A Study on the Current Statue of Resources Development in Social Welfare Organizations (Focusing on the Residential Facilities for People with Disabilities) (사회복지조직의 자원개발 실태연구 -장애인 거주시설을 중심으로-)

  • This study identifies the statues of the resource development in residential facilities for people with disabilities to review the current level and propose necessary supporting measures to revitalize resource development in this current time when the importance of resource development is rising for social welfare organizations. Specifically, this study conducted a survey on the current statues and needs for resource development and focus group interviews to acquire in-depth opinions on the need for resource development and supporting measures in 255 nationwide residential facilities for the disabled. The results showed that 50% of the resource development for the residential facilities depended on private donations, while the presence of exclusive workforce made differences among development plans, performance and achievement. Also, their resource development methods were limited around direct requests, such as personal recommendations, as they are faced with challenges such as inadequate related expertise and technologies for resource development, lack of exclusive workforce, and lack of interest in available facilities in the local community. With reference to these findings, this study proposes the following development measures: placement of exclusive workforce, adoption of diverse resource development methods, transparent and reliable resource development, and preparation for systematic step-by-step professional training on resource development.

식물거점센터의 현황 및 역할

  • 식물거점센터는 교과부 지정 식물소재은행들의 생물자원의 체계적 통합 및 관리, 소재은행들과 연구소재 네트워크 형성, 표준화 관리 시스템 구축을 통한 소재의 효율적 관리, 인적 물적 자원 지원, 식물학, 농학, 생명공학, 유전학 등의 연구 기반 활성화 도모, 소재의 공동 영구보관 시스템 구축, 각 생물체별 데이터베이스 공동 구축, 공동 매뉴얼 작성 및 관련 연구, 공동 정보구축 지원, 중단소재은행의 자료 관리 시스템 구축을 목적으로 하여 2007년 4월 교육과학기술부에 의해 지정되어 출범하게 되었다. 식물거점센터는 한국배추게놈소재은행, 한국의 식물 DNA 은행II, 인삼유전자원소재은행, 감귤육종소재은행, 한국감자육종소재은행, 한약자원향장소재은행, 천연물 신약 표준화 소재은행, 대사질환소재은행 등 8개 소재은행으로 구성되어 있으며, 거점센터의 주요 역할은 OECD가 규정하는 resource center의 역할로 연구소재의 확보, 분류와 동정, 보관, 분량, 인력 양성, 컨설팅 등의 기능을 수행하고, 지점 소재은행은 연구소재 확보와 연구, 보관까지 수행하도록 하고, 지점센터의 데이터와 소재를 거점 은행에 제공하여 네트워크를 구축함으로써 전체적인 소재의 수급과 부족 상태를 파악하고 앞으로의 소재확보를 위한 전략 및 대책을 세울 수 있도록 하는 것이다. 이러한 역할을 통하여 가장 효과적으로 식물소재은행을 운영할 수 있는 방법을 함께 논의하여 공동으로 적용함으로써 연구 소재의 질과 식물소재은행의 운영을 표준화 할 수 있을 것이며 모든 소재은행과 함께 소재의 체계적인 기록 관리를 수행함으로서 소재의 이용과 신뢰성을 확보하고 연구자가 마음 놓고 연구를 수행할 수 있도록 자료를 제공할 수 있도록 함으로서 국가 경쟁력을 제고하도록 노력하고 있다.

Fuzzy Inference-based Replication Scheme for Result Verification in Desktop Grids (데스크톱 그리드에서 결과 검증을 위한 퍼지 추론 기반 복제 기법)

  • The result verification is necessary to support a guarantee for the correctness of the task results be executed by any unspecified resources in desktop grid environments. Typically, voting-based and trust-based result verification schemes have been used in the environments. However, these suffer from two potential problems: waste of resources due to redundant replicas of each task and increase in turnaround time due to the inability to deal with a dynamic changeable execution environment. To overcome these problems, we propose a fuzzy inference-based replication scheme which can adaptively determine the number of replicas per task by using both trusty degree and result return probability of resources. Therefore our proposal can reduce waste of resources by determining the number of replicas meeting with a dynamic execution environment of desktop grids, not to mention an enhancement of turnaround time for entire asks. Simulation results show that our scheme is superior to other ones in terms of turnaround time, the waste of resources, and the number of re-replications per task.

