The purpose in this study was to provide a basic resource for enhancing teachers' professional competence by examining how the Home Economics(HE) teachers had formed, developed, and introspected the pedagogical content knowledge in the HE classes of secondary schools. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with six HE teachers working at secondary schools. NVivo program, a kind of CAQDAS was used to analyze the data inductively. This study revealed that the HE teachers reflectively introspected the pedagogical content knowledge in Home Economics Education(H-PCK) as follows: First, as for knowledge of perspective on Home Economics Education(HEE), the research participants encouraged students to solve practical problems regarding the objective of HEE. They tried to foster the students' critical thinking ability related to the daily life. They made eager efforts to achieve the mission of HEE as a practical science. Second, as for knowledge of HE curriculum, the research participants mentioned that there was lack of systematic approach concerned with curriculum development. While reorganizing, they always paid attention to its relation to the students' daily lives, to the relationship between the curriculum contents and the social context. Third, as for knowledge of teaching strategies on practical problem-based instruction, the research participants developed the practical problem-based instruction skills. They mentioned students' difficulties in relating the practical problem-based instruction, too. Fourth, regarding knowledge of context, as teachers mostly prepared for progressed instruction alone without communicating with colleagues in the same school, they yearned for and also formed networks with other HE teachers in order to overcome their limitations.

This article is a review report on the middle school mathematics textbooks, based on "2015 Revision of National Curriculum". Considering future textbooks, this report is to keep a record of the review. In this report, I mainly discuss the mathematical aspects (but not educational or pedagogical aspects) of the textbooks. I sincerely hope that the content of this article is to be discussed and examined further by the society of mathematics education and the society of mathematics.

Problems in mathematics textbooks are very important because there is a high reliance on textbooks in elementary school mathematics classes and there is a strong belief that mathematics is to find the solution to problems. Considering this importance, we analyzed problems in elementary mathematics textbooks quantitatively and qualitatively. Concretely, problems of addition and subtraction with carry on in the range of two digit numbers in the mathematics textbooks from the 1st to the 2015 national revised curriculum were analyzed. As a result, the problems in each textbook were found to reveal important features of the textbook reflecting changes in curriculum and educational background. And the problem of textbooks has changed in the direction of enhancing students' reasoning, communication, and problem solving ability. Based on these results, we suggested several implications for dealing with problems in elementary mathematics textbooks.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the contents on statistics in elementary mathematics textbook according to 2009 school curriculum. And we analyzed the elementary mathematics textbook in the light of data collection, graph understanding level suggested by Cursio. Specially, we analyzed the contents within the framework of evaluation norm suggested in 2015 school curriculum. We expect that this study will be a fundamental reference for the development of textbook according to 2015 school curriculum.

This study suggests ameliorated Library and Information Science education, and its curriculum for education of national subject specialists. For that purpose, this study investigates and compares four internal universities, three American universities along with the figures of the present and future subjects to face updated educational plans and prepare to become a new information specialist at ALA(American Library Association), ALISE(Association for Library and Information Science Education), and other agents. The results of this study can be used as the basic data for training 'subject specialist' in the university curriculum.

Since new issues and topics are emerging in the information and library science fields, diverse needs are identified to enhance the curriculum of library and information science education. This study investigated curriculum of library and information science in US and identified the topics of classes in the curriculum by the three aspects such as competency areas, scientific and technology category, and research fields. Consequently, topics related various information technology including system design and implement are the most popular topics in all analyses. Library and information center management and user service are also major topics of the curriculum.

Definitions in elementary school mathematics textbooks are given to represent mathematical contents in terms of mathematical symbols and terms. In this study, we investigate the definitions in elementary school mathematics textbooks of the 7th and the revised 2007 curricula to comparatively analyze their contents and the way they are stated and suggest implications on teaching and learning mathematics.

This study is done to compare and to analyze middle school Informatics textbooks developed according to 2007 revised national curriculum. In this paper, suggestions are made for improvement on Informatics textbooks. Textbooks were analyzed based on two criteria, in framework and content, and collected data were analyzed according to Content Analysis method. As a result of analysis, a framework of textbooks showed differences in the entire construction, discipline-specific weight, content developing structure, and types of assessment, and content of textbooks showed differences in the concepts and the kinds of programming language. Six improvements in developing Informatics textbook from the results of content analysis were suggested and this will be helpful in developing the Infomatics textbook in the future.

중학교 기하교육의 목적은 학생들의 수학적인 상황을 보는 기하학적인 직관과 논리적 추론능력의 향상이다. 그러나 이 두 가지 모두 만족스럽지 못한 실정이다. 본 고에서는 중학교 기하교육의 문제를 직관기하와 형식기하의 단절이라는 보고, 직관기하에서 증명의 학습요소를 미리 학습하여 직관기하와 형식기하를 연결하자는 대안을 제시한다. 이를 위해 7-나 교과서의 증명요소를 분석하고자 하였다. 관련문헌을 검토하여 7가지 증명의 학습요소를 선정한 후, 교과서를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 기호화를 제외한 다른 증명의 학습요소는 매우 빈약한 것으로 나타났다. 직관기하 영역에 대한 교과서 구성이 개선될 필요가 있음을 알 수 있다.

This study is aimed at the status analysis and formulation of directions for the library and information science as part of major study area for the education and training of archivist. For this purpose, this study analyzed curricular of library and information science department of 35 four year universities all over Korea and the changes in the curricular of records management area and reviewed and analyzed the library and information science professors's articles of records management area which were published in 7 journals for the purpose of their publication trend. It was found out that the study trend of the record management area, as part of library and information science, was influenced by the new study fields, the increase in subject opening, founding of academic societies and publication of new journal, enactment and amendment of disciplinary character of studies, etc. Based on this, the necessity for opening of new records management courses, interdisciplinary research, investigation of records management education and researches of other study fields were proposed.
