Analysis of Design Pattern of Engineering Design Curriculum (공학설계 교육과정의 설계방식 분석 - P대학 공학설계 교육과정을 중심으로 -)

  • This study was carried out to analyze the design pattern on engineering design curriculum P University based on the curriculum design model. For this study, the relation model between organizational factors by Drake & Burns(2004) and university curriculum design pattern Toohey(1999) were used as a frame of the analysis. From the analysis, we confirmed following results. Firstly, the relation between the subjects in the engineering design curriculum was designed to acquire the knowledges of facts, topics, and concepts and then to improve low-level skills, broad-range skills, and high-level skills related to engineering design sequently. Secondly, the design pattern of the engineering design curriculum analyzed in this paper is project and problem based structure. This result will be useful for reviewing and improving the relation between engineering design curriculum.

  • 본 논문에서는 게임프로그래밍을 위한 마이크로디그리 교육과정을 제안하였다. 마이크로디그리는 특정 분야에서 특정 기술이나 지식을 제공하기 위해 설계된 단기과정의 집중 교육프로그램이다. 본 논문에서는 마이크로디그리 교육과정 운영 사례로 나노디그리로 유명한 온라인교육플랫폼 회사인 Udacity와 해외 대학 중 온라인/오프라인 학위과정뿐만 아니라 Certificate 과정을 체계적으로 운영하고 있는 Full Sail University, 국내 대학 중 소프트웨어 관련 마이크로디그리를 운영하는 경희대학교의 교육과정을 분석하였다. 분석결과 Udacity는 데이터분석, 프로그래밍, 인공지능, 클라우드컴퓨팅 등을 중심으로 교육과정이 운영되고 있다. Full Sail 대학의 게임관련 Certificate 교육과정으로는 Game Business & Esports이 운영되고 있고, 게임프로그래밍을 위한 단기교육과정이 없음을 확인하였다. 경희대학 마이크로디그리 교육과정 중 게임과련 교육과정은 "게임공학마이크로디그리" 교육과정 있다. 이 교육과정은 게임프로그래밍과 관련한 마이크로디그리 교육과정이지만 수강생들의 수준을 고려하지 않은 측면이 있어 비전공자나 초보자가 이수하기에는 한계가 있다고 판단된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 사례 분석을 통해 게임프로그래밍을 위한 마이크로디그리 교육과정을 설계 제안하였다.

  • Recently a demand for student-centered creative design education is rapidly growing, but well organized design curriculum and design practice complex are not established properly in most universities. In this paper, we present a scheme for design-centered engineering curriculum and a method to build a design practice complex for creative design education which it is currently attracting a lot of interest in engineering education. Based on the analysis of the conventional curriculum of electronic engineering, a new curriculum and a design practice complex that is suitable for enhancement of professional practice capability and by which an effective engineering education through introductory design, element design and advanced design steps can be performed is described.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 창업교육을 하나의 사회 시스템으로 인식하고 고등학교 창업교육부터 대학 및 대학원의 창업교육, 예비 창업자들에 대한 일반 창업교육까지를 연계한 체계적인 창업교육의 설계방향을 제시하는 것이다. 특히도 창업의 저변확대를 위해 가장 핵심적 영역인 대학 학부의 창업교과과정의 바람직한 설계방향을 제시하고자 한다. 이에 창업교육에 대한 학자들의 관점, 국내대학 창업교육의 현황, 국내외 대학원의 창업교육 현황 등의 검토내용을 기반으로 대학 학부의 창업교과과정을 공통기초과정과 전공선택과정으로 나누어 설계하는 방안을 제시했다. 아울러 전공선택과정은 전공영역(major area)과 집중영역(concentration area)으로 나누어 설계할 것을 제언한다.

  • The objective of this study is to develop an IS curriculum and its action plan for footwear industry based on the Instructional System Design(ISD) that is widely used in curriculum developments. To this end, six steps, including a goal setting, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation are employed. Firstly, the explicit goal of IS curriculum development is defined and demands of IS education from the footwear companies are identified with questionnaires and interviews. In the design stage, the IS curriculum map is presented. With this map, the specific IT courses are established, classified by a type of industry, a function, and a level of skills. For the implementations, such particular actions as a selection of textbooks, places, managing trainees, and a training support plan are explained. Finally, the various evaluation methods are presented. The suggested IS curriculum can be applied to IS educations for the footwear companies and other related industries.