  • 인간의 주요한 경제행위로서의 어업은 현재 전세계에 걸쳐 여러 가지 문제들로 많은 어려움을 겪고 있는데, 그 가운데서 주된 내용이 자원유지와 어업행위와의 조절이다. 이에 따라 어업문제에 대한 해결과 지속적인 어업 발전의 실현에 대한 열망으로 세계 각지에서는 각기 다른 학문영역, 예를 들면 생물학, 경제학, 사회학 등 각 분야의 전문가들이 모여 생태보호 주의적 접근법(Conservation-minded techniques)이나 시장 기구에 의한 방법(Market-based instruments), 그리고 공동체에 기초한 관리(Community-centered approaches) 등과 같은 여러 가지 어업관리정책을 제시하고 있다. 이러한 여러 접근 방법 중에서 현재 세계적으로 폭넓은 지지를 받고 있는 것이 재산권에 기초한 ITQs과 협동어업관리제도(Co-management)이다. ITQ제도는 어업행위에 대한 사적 재산권의 설정을 근간으로 한다. 그러나 어업자원은 회유성이라는 자원의 본질적 성질에 의해 진정한 의미의 사유화는 어렵다. 따라서 어업자원은 완벽한 사유화가 이루어진다 하더라도 특히 어업 인구가 거대한 지역 또는 자원이 한정된 국가에 있어서는 충허용어획량의 개별 할당량이 어업에 있어서 규모의 경제와 같은 경제적 운영을 도모해 나가기에는 너무 적을 수도 있다. 그렇다면 여기에서 어떻게 어업관리를 합리적으로 운영하면 ITQ의 제도적인 이점을 이용하고, 동시에 ITQ제도의 경제적 제약을 극복할 수 있는지에 대해서 묻게 된다. 본 연구의 주목적은 이러한 의문으로부터 출발한 것으로, 협동어업관리제도에 의한 어업 할당량의 공동소유는 ITQ제도의 경제적 약점을 제거하는 동시에 그 이점을 누리는 최고의 해결책이 될 수 있다고 보고, 다음과 같은 내용에 대해 고찰하였다. 어업 문제의 본질은 어떻게 인식되는가, 어업문제 해결의 전통적 방식과 새로운 패러다임은 무엇인가, 그리하여 본 논문에서는 결론적으로 어업문제 해결의 새로운 패러다임으로서 협동어업관리 제도의 본질을 이해함과 아울러 재산권에 기반을 둔 협동업관리 제도의 통합모형을 제시하였다.

The Implementation of Fault Tolerance Service for QoS in Grid Computing (그리드 컴퓨팅에서 서비스 품질을 위한 결함 포용 서비스의 구현)

  • The failure occurrence of resources in the grid computing is higher than in a tradition parallel computing. Since the failure of resources affects job execution fatally, fault tolerance service is essential in computational grids. And grid services are often expected to meet some minimum levels of quality of service (QoS) for desirable operation. However Globus toolkit does not provide fault tolerance service that supports fault detection service and management service and satisfies QoS requirement. Thus this paper proposes fault tolerance service to satisfy QoS requirement in computational grids. In order to provide fault tolerance service and satisfy QoS requirements, we expand the definition of failure, such as process failure, processor failure, and network failure. And we propose resource scheduling service, fault detection service and fault management service and show implement and experiment results.

A Migration Method of Virtual Machines based Dynamic Threshold in Virtualization Environments (가상화 환경에서 동적 임계치 기반 가상 머신 이주 기법)

  • In an virtualization environment, several virtual machines use physical resources together. If a specific virtual machine uses to much of the computing resources, other machines may not be working properly. There are various method to solve this problem. Most representative study is to migrate a specified virtual machines to a different server, a target server. In this study, server load can be transferred to a target server by the remigrate of the load imposed on virtual machine. It is still problematic that virtual machine has to remigrate to a different server. This thesis has proposed the algorithm determining the remigration targets by applying dynamic thresholds to solve those problems. The migration algorithm applies dynamic thresholds according to the following criteria. Firstly, the usage of CPU, network and memory; secondly, decide the set of artificial machine and the target server based on the resources surpassed thresholds; thirdly, determine artificial machines based on the resource usage in the target server.

  • In this paper, I have designed and implemented the total management system to integrate PC and communications device operation of elementary, middle, and high school. The proposed system gives system information management, network information management, and remote management for PC and circuit management and performance analysis function for a router. For PC management, it supports system and network configuration information monitoring and current screen view of PC by remote screen capture. For network management, it provides gathering information of a line interface and analysis function such as utilization by polling. Thru total management system, system manager of teacher can have integrated operations of computerized resources in school by collecting and monitoring information of PCs and network elements.

  • Cloud computing is an Internet-based computing paradigm that provides services in a virtualized form composed of plenty of resources sharable. In Cloud computing environments, gossip protocols are engaged as a method to rapidly disseminate the state information for innumerable resources. Although gossip protocols provide a robust and scalable multicast, there is a drawback that requires redundant messages in satisfying 100% of reachability. In our study, we propose a Group-based Gossip Multicast Protocol in order to reduce the message overhead while delivering the state information efficiently. Furthermore, we verified the performance of the proposed protocol through experiments.

  • Cloud computing is a computing paradigm that provides user's services anywhere, anytime in a virtualized form composed of large computing resources based on internet or intranet. In Cloud computing environments, reliability of system is impact factor because many applications handle large data. In this paper, we propose an adaptive scheduling technique based on reliability with fault tolerance that manages resource variable and resolves problems(change of user's requirement, failure occurrence) in Cloud computing environment. Futhermore, we verified the performance of the proposed scheduling through experiments in CloudSim Simulation.

  • In this paper, we suggest performance enhanced Mobile Web service architecture. Mobile Web Services are new technology that integrates different applications to provide interoperability. SOAP is a lightweight message exchanging protocol and is a principal factor that decides the Web Services performance. When a mobile Web Service is implemented with the Java technology, it should be implemented with both a SOAP message processor like AXIS, and Java Servlet container (e.g. Tomcat). This typical implementation is not efficient because it requires an additional communication port and process. In this paper, we suggest a new method that replaces this typical approach to enhance Web Service performance.
