, hump image/fort (0.31) for visual control equipment, and slalom type road (0.52) for chicane, and bollard (0.47) for blocking passing route are shown to be the most important and come before anything. In crossing section, signal indicator (0.33) for visual control equipment, rumble strip (0.44) for equipment stimulating reduction of speed, zigzag type road (0.65) for chicane, and blocking going straight at crossing (0.45) for blocking passing route are shown to be the most important and come before anything. The result of the study is judged to be used for basic material in applying traffic calming technique and establishing policy hereafter.

A Study on the Outlier Improvement Method Using Cost Function (비용 함수를 이용한 오 정합 개선 기법에 관한 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 변이지도의 정확도 향상을 위하여, 비용 함수를 이용한 교차 일치성 검사 기법을 제안하고, 다양한 조건의 실험을 통하여 제안한 알고리듬이 효율적임을 보였다. 좌우 변이정보를 이용하는 교차 일치성 검사로 오정합을 검출하는 방법을 시도해왔다. 하지만 이러한 방법은 물체의 경계에서 발생하는 오정합을 찾기가 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 최종 변이의 신뢰도 향상을 위해 교차 일치성 검사의 정확도를 높이는 방법을 제안하였다. 일반적으로 영역 기반 스테레오정합 방법은 물체의 경계에서 정확도 높지 못하다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 정합창의 크기를 늘리거나 특징 점을 이용한 적응적 가변 정합창을 적용하는 방법을 시도하였다. 하지만, 여전히 기존 교차 일치성 검사를 통한 오정합 검출은 부정확하다. 이러한 영역의 비용 함수 값들을 비교한 결과 첫 번째와 두 번째 값의 차이가 적거나 크게 나타난다. 제안한 방법은 기존 방법에 비해 오정합 검출 능력을 향상 시킨다. 제안한 방법의 결과를 확인하기 위해 스테레오 비전에서 많이 사용되는 영상을 적용하고 분석하였다. 또한, 기존 교차 일치성 검사 방법과 제안한 방법의 객관적으로 비교하기 위해 전체 영역에 대한 오차율 (error ratio)과 교차 일치성 검사로 유효하다고 판단된 변이 값 중 실제 변이 값과 일치하지 않은 변이값의 오차율을 비교하였다. 실험 결과 기존 방법에 비해 제안한 방법이 1~5%정도 낮은 오차율을 보였다

Hypothesis Tests on the Relations Between Interchange Types and Traffic Accidents in the Case of Korean Expressways (고속도로 교차점 유형과 교통사고의 가설검정)

  • This research deals with the relations between intersection types and traffic accidents in the case of Korean expressways. The purpose of this research is to test the hypotheses that traffic accidents depend on intersection types and geometric design elements. The main research results are as follows. First, the accident comparisons that are drawn from junctions with interchanges, and trumpet interchanges with other types of interchanges respectively displays no significant meaning. However, the differences among four types of trumpet interchanges are found to be meaningful. In other words, the BO type trumpet interchanges seem to have far more traffic accidents than other types of trumpet interchanges. Second, hypothesis tests show that approximately 90 degree and one lane connection roads have lower accident rates. Based on this research, the following directions can be suggested for the safer types of intersections and geometric design elements in freeway construction. From a road safety point of view, it is advisable not to introduce BO type interchanges. It is also desirable that the intersection angle should be approximately 90 degrees. Furthermore, it would be wise to design one lane roads if the connection road has low traffic volumes.

A Path-based Traffic Flow Simulation Model for Large Scale Network (기종점 기반 대규모 가로망 교통류 시뮬레이션 모형)

  • The Purpose of this study is to develop a simulation model for large-scale network with interrupted flow as well as uninterrupted flow. The Cell Transmission(CT) theory is used to simulate traffic flow. Flow transition rules have been newly developed to simulate traffic flows at merging and diverging sections, and signalized intersections. In the model, it is assumed that dynamic OD table is exogenously given. Simulation results for toy network shows that the model can explain queue dynamics not only in signalized intersections of urban arterials, but also in merging and diverging sections of freeway. In case study, the model successfully simulated traffic flows of 145,000 vehicles on CBD network of city of Seoul with 74 traffic zones, 133 signalized intersections among 395 nodes and 1110 links.

A Study of Safety Evaluation by Using Traffic Conflict Technique at an Intersection (상충기법을 이용한 교차로 안전진단에 관한 연구)

  • 교통문제는 과거에 비하여 보다 복잡해지고 다양해지고 있으며, 이러한 교통문제를 해결하기 위한 방안을 도출하는 분석기법 또한 다양해지고 있다. 이러한 기법중 안전도 평가기법에 관한 연구는 선진국에서는 1970년대부터 진행되어 왔으나, 이에 반하여 국내에서는 최근에서야 안전도에 대한 문제가 부각되면서 이에 대한 연구가 시작되고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문은 국내 외 연구사례를 중심으로 교통상충기법(TCT)을 소개하였고, 가장 진보된 방법인 스웨덴의 상충분석기법을 기반으로 국내에 적용할 수 있도록 모형을 개발하고 심각한 정도에 따라 4개 죤으로 분류하여 위험순위를 평가할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였으며, 실제로 이러한 상충분석기법을 국내의 3개 교차로 분석에 적용하여 보았다. 사고와 상충간의 conversion factor는 수집된 자료의 부족으로 사고자료의 심각도까지는 고려하지 못하였으 나, TA값을 구하고 4개죤 분류를 통하여 위험순위를 분석하여 교차로의 안전도평가에 이용할 수 있음은 보여주었다. 상충조사 분석은 안전도 평가를 저 비용과 짧은 시간내에 보다 상세한 결과를 도출할 수 있다는 점과 대상지의 사전 후 단기간 평가 방법에 가장 효과적인 기법이라는 측면에서 국내 안전도 평가에 많이 적용되기를 바란다.