  • This paper suggests the methods of curriculum-standards analysis and collection analysis. This paper also designs the sample of archival contents for education based on this methods. This paper intends to verify the methods and to suggest a model of archival contents for education available in connection with the curriculum-standards by designing the archival contents for education on national unification in high school classrooms.

  • Curriculum can represent the identity of University as an important factor, and especially university has sole power to design and manage his curriculum. So, the information literacy curriculum which teach students to create, store, communicate their knowledge is very important position in the liberal arts curriculum. Thus, this study designs the reference model as 3-dimensional cubic model for information literacy curriculum to help curriculum designers design, manage, and evaluate it. For developing this model, I researched many books and web sites about some of domestic and U.S. universities' curriculums, and made up some questionnaires about students' satisfaction and the direction of information literacy education. An information literacy curriculum was designed using this reference model and lots of students are satisfied with this curriculum after activating in this class. Designed cubic reference model which has a characteristic to expose flexible and systematic context representation in the university curriculum can guide researchers to design, manage, and evaluate information literacy curriculum.

  • Design of a new information technology curriculum is very difficult work. It has relatively short history of operation. It advances very fast. Furthermore, people have very different understandings between information application and information knowledge. Therefore making decision for information technology contents is very difficult work. So we try to get effectiveness of the curriculum design through the comparison with other countries' cases. In this paper we tried to search and analyze about the historical trends, current states, and characteristics of Chinese information technology curriculum. China has strong focus on information technology education while she makes great success in economic development. We also suggested some good points of Chinese information technology curriculum which can be adapted to the design of a new Korean computer curriculum. The China's information technology curriculum is summarized by four categories. They are (1) educations on the basic knowledges and functions of the stable level of information technology, (2) educations on the information technology applications for the problem solving, (3) educations for the individualized learning through the research and project implementations in depth, and (4) systematic arrangements and integrated operations of the information technology curriculum.

  • 정보 교육과정 모형은 컴퓨터를 사용하는 방법을 교육하는 것이 아니라, 학습자의 체계적이고 구조화된 사고력 함양을 위한 방향으로 연구되어야 한다. 컴퓨터를 통해 실생활을 모델링하고, 모델링한 결과를 통한 추상화는 인간은 사고의 폭을 넓혀 나갈 수 있다. 이러한 과정을 통하여, 학생들은 실생활에 적용되는 사물들을 이해할 수 있으며, 또한 이를 통해 프로그래밍 과정을 하고, 이를 변형시키는 사고력을 얻게 될 것이다. 따라서 본 논문은 정보교육을 위한 교육과정 설계는 지식의 획득을 위한 인식 모형이나 컴퓨터 활용능력함양을 위한 프로그래밍 모형과는 구별되는 정보교육과정의 특성에 맞는 교육과정 모형의 개발을 제안하였다. 객체지향 설계를 통하여 객체 및 클래스와 상속성 개념에 기반한 정보교육과정을 구성하여 사고의 추상화와 확장성 및 재사용성을 높이는 방안으로 초등학생 자료구조 교육과정을 제시하였다.

  • This study aimed to develop an engineering design-based science education program for high school students and to investigate its effects on students' science-related attitudes and engineering design abilities. "Creating healthy shoes for maintaining proper posture program" was developed as an activity to come up with creative solutions using the methodology of an engineering design process to solve problems in daily life. The creating healthy shoes for maintaining proper posture program consisted of the following five stages: "defining the problem," "ingathering information related to the problem," "generating the solution," "implementing the best solution," and "evaluating the solution & reflecting." As a result of applying this engineering design-based science education program, it improved the high school students' science-related attitudes and engineering design abilities. Therefore, the program developed in this study has a positive effect on enhancing high school students' science-related attitudes and engineering design abilities. These findings imply that the continuous operation and expansion of activities incorporating an engineering design process in science education are necessary as a teaching and learning strategy for cultivating future science talents.
