This paper is a study on the understanding process of「Matrix and Graph」on discrete mathematics using TI-92 calculator. For this purpose, we investigated the understanding process of two middle school students learning the concepts of matrix and graph using TI-92 calculator. In this process, we collected qualitative data using recorder and video camera. Then we categorized these data as follows: students' attitude related to using technology, understanding process of meaning, expression and operation of matrix and graph, mathematical communication, etc. From this, we have the following conclusions: First, students inquired out the meaning and role of matrix by themselves using calculator. We could see that calculator can do the role of good learning partner to them. Second, students realized their own mistakes when they used calculator on the process of learning matrix. So we found that calculator could form the self-leading learning circumstance on learning matrix. Third, calculators reinforce the mathematical communication in learning matrix and graph. That is, calculator could be a good mediator to reinforce mathematical communication between teacher and students, among students on learning matrix and graph.

This study investigated the learning process of Chines international student within a technology environment, who was studying in Korea to be well equipped as a math teacher in future. Her activities were observed and guided in a class for pre-service teachers in one university, Kyunggido, in the second semester of 2014. She experienced obstacles such as the lacks of comprehending Korean sentences, Korean math terminologies, mathematical concepts, and fidelities of technology in her learning. She was recovered by bilingual effect, visualization activities, repetition activities, and group activities. There was a learning helper who made her learning possible in a bilingual way. Thus, the bilingual education is crucial for students with multi-cultural background.

Peer evaluation is an evaluation centered on the student, through which interaction among students becomes active. The peer evaluation has a greater influence on students than a unilateral directions from the teacher has. This study aims to develop performance assessment models and tasks in which students participate using the remote responder in 4th grade social studies classrooms in the elementary school. It also aims to apply the developed models and tasks to class and to find out how they affect students' academic achievement and attitude. The student participation performance assessment using the remote responder appeared to bring a positive influence on social studies academic achievement and showed statistically significant results. The survey on the students' interests in using the remote responder and its effects conducted after the performance assessment showed positive results.

This study is to propose a communication strengthening teaching model using action learning for Spanish learners, and to verify its effectiveness through a case study of Spanish lessons. This study was conducted under the same conditions by dividing 91 students from September 1 to December 20, 2019 into experiment and control classes. As a result of the experiment, both classes improved their writing ability to some extent, but the learners in the experimental class applying action learning showed more meaningful results in terms of the content, expressions, fluency of the text, and the affective domain test also showed a significant difference. The development of this teaching model, which is necessary for learner-centered convergence activities, is expected to be of academic significance as it can be used for other foreign language class activities as well as improving Spanish communication.

The purpose of this study is to explore the research trend changes of convergence education since 2011 compared to the convergence education research that has been steadily continuing in science education. The trend in convergence education were investigated by comparing the number of publications, research subjects, research content, and topic linkages with previous studies, and using the network analysis method to check recent research trends. In the field of science education, the number of papers related to convergence education has been published more than 8.0% steadily, and it has been increasing since 2012, then decreasing again from 2015 and gradually increasing again from 2017. The subjects of study were high in elementary school students, while those in middle school, high school, and university students were low. While the number of in-service teachers increased, the number of pre-service teachers decreased, and the literature and public increased somewhat. In study content, effectiveness studies decreased, while development studies increased, and theoretical and perception studies appeared similar. In thematic linkage, the intra-science linkage was 23.9%, and the extra-science linkage was 76.1% and engineering/technology and art were high in extra-science linkage. In network analysis, elementary, science, STEAM, and program words have a high frequency of appearance and appear together with other words to lead the network. The educational implications of the research trend of convergence education will be more emphasized in the field of science education in the future, and in order to take root in the education field, research on secondary students should be more actively studied. In addition, it is necessary to move away from research on STEAM-centered program development and effects, and to increase research to establish the philosophical basis and theoretical of convergence education.

The reform of teacher policies to raise the quality of teachers has been one of the major priorities of countries around the world. Especially, the structure of elementary and secondary teacher education institutions has been the focus of international teacher policy reform agenda. Despite the problems faced by Korean teacher education system, the reform policy effort has not been actively pursued. Based on this problem recognition, this study seeks to analyze the case of Ireland to reveal the characteristics of teacher education system restructuring including background of restructuring, key strategies, and major contents. We found that the restructuring of Irish system was triggered by both domestic and international initiatives to tackle the problems of the system. The restructuring effort was led by the government and showed several distinctive features, such as reducing the number of institutions, combining elementary and secondary teacher education institutions, and strengthening research capacity of institutions. Base on the findings, a few policy recommendations were made to reignite the discussions on the reform of teacher education system in South Korea.

This study was designed to create an innovative Korean school space plan. This was done by performing an analysis of cases of student-tailored class operations and the composition of school space in Sweden's Vittra Telefonplan School. To this end, the research team analyzed prior studies, the Vittra school space and the student-tailored classes through an analysis of the literature, documents and video images. First, the OpenSpace was operating classes tailored to each student's academic growth and needs. Second, the open-space school space played a role as the space for student life. Third, the teacher played a role as an active guide and facilitator of students. Forth, the students' individual learning management team actively conducted coding classes by utilizing IT-based learning platforms. The implications of the Vittra School are as follows. When designing a new school, it is recommended to design a small school as small as possible, organize an open space according to the grade and not by the class, and operate the curriculum around the students' grade. When reorganizing existing schools, it is proposed that standardized classrooms be modified for schools with spare classrooms to create learning spaces that can vary for large to small and to practice project-oriented classes at the grade level.

In this paper, we designed the on-line Real-time Video Communication Learning System(RVCLS) for Web-based project learning and develop programs for test groups. And we have also analyzed how the Web-based learning using RVCLS change the students' perception on the classroom environment, using the WIHIC which is the classroom environment examination tool As a result, the Web-based project learning activities using RVCLS had affirmative effects on the eight areas of classroom environment such as students unity, teacher support, participation in class, spontaneity, exploration activities, task-oriented mind, cooperative attitude, and equality. Also, the web -based project learning using RVCLS is expected to help students enhance the self-directed learning capacity and increase abilities to use ICT.

Program learning outcome is widely used for assessing and improving program quality. There are various methodologies that can measure program quality and improve program learning outcomes. In this paper, we used formative approach in Capstone design course, since it is the most effective in terms of improving program learning outcomes due to the course's intrinsic nature. To integrate a formative approach into Capstone design course, we develop a feedback structure which is a key element in formative approach and define several sub phases that manage feedback structures and their own evaluation criteria. As a result, we observed a noticeable improvement for students performance in capstone design course.

This paper aims to suggest new strategies for operating school library digital resource room by analyzing the current states of 349 school library digital resource room and its educational effects. The project for school library digital resource room provided the foundations for the various informational and educational services : extended information materials, changes in library environment, collecting information through the web sites, providing authentic materials, reading instruction, library assisted instruction (LAI). The suggestions are as follows. 1) The national standards is required for the digital resources room in school libraries. 2) Reading and information literacy instruction should be institutionalized. 3) Library assisted instruction (LAI) should be included in school curriculum. 4) Professionally qualified teacher librarians are required for planning and managing the school library. 5) School library in-service program is needed for all members of the school community.
